but I can access no functions, cannot even shut it off without battery pull, and while the desktop manager recognizes the phone model and PIN, it never finishes initializing. I am desperate for the data contained within the contact records in the address book (addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, grandchildren's favorite colors, etc), and the seriously dependent data in the Password Keeper app that came on the phone.
Because I presumed this unlocked Verizon phone (which I've been running on AT&T for 2+ years) to be, for most intents and purposes, dead to me, I've replaced it with a Torch 9860, and hope to to perform the phone-to-phone function, but I can't move forward from here. I am not technically knowledgeable - really, technologically challenged
I just received a SIM-free Lumia 820 delivered from Germany.
When first switched on, it displays what I assume is a Vodaphone splash screen of some sort. This appears before the NOKIA logo (which in turn appears before the blue Windows Phone 8 splash screen).
My current phone (Lumia 800) came from Italy and the about page shows that the original carrier was WIND, but in everyday use, there is no visible consequence.
On the 820, there seems to be some kind of carrier branding embedded deep into the phone. On the 'Extras + info' page of settings, in the additional info block, it says Mobile Operator Name VOD-DE, which is presumably Vodaphone Germany.
I tried re-setting the phone completely, but this behaviour remains. Can I do anything to get rid of this pre-boot splash screen? It's not a really big deal, but this kind of stuff irritates me beyond reason.
My Blakberry Storm 9500 hang/stuck after reboot.. It didn't get pass the vodafone splash screen.. I did battery pulled many time, but still ending hanged/stuck at the vodafone splash screen.
Well I have the newest Tour firmware and everything was working fine until this morning when I did a battery pull. It goes through the boot up process but then it gets stuck at the splash screen. I removed my memory card to see if that was the issue but it wasn't. Do you think downgrading the firmware will fix this issue?
So 2 days ago I received the OTA update for 6.0. Yesterday when my battery was low the device turned off unexpectedly. When I finally had a chance to plug it in the phone went into a BOOT LOOP. After not being able to get into recovery mode because of continued resetting. I looked up several videos and posts from Nexus users with the same issue. I found the solution to be tapping the power button repeatedly till device is fixed. It sounded absurd but it worked and the phone stopped resetting and started to charge as normal. I let the phone charge for about an hour and then proceeded to turn it on.
At that point it was then stuck at the Google logo. So after about 15 minutes of waiting I decided to do a hard reset. When doing so I an encountered an error which I am unfamiliar with. I have a picture of what it tell me but can't seem post it on the forum. IT SAYS:
Supported API: 3 E: failed to mount/cache (Invalid Argument)
--Wiping Data... Formatting Data... E: failed to mount /cache (invalid argument) Formatting /cache... E: failed to mount /cache (invalid argument) E: failed to mount /cache (invalid argument) E: failed to mount /cache (invalid argument)
[code]....
After it did the wipe it got stuck at the new splash screen.
I've followed instructions in from this thread [URL] .... and flashed the supersu from the recovery without reading not to flash. Now I'm stuck at the google splash screen. How to recover from this?
The Ovi Store on my 5530 XM Games Edition just gets stuck on the splash screen and the store itself doesn't even load. How can I fix this? Also I was browsing the Nokia Store and I notice that there is a Nokia Music Headset HS-45, AD 54.....I was wondering if this fully works with the 5530 XM Games Edition because the main reason I want to get this is for music control....And also, does this headset have a mic in it?
I used to have account but haven't posted in a while and can't find the info (and won't recognize my email). I will try to give as many details as possible. I have a BB 9700 with OS6 on Rogers Canada. I wanted to add a new email, so I went into the email options and it told me I needed to install an update. I said yes. It asked me four or five times to verify something (I forget exactly what it was), but it wasn't something I thought I should be worried about. It then said it completed and asked to reboot. So, I said yes.
It rebooted and the splash screen came up. The bar loaded all of the way and then it stalled for a while. Afterwards, I got an error (I believe it was App Error, but I didn't write it down because I thought it would happen again). Now, I tried to reboot in safe mode and my phone has hung on the splash screen, loaded to 100%, for over an hour. Should I wait longer? What should be the next step? I would rather keep my data (last backup was over two weeks ago.)
Had my Nexus 5 for about a month now, and have loved it till this morning, it decided to just shut off (full battery too) and i tried to turn it on and it is now just constantly starting up to the "Google" splash screen then shutting off.
Sometimes it gets to the the 4 color circles then shuts off...
Some reason a monster energy wallpaper from zedge somehow turned into a splash screen that won't go back to stock even after Odin flash stock multiple times .It was only a wallpaper at that point now after Samsung boot then the monster energy logo then the t-mobile boot screen.Everything works fine just can't get rid of it even after multiple Odin flash to stock and factory resets
On most recent version of screwd with tk gapps and I can't get wallet to load. It hangs up on the splash screen and never moves. Have tried clearing cache and data, uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing works.
While I was typing a message the phone "crashed". I could only see the tiny "egg timer" spinning...So I removed the battery and left it that way for about 5 minutes. Then I put in the battery again and the phone started booting. After that my provider logo appeared and, as usual, I was asked to enter my pin. I tried and nothing happend. The screen was not reacting at all, I could only use the keys but not the touch-pad.Therefore I removed the battery again and after another 5 minutes I put it back in. And then the red ligth started blinking and the display only shows a battery which is crossed out in red...
When I try to turn it on a red light comes on for about 10 seconds then shuts off. A little square with a line goes around for about 5 seconds and disappears. Then this cycle starts again.
I see a lot of publicity pics of the Tour with the bridge splash screen shown, thought I'd like it for a background pic...(My splash screen is the Verizon check from the "Verizon Zen" theme).I have a custom background pic for my Tour, several actually, but was wondering how to get the bridge pic from the "Precision Zen" theme so I could use it as a background pic..Also - Is it possible to "save" and restore a loaded ROM theme??? Like, if I had the AT&T or T-Mobile "Zen" theme, could I load it into my Verizon Tour??? And if I could find a like-minded soul who wanted to swap Tour themes (Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc), how would I swap or add a branded theme?
Just to see the bug-eyed look on my VWZ store tech the next time I pull out my VWZ Tour and ask her a question.
I have a Storm 2 9550 that within the last few days began to re-boot itself at various times. I go to use my phone and notice the red light is "on" and it is rebooting itself despite having a full battery.
A few days ago I was running the VZW official .713 OS. Then, I think I installed the latest BBM. After about 12 hours of that, I started experiencing random crashes triggered by actions (not particular actions). I add a contact, it crashes. I boot back up and add again, it doesn't crash - something like that with various other actions like me locking the phone using the left lock button, or snapping a picture, etc.I didn't attribute this to BBM and so figured to hell with the official OS and installed a hybrid (Yes, I'm aware that it's not a supported OS bla bla, but it started with the official .713 so there is merit to this). And upgraded to the new BBM. Installed apps, etc. Battery was draining by 2-5% every 30-45 minutes. Crashes were happening and I wouldn't know till I had to use the phone again, at which point it starts the boot process.I uninstalled the latest BBM and downgraded to the previous stable 5.0.0.66 and it is still going on.
I'm running out of options here.I checked the event log for the time it crashed and encountered only one fatal error:Any help would be appreciated as I don't know what else to do except for installing the old BBM and no other applications. In which case, no point of the phone. I've been using the phone for the past 2 months with no problems..If someone wants me to email this to someone at RIM, that's fine too as I don't know how else to go to them.
I'm having problem with my storm phone ever since it was dropped in water. I left it to dry for a week. Since then I replaced my battery and the phone came on with the clock and then the screen showed up. and could not do anything. Then the screen went black. Now when I try to recharge it only a green light appears and nothing else. Did I kill my battery and is the phone no longer good or it's just my screen and i can replace it.
I have had my Storm since it came out. I take great care of it, only update with official revs of the BB OS. I only have a few applications. I turned it on a few days ago and got a white screen that had a JVM error 102. Called VZ tech support and they told me I had a corrupt file in the OS and asked me to unistall and reinstall. I have done this 5 times and still I have a white screen that has reset on it. Even doing a cold boot, nothing changes.
I have an icon on my home screen that I can't locate in any documentation indicating what it is.It looks like a circle with a + sign on top of it, and to the right side. (+) Does anybody know what this means?
For reasons unknown, after shutting off my phone (I suppose it was a forced shutoff, since the webpage I was viewing had frozen), my Galaxy SII now refuses to go past the splash page/start-up screen, that says "SAMSUNG GALAXY SII". The text will display for about 5 seconds, then the screen will go black for about five seconds, then it will redisplay the text for five seconds, in a never-ending loop.
The phone will charge, and if I turn it off then plug it in I get the standard picture of a charging battery. If I plug the phone in my laptop, the laptop does not recognize that it is plugged in, though the phone does charge.
I've tried getting access to the recovery menu, but I can't seem to get to it - once I push the power button, it enters the splash page loop. The only thing that will end the loop is removing the battery.
I have no idea what I've done to force it into this loop, but it's extremely inconvenient.
I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I bought on eBay. I accidently dropped my metal water bottle on the bottom half of the screen. Immediately there was a tiny crack that appears in the graphics of the screen, but nothing on the surface. Now anytime I try to get the screen to respond all that appears is that little crack. The LED is working, and I'm assuming that the phone is still functioning. I've tried pulling the battery two times now, but the screen isnt responding.
I got my EVO on Saturday morning and have found something quite annoying... twice now, my phone has gotten stuck on the boot screen and started looping. The first re-start was prompted by a software update. The second, I decided to use the battery up completely and started after charging the battery overnight. I found these instructions on how to hard reset the phone http://www.knowyourcell.com/htc/htc-...tc_evo_4g.html but would like to avoid having to do that as I've spent considerable time configuring the phone to be just as I'd like it.Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you solve the problem?
My phone a Storm has developed a problem where the screen is blank though everything is working fine and I can receive calls and emails. Shortly before this happened, the phone would not sow the words im typing and they would only show up after pressing the space button after which the phone would freeze and require a battery pull. The phone has been giving me problems for a bit so I thought this was one of the many problems but now the phone cant show anything although the backlight will be on. I thought it was a software issue (I started using the phone brand in November when it was brand new so I didnt expect this to be a hardware problem) and tried upgrading and downgrading with the same results.Looking at this forum this looks like a very common problem amongst Storm phones. Since I bought this phone off an online auction (in South Africa which means I cant 'return it to my carrier') and the Warranty type was listed as carried by the manufacturer is there a way I can return this phone to RIM for repairs sonce the phone is only 3months old and I still have some warranty?
When I connected my x6 via usb, the screen went blank and came back freezing on the boot-up screen (white screen with NOKIA in blue letters.) I couldn't switch off the phone with the power button so I removed the battery. When I switch on the phone now, it freezes on the boot-up screen and stays there. The only thing I can do is remove the battery.
So my Z2 ran out of battery last night, and this morning no matter how much it is charged it gets stuck at the telstra logo when booting? The only way to turn the device back off is to hold the power and up volume buttons.I have not flashed or modded the phone in any way.
My HTC One M7 is stuck on the boot screen and I really don't know what to do anymore. Yesterday I deleted some music and 4gb of pictures from my phone to make some space. After that I checked for updates It said an update was available regarding some bugfixes and other issues. I let it download and install. At the end of the install process, I think I saw just the normal updating screen, but with the red pyramid exclamation mark icon. After that, it rebooted just like normal, first the white HTC screen, then the startup sound, and then the white HTC One screen. Only this time it didn't go further than that. My phone is not rooted or tampered with in any way.
I know a factory reset is the easiest thing to do, but if it's possible, I'd really like to fix the problem with all my data intact. My pictures etc are all back upped, and I have the HTC backup thingy (I think), but still, there's some things like WhatsApp messages I'd really like to keep.
i have update my iphone to the last firmware but i got a big problem iphone never boot only gear screen and his not working any more i have to try to downgrade bot i have no shsh file and the iphone is just new i'm not ever use it he was work on 5.0.1 but now shsh file any ware to downgrade and i try to update every time he complate but no working i will atach image for the error
my iphone froze up while opening the phone app so i did a hard reset (held down power & home button until it shut off). when i turned the phone on again it got stuck on the boot screen. i tried plugging it in to my computer to restore it but nothing happens.
