i bought a Blackberry Storm 2 9520 and unfortunately it has startup problems. So i plugged it into my computer and tried to restore it with the Blackberry Desktop Manager and unfortunately on initialsing i got a message saying "not enought output_sys_cmd_free_q", after trying to restore again i just got this message again.

My BB Pearl 8100 is dying a slow death. The trackball is starting to lock up every few days. I'm seriously considering moving over to a Storm2. Now, I have a couple of challenges and hoping I can get some guidance.
I have AT&T as my carrier (the device is mine) as part of my corporate phone plan; (my choices are AT&T and Sprint). What I'd like to do is get my hands on a Storm2, unlock it and then move that over to my AT&T plan.
When unlocking the phone will I lose any of the features? Also, is there anything I should know do regarding device activation? Would I just use the same SIM card?

View 4 Replies View Relatedwhen I set up my email I only get the option for regular email accounts to be set up and not the BES option. I have set up my gmail account and that is fine. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!
View 6 Replies View RelatedAbout 3-4 weeks ago...my screen starting acting strange. When I would hover a button (not clicking it...but to make it blue)...other buttons would become blue as well. Or the button I was hovering wouldn't turn blue and another would. When I would actually click the button...say for messages...the browser would start instead. Also...sometimes I would have the browser or gmail app open and after I clicked the BB button to bring up the menu...it would be completely frozen. It's like this periodically...but always occurs after a call...and the phone won't work for a good 1-2 minutes. This became worse and worse. So I finally did a complete reinstall of BB 5.0.0.328. Things were better for a week or so...and then it went downhill again. I haven't dropped my phone or added any new applications in months.
I have Verizon warranty...but if I go in there I have a feeling they are going to tell me that its a software issue and not hardware. I really don't know what it is...I just want the phone to work again.
I downloaded Opera Mini and it is not working properly is anyone else having this problem?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Storm2 9550 unlocked phone, which updated to the latest software version. Phone works properly except the backlight of the touch screen. Sometimes the backlight getting off without any reason( am not talking about the backlight time out). So, I can't see anything in the screen, but I can press the screen well. Mostly it happens when am going to unlock my phone's touch screen. Sometimes the backlight gets on automaticaly, otherwise, after doing a battery pull it gets on. I formatted the phone and installed softwares again, but nothing cahnge. For your information i have a screen protector on the screen.

Last week I upgraded to 5.0.0.607. Now BB Maps shows only a yellow screen with no maps. I have tried everything I could on the boards, reinstalled a couple times. Still no luck.
I have a Blackberry Storm 9530, It somehow got accidentally locked up and I had to wipe everything off to open it. Now that I've got it up and working again, when I try to reply to an email or even to send a new email, I get a this message "No message services configured. You will be redirected to the Setup Wizard to setup your email account". When I go to the Setup Wizard it asks if I want to add a new email address. I only have one email address and, when I try to reinput that one, it tells me it's already in. I can't get any further than that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the last OS update, the camera on my phone won't save pictures properly - almost every picture looks fine until you press the button, then what is saved is a color blocked mess of random junk. Every once in a while it will actually save a picture properly - maybe one out of fifteen or so. Previous attempts to contact BB support have been futile.

When I try to unlock it, it will immediatly lock back up on its own and I have to unlock it 2-3 times before it will stay unlocked. I also have the same problem when trying to lock the screen, it unlocks itself 2-3 times before it will stay locked. Has anyone else had this problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I downloaded the new OS I can no longer type, text, email properly. I use the full keyboard in both portrait and landscape view. The problem is that every time I type, the words constantly change themselves. They do not follow my command so they change. Before, If I was to type "dfsnfjns" it would stay as that. Now if I type that it will automatically change to a word that I did not want there such as "deafens", etc. In the keyboard settings, the auto correct feature is disabled. Can someone please help me fix my problem?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhile I was typing a message the phone "crashed". I could only see the tiny "egg timer" spinning...So I removed the battery and left it that way for about 5 minutes. Then I put in the battery again and the phone started booting. After that my provider logo appeared and, as usual, I was asked to enter my pin. I tried and nothing happend. The screen was not reacting at all, I could only use the keys but not the touch-pad.Therefore I removed the battery again and after another 5 minutes I put it back in. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy storm 2 just randomly decided that it was going to turn the red led on and stay on permenantly the phone itself still works fine so do all of my LED alerts say if it was charing instead of swapping between green and off it would be green then back to the red LED, i have tried wiping the device and then rebooting updated software onto it i have checked for water damage using the water damage indicator which is still white i deleted all my apps turned off all my alerts but still the red light?

I'm on O2 btw....Normally I get 2 screens - one is the "Install new software (which never works so I ignore it) then the usual screen pops up with "Removable Disk (F) etc.", which enables me to use my phone as a USB storage device, just like a memory stick.

Several times the keyboard has presented with jumbled letters and numbers, but then reverts back to QWERTY view.I am confused as to why this is happening.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got rugby tackled into a lake with my BB in my pocket a few weeks ago and the phone got wet. i took the battery out straight away and then dried the phone in a bowl of rice for a few days. when i put the battery back in the phone worked fine for about a week and then the screen started to stop working sporadically before packing up altogether. the little water damage indicator on the phone has turned red but the one on the battery hasn't. even then the red LED still came on when i put the battery in and the 4 little call, menu, back, and hang up lights came on too. about two weeks later i had the device charged in my bag when i went into an old wifi spot i used and i heard the phone recieving emails, bbms and facebook notifications so it all still worked. i was fiddling around with it the other day and i could see thep phone was trying to load up when i plugged it in although the screen was very dim as if the backlight wasnt working. after a long time (maybe and hour or so) i looked at it again and could make out that there were a list of specifications and numbers on the screen in tiny print and a small icon in the centre of the screen that said "reset" on it. i tried to click this but the touch screen wasnt working so it didnt work. i was wondering if anyone knew if theres any way of fixing the phone?

So, i wanted to get the device repaired by a certfified BB repaircenter here in Holland, but they said that they may not repair my BB because of the 'pr-code' and that i have to contact the supplier for futher info.As i mentioned, the supplier doesn't exist anymore ! How can i get this BB repaired by manufacturer warranty ? Device is a few months old.

It was in the middle of the update when the pop-up on my computer said it could not connect. I hit retry about 5 times. I then did a battery pull but the error came back.
