I recently downloaded a software update and after the phone rebooted, a majority of my contacts are no longer available. I've resynced the SIM contacts, and they are still missing. However, when I go through my call log, I can select the number (which shows the contact name) and view the contact by pushing the balackberry key?how I can display all the contacts?

I do not have a filter set, and I have contacts set to show all....but no contacts are showing. I also set up youmail.... and it pulled my contacts, all of them, but as far as I can tell they are nowhere to be found in the phone? I have a feeling I will feel really silly for asking, but help please!?

But now when I try to retrieve the pictures I'm going to media -> explore -> media card -> pictures.but it's not showing my 'backgrounds' folder, so I have no option to show hidden.

When i am in Explore mode and select the Show Hidden option, I can see all my previous files/folders. All the folders on the mem card have been hidden, and thus my device cant access the files.

All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. So i decided to put in some pictures of us together since all she had was photos taken off the monitor of her computer. Thought it would be sweet and all until i unplugged the USB and went to the pictures. A lot of pictures all of a sudden showed up that weren't there before. One of them was not mine. So obviously she was cheating on me. When i switched the SIM card and put in into my phone i accidentally lost the pictures and can't seem to get them back. Also, this does not work:
* Go into your Media icon, hit the menu button, and choose Explore * Navigate to the folder where the pictures are located at * Once you're in the folder, hit the menu button, and choose Show Hidden * All of the hidden pictures will appear as being dimmed out * Once you find the picture, select it, hit the menu button, go into Properties * Uncheck the "Hidden" box When i do that only one image shows. We're talking about a whole album here thats hidden?
Back story: I set up my hotmail account in my e-mail application and was never getting any e-mails. A friend of mine told me to try using my gmail account instead, so i added my gmail account to the mail app and deleted my hotmail account. i thought everything was going fine when it said that a new icon would appear on my home screen for this mail account. i waited until the little clock/processing thing was finished and pressed 'ok'. when i went to my home screen, no icon...here are the things i have tried so far:- taking my battery out to restart my phone- resetting my theme, resetting my icons in my theme- googling it; all they are telling me to do is to press 'alt+scroll' and select show icons (when i do this the scrolling voids the alt, and also they keep saying the alt key is a crescent moon which it is not for me)- went to my phone service provider and the girl there said she has had this problem before and would call the girl that helped her, and when i came back she said there was some way to 'show/hide icons but it was impossible to troubleshoot over the phone' aka she was absolutely useless.
