Jan 2, 2012I downloaded the photo editor from BBAW, the one they were giving out for free cause of the outage a while back! I received an update for it and it completely destroyed my operating system on my Torch 9800! All it does it boot up and then reboot now, tried everything but nothing works! Nov 24, 2010I have a Torch 9860 that has problems with my new 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe. I can pair it with the bluetooth in the car, and it will sometimes keep the connection on the next trip, but usually I get a 'connection failed' message.If I revert to the previous OS version, the problem goes away. I had to have the phone replaced recently, though, and the problem is back. It works great with a Jabra earpiece, but not with the car. I could do the same downgrade, but I would prefer not to.

Sep 8, 2010With the Bold 9000 I set the start time to 9am and end time to 10am, so it would not show every hour even if there is not an appointment. With the Torch, it still shows every hour from 12am to 12am. I like the day view, but having all the free time wastes time with scrolling.

Mar 11, 2011My USB connector from my Curve has been working intermittently since a couple of days and before running into more problems, I bought a Torch. I realize now that the USB connector from old Curve doesn't allow me to transfer data to my Desktop Manager. I'm looking for a way to transfer the most I have in my curve (address book, emails, notes, passwords, etc..) without my USB cable. I've been trying to hook up the 2 phones with bluethoot, but it asks me some kind of access key number of the new Torch (which I completely ignore). But even if I would have that access key, would this work?I may get a Bluetooth adaptor for my PC, as I have read that we can transfer data to Desktop Manager that way, but would have to buy such adaptor - not expensive, but if I could do it directly from 2 phones?

Apr 1, 2012I am trying to copy all my data from my torch to my bold siince the torch has to go for repairs, have tried deivce switch, normal backup and restore, backup through blackberry protect, everything else works fine except the copy of contacts, which obviously is the most improtant thing. when i try to restore the contacts through the DM, through the customize option where i can select what i want to restore (contacts, emails, etc) everything else is open to choose except the contacts, where i cant select the contacts as its marked in grey and a little piece of information below says this is only a read only data hence cant be copied.

Nov 22, 2012I back-up my blackberry through desktop manager about once every two weeks. Yesterday, my phone crashed and gave me an error message, forcing me to update my software and wiping the phone in the process. It did this once before as well. When I went to go restore my blackberry after the update, the last backup file I could find was from May. I backed it up two days ago. I've backed it up a ton of times since last May. This doesn't make any sense.I've lost all my contacts, all my messages, everything that I gained in the last six months.Does anyone know where the files could be, or why Desktop Manager might have messed up like this and not actually been making backups when it said it was? I restored with the May backup and tried backing it up, and of course now it works and the file is in the Blackberry Backups folder. I've searched for .bbb files on my computer and found nothing beyond what's in the folder.
