I have been trying to connect my 9700 to my Macbook using bluetooth. My 9700 has been added to the list of bluetooth devices however no connection is made and there is no option to connect. I am using Mac OS 10.5 and a Wind BB Bold 9700. Any help?

I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.
I know there are separate posts on this subject on connection consistency problems but I can't seem to get an answer to a fundamental question. Is the problem hardware or software related? Since turning off WiFi improves the connection consistency significantly what does that imply? I want to return my Torch of this is a hardware issue.

Is that the fix?I did a back up and can reload the OS.When I go to restore my data, (after three times) about half way through, the BB loses connection to laptop.I get error "could not establish connection to device". BB reboots, and I still have no data.
Also, through all this, I was getting JVM Error 529.I kept pulling out the battery.
Question: Why the white screen of death? Why is my back up not restoring? Should I start over again? Is there a way to do a clean install and not install over the existing OS?
My E71 used to work fine in car hands free via bluetooth - now it pairs OK but then gives "unable to create bluetooth connection" message. Another E71 works fine.
I did try (twice) to e-mail Nokia care - each time I filled in all details only to get a Gateway timeout message when I tried to send it - and all details wiped out!
I've had problems connecting to any blue tooth aparatus. I've tried with a couple of headsets and then this week I had a problem connecting to the bluetooth in the Sonata I rented. The bluetooth will connect but almost immediately drop the bluetooth connection.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
My phone connects to the Bluetooth in my e46 M3 ('05) fine but as soon as it rings and I answer the call (pressing call button in car) the phone takes over rather than the in-car Bluetooth. It shows a dot next to the Bluetooth in-car when the call comes in on the phone.

The sync works between the two devises however it does not recognize the loads of contacts that are on my blackberry devise. I have tried all of the options on the advanced sync option to try toget outlook to download the contact from the Blackberry 9700. How do I get these two to synchronize?
View 5 Replies View Relatedafter dropping my Iphone 4 on the floor it can't connect to my PC, the error i am getting in Itunes is "Itunes was not able to establish connection to this iphone, caused by unknown error 0xE8000001". Itunes suggest to go into an applestore and get it solved but since third party has replaced the screen will apple not touch it....I have tred to uninstall itunes after closing down a few apple files via "task manager" and hard restored the Iphone but the phone will not acctivate, only get to the screen saying "connect to itunes". when i plug in a fully functional USB cable in a fully functional USB plug in my PC (windows 7, 64bit) does the phone connect and disconnect with the PC a few times, sometimes it keep on connecting/disconnecting but when the phone able to establish connection do i get a box saying "error 0xE8000001" and when clicking on the phone can i see its charging the battery but no possibilities to make a firmware restore or anything els. (have only the option to "eject" the iphone). is it possible to go one more step back than "hard restore" so the phone need to reinstall all hardware ect ect?

I think that the problem is with phone, because when I paired devices all things work well, but when I turn off the car (Parrot is switched off) and go away, other phones that I previously used disabled connection and can be used normally. But with this phone I see that for the phone connection still present (?!?) The car symbol on display still shown, and when I try to use the phone, I can make call, other people say that they receive calling , but I can't hear them, and they can't hear me. When I manually disconnect Bluetooth device, phone work normally, but when I am in the car again, two devices doesn't initiate pairing, and again I have to do this manually.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgrade the software on my BOLD 9700 bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546, Platform 6.6.0207). Since the upgrade my handset will not connect to my Ford Mondeo car kit. I've deleted the pairing on both handset and car kit a number of times - it works the first time I get in the car but after this I just get an error message "connection failed". The car kit works fine with other members of our family mobile phones - toggling between handset and connecting everytime. I've even tried deleting the other phones from the car kit - still it will not connect. I've even rebooted the car system just in case there was a problem with the carkit.The only way I can get the handset to connect is by switching my phone off and turning it back on once the engine is running. it worked fine prior to the upgrade...
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy BB 9700 cnnected fine with my handsfree carkit when I used OS5. After going to OS6 the connection with my carkit always gave troubles. I've experienced that after a reload of the OS (battery out and in again) the conection works fine one time. After disconnection it will not work again, only after reload of OS (battery out and in) it works again for one time. This must be a bug in OS6.

I have a new Nokia X6 and can not connect it via Bluetooth to any of my PCs, the previous Nokia 6300 did with no flaws whatsoever, this X6 is by far a better phone but can not even be detected by a PC.......Am I missing something ? (see attached for error message)

Then ovi suite simply won't continue recognizing my x6. I do see my laptop been paired in my X6, but ovi-suite simply won't continue to next step. After a while of "searching" ovi suite simply shows an error and the process continues. So how do I connect x6 to my PC with bluetooth?

I can do "Connect to Internet" (from the tools menu) when the phone is linked via the USB cable. When it's on the Bluetooth, the option "Connect to Internet" is greyed out and not available.
Even if I go Tools -> Options, when I click "Connect to Internet" to configure something, PC Suite shows "You must connect your device to be able to change settings".
Bluetooth issues with the N97?
When I first took delivery of the N97 I had issues connecting it with the Audi BT Telephone interface. It took many attempts to get them paired. When the pairing was finally established, the N97 contacts were not uploaded to the Audi system. With previous phones (this had not been a problem with previous phones such as the 6500). The connection was also flaky - it would automatically connect for approx. 4/5 times at which point the automatic connection simply refused to work and it was necessary to delete the pairing and start all over!
I have recently upgraded the software in the N97 to v 20.0.019 (the latest available). There is no doubt this has resolved the non-uploading of the phone book - this now works well with the Audi and indeed works every time - that is if only I could get the phone to connect!
v20.0.019 may have fixed the uploading of contact information to the Audi BT phone system but it has made significantly worse the problem of automatic connection. Now, once paired, automatic connection is made just 1 or 2 times after which it is simply mot possible to re-establish connection. The ONLY way to fix this is to reload v20.0.019 to the N97. Once re-loaded, the connection is made and the contact information uploaded. GREAT! For a couple of times - then I have to repeat the whole process.
Incidentally, the Audi systems has no problem at all with the 6500, a Blackberry or the iPhone - it is ONLY the N97. The N97 BT connection to Nokia PC suite displays similar issues.
I use the phone with a MAC via Bluetooth and on my work with a Windows XP and PC Suite connected to Outlook 2007. It synchronizes wel,l everything comes in via the XP. But only once a day? A second sync says phone is not idle. Even if I force it. Strange enough the phone is always connected via Bluetooth and if I get a call I can see it on my XP. So bluetooth connection works well. But whatever I try I can only sync once.On the MAC it always works so it's not the phone I think.For the rest I have no issues with the E72 at all. Only GPS without data connection doesn't work. I have seen other remarks on this so I guess can't use it without a data subscription.

View 11 Replies View RelatedMy phone will automatically prompt to confirm the request for Bluetooth connection from the CK-7w when I turn the car ignition. When I accept the prompt it would connect. For reasons unknown when I try now it emits two beeps from the car kit and does not connect. No messages etc. I only noticed that when the prompt appears the blue tooth symbol on the phone has two ellipses around it. When I push the phone button to accept the connection a light appears to flash where the confirmation symbol normally appears and then 2 beeps and ellipses disappear from blue tooth symbol on the phone. I updated to the latest firmware on about 6 March 2012 to resolve drop outs etc.

the log on the RIM site said it was a known issue and had been escalated internally.
