My phone got very slow, so I wanted to reboot it to free the cache So I pressed the power button and selected shutdown Then I wanted to restart it and then BAM NOTHING Since then it doesn't react to ANYTHING
I have been using the Torch 9800 for about 1.5 yr. Recently, it started to shutdown unexpectedly, evenif battery is still at 90% or so. Here are the my current config:
The most recent Apps update was Facebook (3.1.0.17). But the issue started just before the last Facebook update. I have minimum apps downloaded (<10), and I do not download music etc. Did a SW update check and got a confirmation that the Torch SWs are all up to date (from Phone/Software Updates). Storage is about 50% filled for both buit-in & media card. Most of the shutdown happen unexpectedly. No warning or whatsoever. There were a couple of incident where there was a brief msg pops up indicating the battery power is drained.
While debugging the issue, I notice that the shutdown only happen when I was on 3G. Knowing that 3G consume more power, I suspect it could be a battery issue. But serching online, it doesn't seem necessary a battery issue. I do not want to spend $$ on a new battery and not solving the problem. The physical appearence of the batter looks perfectly good (no deformation or any sort).
For the past one week or so, after the device was shut down. I normally do a battery pull. But it didn't help at all. After leaving the battery out for a minute or so, and the long reboot, once on 3G, it will go down again within a minute or so. If I turn off the 3G immediately after boot up, and continue to use WiFI, then it will stay on. But once I turn 3G back on, it will go down again, especially when I running the browser.
I have a problem with auto shutdowns on my E90 - started a month ago. I have performed 2x soft reset. Hard reset (*#7370#), format of microSDHC, removal of microSDHC, run clean (no apps, no contacts, no bookmarks, no calendar entries - & no microSDHC) -- and still it shuts down. White screen shows, followed by Nokia Logo, then off.
Tried keeping bluetooth on this morning because someone said they tried that on their E72. This thing has gone off several times already today while searching for the a solution here. Battery maybe
I'm having battery issues, it does not last for a whole day. I was told to make a few adjustment to my bb setup one of them was to turn off Wifi when I am not using it. Now I am not sure what I have done but every time I switch off wifi the phone switches off within a 1min. I cannot turn the phone back on unless I do a battery pull and connect the phone to charge. I have a BB Bold 9900 unbrand and unlocked, OS 7.1.0.342, currently using a T-mobile sim in it.
My X10 restarts and auto shutdown by itself .. Restarts when playing games , browsing internet and sometime restart even in standby mode ... Auto Shutdown also occur sometime when doing thing above ... Even when charging , it will shutdown by itself ...
Went to Sony service center in Penang Prangin Mall , Malaysia .. but they only reintall the software ... but the problem still occur . Went to Sony service center there again and they dun`t even bother to check the hardware .. they only do hard reset .... and the problem still occur .
Now this is the third time I was sending the device to the service center and requested that they check the hardware but the service center just ** Waiting for the outcome ...
I have x10 mini and I find it either turned off or at the sim unlock screen each time I carry it inside my trouser's pocket. If it is turned off I have do hard reset ( middle button and on/off) to turn it on. Later out of luck I have discovered that if you press the screen wtih my tumb a bit harder than usual it goes off and needs hard reset. So my guess is that the pressure inside the pocket turns it off. Believe me I usually wear baggy trousers. The reason I bought this phone is I needed something small enough to fit in a pocket. Is this normal or should I take it to service?
I root Xperia Z2 6502 , then message appears telling me to update system, after updating, my mobile shutdown and can't turn on again (when pressing power button nothing happened, and the same when pressing power button with volume up or down).
My iPhone 4s has just started automatically re-starting immediatdely after completing shutdown. I have restored the iOS from my backup and done a few hard resets, but it has not corrected the problem. This iPhone has never been opened for any reason.
shut down a program directly and have the CHOICE of minimizing it to the dock. With the issue of battery running out pretty fast (even if taking meassures) I really donīt see how Apples developers were thinking here. The best (only) option I have found so far is a "hack" making the icons wiggle directly when double tapping the home button, but that clearly has some down sides to it.
Today out of nowhere my BB just shutoff. There was the blackberry loading page with no bar and then a screen that was black and dark greenish grey. Since there all it will do is blink red every few seconds. I've tried charging it, leaving the battery out, everything. Now nothing. The light isnt even flashing anymore. What happened?
this is a shot in the dark, bacically my girlfriend threw my phone against the the wall the other day as they do, ever since then it randomly turns off and i have to take the battery out and put it back in and the battery would have gone down quite abit, the battery level goes up and down which is weird.
I have my HTC sensation for little over a month now, and up until four days ago there were never any problems whatsoever aside from normal use issues. But since then I have had several occasions upon which the phone just shut down for no reason. Four days ago it was the first time, and from then on once a day. But yesterday it shut itself down for THREE times within four hours.
This is becoming quite the nuisance since i can't recall having installed anything that could cause this nor have i dropped the phone and I don't know what the problem could possibly be, I've thought it might be a battery issue or something?
the shutdowns appeared to be during the same time of day, namely from 16:00 to 21:00, never before or after this period (but maybe this will change in the future).
I've had 2 replacements of the Lumia 920. And both suffered the same problems, random shutdowns. The problem seems to only happen when I'm not using the phone. But the only way to turn the phone on is to use the volume down key and power key for 5 seconds.
i had bought sgs 2 about 3 weeks ago..it worked very nice but after 2 week it start automatically shut down at least thrice a day. i also went to samsung costumer center they format my OS and reinstall it. but does effect much now it automatically shut down twice a day what should i do is it a software or hardware problem.
I just bought my new E72, it shutdowns after 10 seconds or less , the screen just disappears, it's been now charging for 9 hours and still nothing happened, And after I plug the charger it also takes less than 10 seconds and the screen disappears too.
Is it possible to have my BlackBerry to turn off automatically but I switch it back on whenever I want? I've tried the auto on/off but it asks for the timing of which it will be back on.
Since last 4 days my BB curve 9380 shutdown frequently. In between any phone call or using any application, this problem occurs. A red light links and it gets off. override I have to restart the phone. Many times it again shutdown within minutes of restarting the same. I have then installed new operating system 7 also but still the problem persists. I am thinking to buy new one and switch to Apple or Samsung?
My device started shutting down a couple of weeks ago with no apparent trigger. At first, a simple battery pull would be followed by a successful reboot. As time passed, this was no longer sufficient and I had to do a battery pull while the device was plugged in to a power source, for full reboot.
I have recently had some problems with my BB 8900. My BB just suddenly shut down and when i tried to turn it back on it just didn't work. When I try to charge it by USB cable it looks like it charging, and when the red light goes off, the screen turns white and there is a battery with a lightning running trough it. I really do not know what to do. I tried to take out and put the battery back in, but I get the same response.
I try to shut down the phone to charge it but it keeps re-starting itself. I plug it in, power the phone down and it restarts. Same when I plug it in when it is already off. Is this normal?
