I have a vodafone 9520 that I want to unlock to use in Canada.It's asking me for a MEP network code.Can I re-load the OS and have it complerely unlocked?I'm using a mac and have the blackberry desktop software.

I bought an unlocked BB Storm 2 9550 from India (to be fair, it is a US Verizon BB Storm 2 9550 which has been unlocked). I used it for a week while I was in India on an Indian service provider (Airtel) and everything (email, bb messenger, browser, apps, etc) worked fine - the top right corner showed EDGE. It worked fully well in India.
Then I came to UK a few days ago and put my Vodafone UK sim in it; I sent the registeration request from the Host Routing Table menu (which was confirmed). I even registered my email on mobileemail.vodafone.net. Now the email is working fine and so is the BB Messenger. BUT I am unable to use the internet such as through the browser and the apps (facebook, bloomberg, time magazine, etc.). The top right corner says 3G (and sometimes GSM when I am on a call).I have spoken several times to the Vodafone tech staff and in the end they said that there was nothing they could do.
On the Vodafone tech staff's suggestions I have tried: deleting and reinstalling the service books (except provisioning), several battery pulls, I even tried putting back the old OS .320 (I currently have the leaked .428 version installed - in India my blackberry worked well on both versions).
Additional notes: I do not have the Vodafone Live! icon in my menu, My browser settings only show "hotspot browser" - there is no option as "internet browser" - I am guessing that will only appear when the bb internet starts working.I hope that is all the information you need.I will be very grateful if you can help me start the internet/gprs on my phone!
I have Verizon 9550 Storm 2. Before the unlocking the 3G and WiFi both have worked fine ! After the unlocking the Internet on my phone did stop work ! The WiFi connection pass fine but when I start the browser and try to open some site there is appear the message:

View 6 Replies View RelatedHas a Storm and it just shut off on. When I pull the battery, the red light comes on for a few seconds and the screen and buttons light up. Then, it starts over. 20 minutes later and it's still in that same cycle.
It's rocking Verizon's official 5.0 and she doesn't do anything to modify or hack it. I've never encountered this before.
I'm wondering if the OS became corrupt, but we're @ Red Lobster and there's nothing I can do now.
I recently had an error code, 5xx. can't remember now and Storm2 wouldn't start. Connected to DM, pulled cable in & out and was able to reload OS. Already had .607 before. Since then, 2 things are really annoying:
1. DM constantly wants to upgrade / reload to .607 during sync, but I already have it.
2. I cannot find/remember how I removed the "Accept or Decline" options to confirm sync changes. I just want it to do it without asking.
i am an user of Blackberry 9500 from the past one year and i had no problems with it lately. Yesterday while uploading pics to my PC i typed the password incorrectly more than necessary and all my memory got wiped out. The only thing which i see on my screen now is a dialog box mentioning-"RELOAD SOFTWARE: 513".

View 8 Replies View RelatedI purchased an unlocked BB Storm 2 (original Verizon USA) to use in India. It can only receive SMS on Vodafone India network. No incoming-outgoing call. It works fine on Airtel, Idea etc in India. Vodafone India blames the phone and the phone vendor (in USA) blames the network. I used another Vodafone SIM also - did not work.

But before that i have wiped my Black Berry without any 3rd Part Backup using BB Swiss Key. Now am not able to load the OS because of it. I cannot connect my BB using Desktop Manager. and my mobile has ended up with white scree saying reload Software: Error 507. Am so frustrated for being so over confident. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had my blackberry for 4 months and love it.I had an upgrade for App world which after stopped working.I found no way of deleting it or going back a version so i decided to try the desktop manager to see if i could do something through that.I had another upgrade waiting for the actual device so went a head with it and now wish i hadnt.The phone gets to a certain point on the upgrade (net-rim-cldc.cod) then stops doing anything .It has been at this point for nearly 3 hours now. I have also set up my email account from work to synch via the web exchange but not through the BES.I really want this option as I know it is the better way to be set up, we have BES set up on our work server I just need the option on my handset to do it!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have bought in December a Storm 2 from Vodafone Spain.I am very unhappy with this phone. It is absolutely impossible to use: there is no way I can write messages, emails, scroll etc. It's a pain to try and scroll through the contacts list and make a phone call. The only thing I can do is just answer calls, like with any 10 euro phone.
I had it returned to Blackberry service but they said the touch screen works perfect! If this means perfect for RIM, then ......
Also Vodafone Spain is not willing to change it for a Bold (which is more expensive!). They just said the phone is RIM's responsibility and they just sell it.
So I am stuck with a completely unusable phone and a data plan that i cannot change.
I have tried to find an email on this support forums to which I can send my complaint to RIM. It is unacceptable that they market such a low quality product, and after sales service is so bad. I am really upset about this!
So I would like to ask if anyone has any idea how can I send my complaint to RIM.
Got an unlocked 9550 (VW) activated but I am not getting emails (have BIS plan). I went to tmobile to change the device (PIN and IMEI) but tmobile says "The information you have provided is not valid for this provider."Also, I can't update the host routing table. It's blank and registering doesn't do anything. APN is set to epc.tmobile.com.
View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Storm 9500 is 18 mths old. Wasn't happy with the battery - would barely see the day out, so I bought a new one a few months ago, doesn't seem to last much longer. Current OS 5.0 I've had Meterberry on it for several months, set it to reset overnight automatically. Last weekend I installed a new theme I bought from Mobihand, Reflect7 Carbon. Average discharge rate on Sunday was a whopping 15% per hour. Put phone on charge, seemed ok on Monday. Charged Monday night and the battery completely discharged. Pulled the plug out and pulled the battery, plugged back in and it wouldn't charge at all - dead as a doornail. Put my other battery in. Used the phone to make a couple of calls during the day, also watched about an hour of a movie and still had 20% when I got home from work. Plugged in to charger last night and found it dead again this morning, battery won't charge now. That's two batteries completely dead in a couple of days! I'll have to go buy another battery today coz I don't have a phone now. Worried about killing another battery any ideas?

I did a battery pull repeatedly and charged it over night, at first the red light would blink whenever i hit the power button and now its completely unresponsive, no red light at all.
