In the Torch 9800, I found the hidden application "Desktop" which is the difference between the Messages and Desktop apps? The both show messages and I don't see any difference.Torch 9800 uses BB OS 6 Bundle 1165.

My daughter wants to upgrade from her current 9300 and wants a bigger screen and touch screen/and or keys.These are the choice (I'm in UK) 9860, 9810 or 9380. She's keep going between the full touch, to the touch with keys 9810.Can someone help with the choice who had a similar situation. I tell her that he 9810 looks bulky with the slide, the 9860 and 9380 to me are the same apart from the size of the touchscreen, 3.7" to 3.2" Does this matter much? Is typing still easy on the smaller 3.2" touchscreen?

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
I have an iPhone 4s and a Mac and iPad. I have Messages installed on the desktop and iPad. When I get a text through the Messages app, it does not go to my phone, but goes to the desktop. Which is not very handy when I am not sitting in front of it. The conversations do not appear on my iPhone or iPad if they are on the desktop.Â

I am running BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0.1.37 and the 'Reconcile Email Messages' option is disabled and 'Email' is not mentioned in 'Configure Sync". I have a BlackBerry non-enterprise data plan with my carrier. My computer is running XP PRO sp3 and Office 2007 is installed My question is how do I sync the sent messages from my Bold 9700 back into Outlook 2007?

My phone works ok and I can send BB messages, but I can't receive any BB messages from outside Europe. I have tried taking the battery out and waiting a bit, re registring my handheld with the wireless network and still the problem persists.

I do not know how to get Desktop Manager (6.0 Bundle 1165) to recognize Outlook. On the Contacts sync page I get one choice Window Contacts, On Calender and Tasks I get iCalender and on Memos I get Organizer Application not supported.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently updated OS 5 to OS 6 on my Bold 9700 and I was not impressed. OS 6 though smother has cluttered main screen with solid blue highlights - OS 5 is way better in that respect. But my main beef is Media Player. On OS 5 I can copy and paste videos from my computer to media card (without desktop manager) and they all play flawlessly; slider works and I can pick up movie at the point I have left it off. Files are coded for 480x320 resolution for .wmv, .mp4 and .avi. And card was properly formatted. In OS 6 however only .wmv are playing properly. Rest of them are always playing form the beginning and when slider is used video becomes scrambled. .mp4 flies are coded through Nero and are not recognized by BB desktop software. Can anybody shed some light on this issue and have a workaround.I have downgraded back to OS 5.

For some reason it does not recognise that I have already installed this ( btw I use windows vista with MS Office 2007). I have also fully deleted from programs and reinstalled the BB desktop but same result each time. View 4 Replies View RelatedUntil last Tuesday, I was away on holidays. Prior to this my Blackberry was working perfectly. However since coming back, I noticed that my laptop & handset do not talk. I was told by the Blackberry software that my handset needed a new upgrade. I tried to upgrade, but this failed & in the meantime, my contacts which were supposedly backed up were obliterated. It claimed the fact that I had a password (which I used to stop my phone making phone calls without my knowing in my pocket) was preventing the upgrade from happening.
I am now literally without phone & lost.
