BB Torch :: Contact Duplicates After Latest Software
May 9, 2012
I am on 9800/6.0.0.706Recently my phone was repaired at service center and I had taken a total back-up on desktop, When I got my phone with new os version. I restored the data . Which was successful Now the problem is that when I start setting of google sync thru my email set up duplicates appear of all contact entriesI have gone and deleted these thru contact --> options --> rest and deleted the contact list. But when I enable sync then again 2 lists appear n the entries of contacts duplicate.
Checked for updates last night and woke up this morning with a notification that an OTA update is available for T-Mo. I went ahead and let the phone update this morning and it took about an hour. so i just went to send a text message just now and i type the person's name in that i want to send it to and notice there are duplicate entries in my phone book! What gives?! Can someone help me out here as to getting back single contact entries? NOTE: NOT ALL CONTACTS WERE DUPLICATED. NOTE: I was currently operating on the .586 OS now i'm at the most current version .7something
i have the curve 8530 and there is a new gmail thing, where it ask's you if you want to sync your contacts to gmail account. DON'T DO IT. i did it and two things happened:
1.contact name duplicates
2.numbers re-arranged (other people's number's under the wrong people etc.)
what i did was put all my 'un-messed up' contacts in Microsoft outlook and went to the Verizon store, they told me about the gmail problem, and they are sending me a new phone. when i get it i will use desktop manager to put all those contacts from Microsoft outlook and put them on my new phone.i suggest everyone with this problem, do it.
When I go to edit contacts I see that motorola services contact has the same contact replicated 10 times or more. How can I solve this if I want to edit the contact information?
Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld. Download here: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4
Instructions for installing on the 9800: 1. Download the above OS file to the PC then install it to the PC by running (double clicking) the file you downloaded. 2. Go to c:program filescommon files esearch in motionapploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml." Vista/Win7 users: In the apploader folder, simply click on "Compatibility files" to see the actual Vendor.xml file. Once you've got that - simply delete the vendor.xml file there (even if you've deleted or think you've deleted it in the folder previously) and voila, it will allow you to update to the newly installed OS! 3. Plug in BB and double click on "Loader.exe." It's located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.
The process may take up to 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a black "BlackBerry" screen with a status bar for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization". If, for some reason, you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to the PC again and run Loader.exe again, and it should load the OS to the device.
I just updated my bb to the newest bundle. However all my languages have changed, I have korean thai, and bahasa indonesia. The update deleted english, french, and spanish. How can I add them back into the language section?
I just updated the operating software on my Torch last night as I went about doing other things. It remained plugged into my laptop overnight, during which time the laptop went into sleep mode. When I opened up the screen this morning, the BlackBerry dialog box said the update was completed successfully; however, I have been unable to turn the phone on at all. I get no lights, no sound, nothing!
Does anyone know the latest version of the os6 for torch 9800?Currently my phone reads 6.0.0.695 Bundle (v6.0.0.246, Platform 6.4.0.105). When i try updating it via the browser, the desktop software and through the phone, it says it is the latest firmware but i have read the latest IMEI no:(personal info removed) and pin no: (personal info removed)
Updating to latest Software but installation froze on " net_rim_vad_engine_resource_no.cod" . Desktop Software will now not connect to device and it eventually shows " application error 200" reset.
After I updated to 6.0.0.600, when I want to make a call and im on the middle tab where u see all the calls, when i touch one of the made or receive calls it wont call. I have to push the trackpad or the green button over for the call.

I use the smartphone listed below. When I click on the menu, I have the UNLINK choice on the menu. Most of the duplicate listings, are CLOUD or Google. How do I get rid of the Duplicates without deleting them individually.?
I've have had my phone since May and I noticed something that is bothering me. Some of my contacts seem to be disappearing and others have multiple duplicates. What's the best way to add new contacts to the phone and sync them along with contacts already in the phone? I used to use gmail which worked awesome but didn't they stop syncing? For example if I add a new contact to my phone now it says "Contact Type" I then tap the bar and it gives me the option of adding the contact to "SIM", "Google", "Microsoft Hotmail", another address titled "Google" and "Phone" so which one should I choose? All I want is to make sure when I add a contact to the phone it gets synced with something else and I only want a single contact per person. How to accomplish that?
Have duplicate contacts on iPhone and iPad...sometimes multiple duplicates of same contacts. Contact in iCloud Sync is turned off.Contacts managed through Exchange.Have deleted and re-added Exchange account multiple times. Fixes the problem temporarily. What's the permanent fix?
I have a very annoying and weird problem with my Blackberry.I got my new Curve 9360 last week and set up my 2 hotmail emails on it. I used to have an old Curve before and used the same emails on it. When I started using the emails I realised that whenever I reply from my Blackberry device the email content duplicates itself so the person on the other end receives the original content*2. So for example if I reply with word "test" and message will arrive as "testtest". Would you know how to fix it? I have tried everything - removed and added back my email accounts, wiped all the data and installed everything back again, deleted my blackberry ID and created a new one and even exchanged the blackberry device itself.
I have tried to delete duplicates, i have also unchecked faceboodm skype, google, and hotmail, but still most numbers and e-mail adresses come up double!
Last night I upgraded my OS to the 6.0 Bundle 2921(v 6.0.0.666 platform 6.6.0.241) and all day I've had my reminders show up twice. I dismiss and it pops right back up again. It doesn't go any farther than the second time I press dismiss.
I have an and an new imac all with the latest updates on.
I have all my music on a NAS and have added it to itunes using the library. (no duplicates and they all play through itunes on the macÂ
My music collection on the iphone is full of unplayable music (grayed out) it just skips to the itunes songs. i have tried everything to delete it all using the usages and delete all music option. It almost looks like a music database needs to be rebuilt!! Yes they are CD's of mine i have added to the list and they worked once. Just started playing up after i ran a restore when my phone got updated from a 4sÂ
This is really annoying, on my kids phones you just drag the music you want onto there sony. Why is this so rubbish and how do i fix it. iPhone 6 order on stand by until this is sorted
I recently bought a new Macbook Air and love the machine running Mavericks. However, it now seems that when I use HTC Sync Manager to sync my photos with my HTC One phone, two issues occur:
1) It often doesn't seem to recognize my phone is connected even though it says it is. So I have to unplug the phone and restart HTC Sync Manager again. Sometimes several times before it recognizes it.
2) Each time I sync it the HTC Sync Manager duplicates my photos in iPhoto. WTF is that??? So I have to go into iPhoto and delete all the dupes.
I had to restore, among other things, Google calendar. It has duplicated many items. Is there a way to delete all those Duplicates without deleting them individually?
I downloaded photos from my MacBook to my new iPhone4S. I discovered several duplicates and would like to delete them. I have not been able to figure out how to do so.
After I upgraded to ICS on my Neo V, I noticed that my SD card was getting full without my doing anything. So I checked out in the file manager app what was taking up all the space and I found that in the DCIM there was a folder by the name of .thumbnails which I thought stores, well, the thumbmnails of course. It initially had 2 copies of every image on my phone and was taking up about 35 MB, so I deleted all the files. No issues there after. But the folder just keeps filling up with as many as 5 copies of every thumbnail, so I have to clear it when I start running out of space. The last time I deleted them, they were taking up about 60 MB of storage. This did not used to happen before I upgraded to ICS.
