I'm disappointed with the home screen tray options, specifically the option of being able to switch between "Home," "Favorites," "Media," etc. I much prefer the way the Curve is set up, with 5 or 6 icons on the home screen and the rest of the icons in only ONE tray. Is there any way to change those options or get rid of the extra trays altogether?
View 4 RepliesGot a new Bold today. On the BB I replaced, when I opened the homescreen, six icons appeared along the bottom. If I wanted to see all my icons I clicked the bear claw and they all showed up (so, one click). On my Bold, six icons appear along the bottom when I open it, as well, but in order to see all my icons, I now have to click the bear claw, then click "open tray," so twice the number of clicks - a small but really annoying difference. Can you tell me how I can avoid that first step and automatically open the "tray" when I click the bear claw when I am on on the homepage?
View 9 Replies View RelatedNormally the tray stays on my home screen permanently with one row of icons, and when I open the tray the rest appear. I liked this setting and found it easy to manage. However, while playing about with whether to show 1 icon etc, when the tray is closed it completely collapses now? I've changed it back to default tray setting, but it still hasn't fixed? How do I fix this, without putting it back to factory settings? (as I have a number of txt messages that I need to keep saved).

View 2 Replies View RelatedSomething changed on my Xperia Ray and I don't know what or why. For some reason, when I try to share an app from my Home Screen, the options menu that used to appear asking for how I would like to share is no longer there. It used to be that I could long click an app on my Home Screen and then drag it up to the top where it says "SHARE." Then an options menu would appear and I could select how I would like to share. Now, when I drag something over the "SHARE" area, a little dialog box appears saying "Creating Post." Then it says "Connection Error." I have tried factory reseting my phone and repairing my phone more times than I can count. I'm not sure where the problem is. I also notice, that some settings seem to stay with the phone even after a repair or factory reset. For example, I had to manually enter my APN information when I first got the phone. It is now already entered when I finish a repair. I don't know if this sharing problem is some deep setting that I can't reset or something else all together. It's a royal pain. I really liked and used this feature before and now it's gone!

Just got the Atrix (ME860, Android 2.2.2) and I really liked the main screen's 3D style display of the 5 different sections (Weather, Tools, Messages, Main screen, etc.) where I could just swipe my finger and switch between them. But for some reason this option dissapeared (maybe when I installed the gmail app?). I can't see that little middle button on the bottom of the main page where I use to press and be able to flip between those 5 screens. Is there any way to get that back? (of course without resetting the phone back to factory settings).

Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Active is barely 3 weeks old, running Android version: 2.3.4 and latest build: 4.0.2.A.0.62. My screen brightness is kept at maximum, I have never dropped this phone or abused it and rest of it's functions are running fine. Barely a week in, it seemed to have a faintly flickering screen which I thought might have just been my eyes going. This week, the flickering has been replaced by what I would describe as "breathing" - screen brightness goes from max brightness (100%) to gradual dimness (about 78% brightness) to max brightness again - without me touching anything nor am I running out of power. This happens once in a while throught the day, not constantly. Rather alarming as I am getting very attached to this little phone.
I have been checking the SE forums since the 1st week of ownership, the flickering screen problem has been reported occuring to other SE phone models, including the Mini on which the Active has been based. I have wiped all data from my phone and gave it back to the seller for their tech to figure out. My last option if unrepairable, is to ask the seller to replace the unit. what causes the screen brightness to dim then brighten by itself (despite the latest build and software).
Does anybody know when , or even if, the Style 9670 is going to be released in the UK?
