View 8 Replies View RelatedHow do I adjust the brightness on my X3-02? The user guide said we should adjust the brightness to save battery life, but I can't find it on my phone.
The specifications stated "Adjustable screen brightness", where is it?

View 6 Replies View RelatedOK, so I just go the Galaxy S5 and while setting it up I have tried to adjust the brightness of the notifications panel (it's so bright I can only see the color of the battery power icon). I have gone into settings and have not been able to adjust it. When I go into the Setting panel I select the Notifications panel button and all it has is a check mark for Brightness adjustment, that's it nothing else. How can I adjust this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I've just found that I have lost all the controls on my Samsung Galaxy S5 whilst playing videos in the video player.Normally whilst playing a video, a simple tap on the screen you can pause, seek, rewind, screenshot, and adjust brightness volume and play speed. These options are now all totally gone, like they never existed. I've killed the video player in running apps, and also restarted my device and the still the controls are not back,.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that the latest update has caused the auto brightness feature to really lag. It seems to take 3-5 seconds after I wake the phone for the brightness to adjust properly and at times it won't adjust at all-too dim in bright light, too bright in dim light. Before it was almost instant. Tried all the usual things, safe mode, reseting, etc.
View 10 Replies View RelatedIs there any way/app to adjust the Auto Brightness on the Droid X? The brightness that the phone picks is way too bright, so I normally turn it down/off. But when I am in direct sunlight I can not see the screen well enough to find the brightness settings to adjust them so I can use the phone.
I currently use the Android Power Control Widget to change my Brightness settings. It does a good job for me, except in the above mentioned issue. I have looked in the Android Market Place, but most applications just talk about predefined brightness settings. I found one called Custom Auto Brightness, but it does not seem to work on the Droid X.
The sony ericsson xperia mini st15i was really a pocket sized monster but pls sony put up an option to turn off the brightness auto adjusting.. everything was good and i can even say perfect just that that brightness sensor ****** me off because at places with low lighting, the screen flickers because of the brightness auto adjust...
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I get on my S6 at night when it's dark, it always seems so bright. I discovered that when I disable auto brightness I can turn the brightness down to a more comfortable level. Outside of this one use case, auto brightness works fine for me. Is this normal? Is there a way to make auto brightness go more dim when it's really dark?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow can I change the display brightness of my nokia C3-00?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs far as I can tell there is no way to adjust the screen brightness on this model (or any of the C series?).
It's a little bit annoying because in the instruction pdf it recommends that you change the brightness in order to save battery. The phone can't change brightness however. I'm using a c101.
is it possible to switch off or almost switch of the backlight when using a GPS navigation? I do not need to watch the display as I follow the voice instructions from OVI maps and I think it could increase the battery life of my phone. Is there any way to use something like profiles using different backlight levels and only switch them easily by demand?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm running stock 5.1.1, and even though my auto brightness is off my phone occasionally dims my display when it's on full brightness. It's not running particularly hot (37 degrees C according to my battery widget) so I don't know what's causing it to dim.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy S6 keeps randomly changing brightness even though auto brightness is off. And so I found this option via search within settings, which may very well be exactly what I was looking for but couldn't seem find it in the settings menu in developer option(which has already been enabled).....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just got a Torch 9800 as a gift from my wife to replace my old BB Curve 8520. I love my new BB, but there's a problem and I can't seem to fix it.The phone is always on reverse contrast...so, to actually see the screen the normal way I have to activate the reverse contrast option. But still, the videos and photos look reverse. I upgraded the OS but still, its like if the BB was configure from the start to be with reverse contrast.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just had my screen replaced on my Torch. Since getting it back, everything appears as if it is in Reverse Contrast but i have it set on Normal. I have done a Wipe, Battery Pull and it is still this way. Currently, i have it set on Reverse Constrast so i can at least see my home screen in normal colors but all media is still in Reverse Contrast.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI believe this also happens on similar 2011 family phones, probably all sharing the same display/screen size, but in a manner way worse: everywhere content is scrolled. I've seen this in the stock browser, in Instagram and similar apps. What happens is that if there is an image on the screen and you change the view by scrolling, the contrast of the image detoriates heavily.E.g. in Instagram, theres the image the user has uploaded and on top of the screen is the avatar of this user. If you start scrolling the screen content, the contrast of the screen changes as long as the avatar is not completely on screen. Like as long as the first pixel row of the content is completely white, the contrast is 0 and if the first pixel row is broken into dark and bright pixels, the contrast changes to -10.This is very annoying as theses are very heavy contrast changes, like complete loss of cloud texture (as taken with a very low spec phone). My active is on ICS, 4.1.B.0.431 but this issue has happened since GB 2.3.4.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI replaced my Torch 9800 LCD a couple days ago. The battery was dead, so when I connected it so it could charge, I saw that the charging screen was odd. It is supposed to be black and the gray battery with the yellow thingy, and it was a white background and instead of a yellow thingy, it was blue. Now all of my OS is inverted, I changed the option in the settings but nothing helped. In fact, when it is set to normal, it is inverted, and when is inverted, it is normal, I don't know what to do, this option does not affect the camera. When I use the camera it looks like negative or like an x ray.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just buy a brand new n8 today. I notice the difference in screen color tone. My nokia n8 screen color just show reddest color. And also it looks like it working in 16 bit color. It mostly noticeable when playing tron trailer. The black and grey color just look reddest. And the contrast seems set to very low. My old one, did not get this error.the color was so vivid.and the contrast was very good. The screen was so amazing, compare to mine.
View 19 Replies View RelatedI have updated by n8 with Anna and Maps 3.08, 11wk41 b02, map version 0.2.43.117. It works fine except when driving to a destination on a freeway / motorway. The roadway is a gray color that blends into the background and even though it zooms in at interchanges it is small. Thus, at 70 MPH you cannot clearly see where to turn without staring at the scene, very dangerous. This makes it unusable and unsafe for freeway driving and it must be changed. Can I go back to the old version, or do I just start using my Tom Tom GPS and dump the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith my old Xperia Z1c, when adaptive brightness is on and the environment light is darkest, the screen brightness may be adjusted to, let's say, 0. Even you drag the brightness control bar to leftmost, the dimmest brightness you can get is still 0. But in Xperia Z5, you can go dimmer than that with the control bar, and this dim cannot be achieved using the same control bar if you disable the adaptive brightness. If one component cannot do something in manual mode, should not be able to do that thing in automatic mode either. So I believe that this is a bug.
