Jan 17, 2011Recently in Dec 2010 I won the Blackberry Torch phone in the Fastest Thumb-texting competition held at 1 court sq , in Long IslandCity NY. The Competition was sponsored by RIM & AT&T.Phone came with no contract and no commitements.I want to give this phone to father as a gift(lives in othercountry) but I don't have a unlock code. Could someonetell me the best possible way to get it?AT&T gave me hard time and said they dont have the unlock code and asked me to contact RIM?

Sep 8, 2010With the Bold 9000 I set the start time to 9am and end time to 10am, so it would not show every hour even if there is not an appointment. With the Torch, it still shows every hour from 12am to 12am. I like the day view, but having all the free time wastes time with scrolling.

Aug 11, 2010I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

Apr 26, 2010As you already know, the ring volume on the Torch 9800 is extremely low. So I tried to email custom mp3 ringtones to my phone to use instead. In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?
