I replaced my Torch 9800 LCD a couple days ago. The battery was dead, so when I connected it so it could charge, I saw that the charging screen was odd. It is supposed to be black and the gray battery with the yellow thingy, and it was a white background and instead of a yellow thingy, it was blue. Now all of my OS is inverted, I changed the option in the settings but nothing helped. In fact, when it is set to normal, it is inverted, and when is inverted, it is normal, I don't know what to do, this option does not affect the camera. When I use the camera it looks like negative or like an x ray.
I've just got a Torch 9800 as a gift from my wife to replace my old BB Curve 8520. I love my new BB, but there's a problem and I can't seem to fix it.The phone is always on reverse contrast...so, to actually see the screen the normal way I have to activate the reverse contrast option. But still, the videos and photos look reverse. I upgraded the OS but still, its like if the BB was configure from the start to be with reverse contrast.
I just buy a brand new n8 today. I notice the difference in screen color tone. My nokia n8 screen color just show reddest color. And also it looks like it working in 16 bit color. It mostly noticeable when playing tron trailer. The black and grey color just look reddest. And the contrast seems set to very low. My old one, did not get this error.the color was so vivid.and the contrast was very good. The screen was so amazing, compare to mine.
I have updated by n8 with Anna and Maps 3.08, 11wk41 b02, map version 0.2.43.117. It works fine except when driving to a destination on a freeway / motorway. The roadway is a gray color that blends into the background and even though it zooms in at interchanges it is small. Thus, at 70 MPH you cannot clearly see where to turn without staring at the scene, very dangerous. This makes it unusable and unsafe for freeway driving and it must be changed. Can I go back to the old version, or do I just start using my Tom Tom GPS and dump the phone.
Does anyone know if we can change the transparent gray "bar" at the top of the screen? I want to change it to clear, because it takes over the top part of my wallpapers. It just bugs me.
I just had my screen replaced on my Torch. Since getting it back, everything appears as if it is in Reverse Contrast but i have it set on Normal. I have done a Wipe, Battery Pull and it is still this way. Currently, i have it set on Reverse Constrast so i can at least see my home screen in normal colors but all media is still in Reverse Contrast.
i only changing my charging port and it showed dis problem....i have done everytin that needs to be done on the software section---security wipe, memory wipe, downgrade and upgrade OS,deleted apps---none worked....I think its more of a hardware problem than a software problem.
As an avid business crackberry fan (and business manager) for over 3 years, I was appalled to find that I would need to slide the keyboard out to enter my security code, especially when I would do it 50-100 times per day. As every other touchscreen phone on the market has a pattern unlock method, this is the single issue preventing from purchasing this phone(s) PLEASE ISSUE AN UPDATE/APP/PATCH anything to bring this vital security & efficiency issue up to par.
I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.
i had a blackberry torch 9800 which i backed up to the blackberry desktop then it was sent away for a repair and they replaced it with anew 9800 i have tried to recover everything from the desktop but it says i need the old blackberry first?
So I have a T-Mobile SIM (SIM slot 1) and an AT&T SIM (SIM slot 2) in my 950XL. In the T-Mobile Messaging app, the text is in blue. In the AT&T Messaging app, the text in purple. I want to change the text color in each app but I haven't found a way to do so.
The main (rear facing) camera on my new Nokia Lumia 900 is inverted top to bottom in portrait and left to right in landscape. I cannot find any settings to correct this on the phone. Is this a manufacturing defect that needs the phone to be swapped out under warranty or is there a setting that I am missing to invert the camera.
I believe this also happens on similar 2011 family phones, probably all sharing the same display/screen size, but in a manner way worse: everywhere content is scrolled. I've seen this in the stock browser, in Instagram and similar apps. What happens is that if there is an image on the screen and you change the view by scrolling, the contrast of the image detoriates heavily.E.g. in Instagram, theres the image the user has uploaded and on top of the screen is the avatar of this user. If you start scrolling the screen content, the contrast of the screen changes as long as the avatar is not completely on screen. Like as long as the first pixel row of the content is completely white, the contrast is 0 and if the first pixel row is broken into dark and bright pixels, the contrast changes to -10.This is very annoying as theses are very heavy contrast changes, like complete loss of cloud texture (as taken with a very low spec phone). My active is on ICS, 4.1.B.0.431 but this issue has happened since GB 2.3.4.
I come from a GS to a GSII.The image on the screen of the GSII seems to contrasted. All the photos that on the GS are ok, on the GSII are to dark. For the icons is ok, but the pictures do not look real on the GSII.Also there's a pink area in the center of the images taken on the GSII.I've checked this in some stores, and they all look the same.Is there a way to decrease the contrast on the screen?
I had so many problems in the last days. I flashed the first INU 5.1.1 version on my G920I, after a few problems flashing TWRP. Finally I got the phone working and no major problems until last days when battery started to malfunction.
Anyway, after that I tried to flash the latest INU 5.1.1 version (G925IDVU2COGA_G925IODD2COGA_G925IDVU2COGA_HOME.ta r) but the phone couldn't start the Odin process. Then I tried another roms but nothing (all of them 5.1.1) after that I flashed the TWRP and made a stupid "factory wipe" and then my device was soft bricked.
The phone was on boot loop.. Finally, I splitted COGA rom in parts (modem.bin, cache, etc) and flashed system separated from the rest ROM. This worked but the only file that wasn't possible to load was sboot.bin cm.bin. Anyway, after that I tried to reflash COGA in one part but nothing. Finally I used the COF room (INU 5.1.1 from sammobile) and it was flashed full with no problems via Odin but now my device has the TOUCH SENSOR INVERSED. when I type in the right the letters on the left side of the keyboard are pressed.
By now I don't know what to do. Except that I am trying to flash a modded stock rom to get things fixed .
I have a problem on my xperia st15i. The problem is when I want to use the camera or the video the picture in the screen is inverted. For example when I take a picture of a person the head is the bottom part and the feet is in the upper part of the screen. I try to check the settings and I can find the camera settings.
I've got a problem with my new Galaxy S6 (G920F). Rooted - la Chainfire with Odin.
After this process the phone seem to work fine. But the x axis is inverted.
Means: If I want to go into appdrawer which is on the right buttom side I need to click at the left buttom.
I tried to change the DPI to 480 what worked fine (after the above mentioned problem). Now camera as well as my keyboard is way to small for the screen. I've already seen the problem with the camera and a black border but it didn't seem to have been fixed yet..
I used to charge my iPhone at night connected to a wall charger. Sometimes I would get an inverted yellow triangle with the message that the device di not support charging, but it would still charge. Now for some reason it gives the message and really won't charge. I have bought a dock to see if it was the wall charger but although the dock works fine when connected by usb to the laptop, I still can't charge when connected to the wall charger. It is an intermittent problem so I don't think it has anything to do with a dirty connector.
Info: iPhone 3GS, iOS 5.1.1, problem is internittent
On other BB's I've moved pictures from the device to the media card using the "move" function - I can't find this on the Torch. Am I overlooking something or will I have to use Desktop Manager?
does anyone no how to transfer all my contact from my Tour which is cdma with no sim card to my new Torch with sim card. i cant do it using blackberry desktop software.
