BB Bold :: After Upgrading To OS6 App World Does Not Work?
Mar 18, 2012I recently upgraded my Bold 9700 from OS 5 to 6. I managed to resolve most of the issues associated with the upgrade, but one that I'm still struggling with is the App World. When I go to My World it keeps saying that I need a Blackberry Identity upgrade. I did install it yesterday, or that's what it said yesterday, that is was installed succesfully. But now it asks the same questions agin. I had a lot of trouble to install that. At first it did not want to install at all, but I read on another thread on this forum that I should change the TCP/IP settings APN type to Internet. The error I got then was 80003. The solution seemed to work because the installation completed. but now it asks again to update the identity.

Nov 25, 2012After upgrading, I cant find the icon of my app world in my main menu. I checked the application management and yet it's still there. I tried upgrading it again, reboot, then it's still not there.I also tried deleting it in the application management, then download it again, reboot, and it still didn't work.I can't upgrade any application in my phone right now.
OS 6.0 Bundle 863.

Oct 26, 2011When I try to download or upgrade from app world or anywhere else, I see ' an error has occurred, try later'. I have about 235Mb memory space. Have tried hard rebooting, downloading during less dense network periods but in vain.

Aug 20, 2011My BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone

A while back I updated my phone. So I backed up and restored my applications so I didn't lose the few I paid for. The other day I got a notification for an update for one of the applications I downloaded after the update. That got me thinking - since none of my other apps are in the "My World" section of the App World, I haven't been - and won't be - getting any updates for those applications. Is there any way I can add those applications to "My World" so I can get notifications for updates and stuff?

Jan 2, 2011The text message icon normally disappears once I review the notification or read the text message itself. Same for any type of notification. The trouble is that sometimes the notification icon remains. I receive the notification, activate the icon but the icon remains in the notification area. Reactivating it opens a reply screen with the onscreen keboard. Hitting return does not eliminate the notification.
Cannot tell why it happens some times but it appears to only happen with text messsages. The sole solution is to reboot. A nuisance with corrupt icons. Whose problem, the carrier (Rogers) or BB ?
