My 9810 has been scrolling through pictures and pages on it's own. Also the cursor floats all over webpages and will even jump in text boxes so that I can't complete words. Is this a software thing or could it be my device?
View 6 RepliesThe problems I've been having are intermittent disconnection of the mouse using a Logitech v470. When I used the Apple Magic Mouse I never had an issue but you weren't able to scroll in the browser using the touch feature. Some scrolling standardization among all the apps and OS would be nice. Some parts you have to click and drag to scroll (scrolling bookmarks in the browser, App World and in the OS launcher) while other parts like documents or the browser you can use the scroll wheel perfectly. Scrolling on pages that open up windows or use pains is also not possible using the mouse. For example scrolling in gmail for tablets and scrolling if you open up a picture using facebook.com. Gesturing using the the right mouse button is fantastic but I'd like to be able to hold either the right or left buttons and bring up the contextual menus. Currently this is only accomplished by having to touch the device which is ok as long as the device is within reach but hook it up to your TV and you're sol. Copying and pasting by selecting text with the keyboard (crtl+a) works sometimes and other times you're just better off using your finger to bring up the select widgets and copy/paste that way. I really like how you're able to tab text boxes using the tab key.
Overall I'm very happy but these few annoyances really hold the device back from being used on the couch with a TV or being used anywhere out of arms reach for that matter. Being able to scroll with inertia while holding the right mouse button would be really nice. Anything you can do with your finger should be able to be accomplished mimicking those motions while holding or clicking the right mouse. I hope in the next update or sometime soon these issues are addressed.
I have a bb 9810. and the camera has a glitch. As long as the phone is turned on out of no where the camera would pop up and take multiple pics till i close it but even then it will still pop up again and take more pics till i close the camera app and its a cycle basically. But the good thing is that it doesn't do it all the time but when it does it becomes very annoying and reaches to the point where i cant do anything on the bb because the camera keeps popping up and taking pics. I tried installing the different os systems that my carrier offers but the same issue.

I do not have a memory card in the phone and there is no pictures on and only 9 songs so it cannot be the memory that is causing this problem.When I take a picture it shows at the bottom of the screen but it does not save to the phone as well as when I bluetooth music it downloads and shows download complete but when I check the music folder it does'nt appear.I have tried inserting a memory card but the items on the memory card does not appear on the phone.
View 9 Replies View Relatedopying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).

If there's more than about 10 texts between me and someone and I'm scrolling up (say if I want to remember something that's been said a while back so scroll up to find a previous text) a lot of the time the torch cursor will disappear and it won't let me continue to scroll? It's as if it's frozen but if I exit the text conversation the rest of the phone is fine. And it freezes exactly in the same place every time!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my BB Torch for 7 months now and I've always had this problem where it will automatically scroll through the icons or scroll down through the messages if I happen to have message open. I don't know how to stop it, I end up turning the phone off and on again and it stops it from happening, but it is only a temporary fix as it always starts up again. it also seems to cause my BB to freeze on me.

1- The big screen.
2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard.
3- Latest OS.
As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810.
For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones.
Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.
