BB Desktop Software :: MS Outlook Not Listed Under Contacts SetUp Menu?
Jul 16, 2010
under the Intellisync Select Device Menu and specifically under the AddressBook SetUpe Menu I only get <none>, Microsoft Outlook Express, ASCII converter and Yahoo. Why can't I get MS Outlook? Same thing under the Calendar SetUp Menu and the MemoPad.
I have an 8350 nextel, outlook office 07 and desktop software version 6.0.1.18. I recently changes jobs and put my new information into my phone and I am now working from home so I have never needed this before. my email is sending and receiving no problem, my calendar is syncing perfectly but my contacts will not sync. the sync process seems to work from the software (it goes thru the motions) but when I look in outlook, no contactsI have looked around the net for possible solution and even tried most of the things I've seen...to no avail. I just want to get the contacts off my phone and into my outlook.
I've recently noticed a problem with the Desktop Manager when trying to sync Outlook contacts that are assigned to multiple categories.
1. I have setup a filter to only synchronize contacts where the category equals Personal or Business. 2. The rules is set to "one of more conditions must be met" 3. In Outlook I have some contacts that are assigned to multiple categories, for example Personal and Family 4. These contacts are not being sync'd to my device
I have the current version Facebook app on my iPhone 4 and after updating the iOS to version 5.1 I can no longer upload pics to Facebook. I've read that this is usually caused by Facebook location services being turned off. After checking the Settings > Location Services menu I noticed Facebook isn't even on the list. I've tried deleting the Facebook app and reloading it from the app store and I also rebooted my iPhone but Facebook still isn't in the Location Services menu?
I am sure that this information is probably posted somewhere in these forums, but Ive tried 5-6 different searches and cant find what I need to know, so thought I'd try a post. I only want to transfer a portion of the contacts in my Outlook 2007 address book over to my BB, and keep those contacts through each synchronization (dont want to synchronize and have them all show up).
Just having some problems uninstalling apps. I tried going through the aplication list on the phone and deleting from there, and even through desktop manager. Problem is, desktop manager doesn't list all the apps, and when tried it from there (ie; Beweather so I can get the upgrade), it just archives it!! How do I get rid of the archive....as fr as I know, the archive still takes up space in memory, and when I tried installing new versions of the software (ie; Beweather), it just loads the old version!! Geese this is annoying!! I would hate to wipe my phone and start from scratch again adjusting everything to how I like it.
I have a person who when I make the connection between their BB Desktop Manager and their Outlook Profile all of a sudden outlook sends all incoming email to the Junk E-mail folder.Another behavior is that if I add the sender to the Safe Sender List, the next email from that person will show up in both the outlook Inbox and the Junk-Email folder.Any help would be great as I think I have everything setup correctly. If I break just the email outlook profile connection the problem goes away. AKA, Outlook doesn't put emails into the junk folder that shouldn't go there.
I am using a Blackberry Torch and have the newest version of the Desktop Software (v6).When I try to setup my synchronization it gives me options for ASCII and Yahoo but not Outlook. What can I do? I have installed the software on several other laptops with their Blackberry Bold (both 9000 and 9700) and this hasnt been an issue.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but with no new luck.
I was told by a tele help agent at AT&T that Blackberry Desktop sync software was not able to be used if you are using Windows 7. I find this hard to believe but would really like to quit wasting time finding an answer if Blackberry does not support the new OS.I am also using Outlook 2010 with Windows 7 Premium and cannot get the Blackberry Desktop to sync with Outlook 2010 during set-up.I can't believe Blackberry didn't know a new Outlook was coming out and syncing would be one of those key tasks.
I have an iphone 4 which is completely updated but daily i have an issue of it deleting some of my contacts from the contacts list. Why is this happening with some of the contacts?
When I try to call a landline number listed in my contacts it jumps to my email account. Does anyone know why it does this. It only happens with landline numbers and not mobile numbers...
When I try to sync with Outlook 2003 I get the error 'folder is no longer part of the system data source or the folder could not be found' I have spent the morning updating the BB desktop software which took hours even though the phone is straight out of the box, 250mb worth. The email sync tick box is also greyed out but the wireless sync work a dream no probs at all but I would like to get my contacts on there along with email folders and such.
I checked my settings on my desktop manager and opened my ipd file-nothing for my contacts or calendar. What did I do wrong? Is there any chance on earth I get any contacts back? Here are my settings:
Back up all application data
Back up on board device memory
When I did the automatic backup it was saved to my docs.I don't have outlook or anything.
I have upgraded my Bold 9790 OS7.0 to OS 7.1 recently. What I noticed was that since then, I cant set up any new email or modify any of the existing ones. Whenever I get to the setup Internet Mail Account menu, it just would not respond or go any further. Only Enterprise Account menu would response which I am not interested in.
I am adding 150 Blackberry users that do not have a desktop computers. They will only send a receive email with their Blackberry 8520 phones. Since I cannot import contact with Outlook Web Access, how can I import contacts with Blackberry Web Desktop Manager? I need to add 300 company contacts to each phone.
Exchange server 2003 is running from an corporate office. We have all of our sites running in cached mode which only uses .ost files (no .pst). Synchroinsation with outlook 2003 OST-File should only be done locally via USB to the local outlook 2003 cllient. Actually synchronisation with an BB 8900 does not work. What must be done to get the BB desktop software 5.0.1.28 or later sync with an local outlook.ost file ?
I have recently done a device switch to my new BB and two email accounts were part of the switch transfer.
One works fine, however my gmail acount has not been receiving messages. When I go into setup email I constantly get 'Cannot connect to server' and then it exits back to the setup menu. This means I cannot edit any email profile I have. Removing the battery and restarting has no effect.
Any way to delete the offending email account and re-add or getting it working.

Anyway to add more than the standard 6 icons on the home page/desktop with the Curve 8520?It's a right pain to press the button and 6 icons aren't enough (I don't like leaving apps open).
i have Blackberry 8520, and using blackberry desktop ver 5 installed on windows 7 pro and outlook 2010. when i choose syncronization from configuration menu i recieve "No Available message stores".
I have tried a number of times to setup synchronization for OL 2002 in DM 6. The initial installation over DM 5 gave me the "Determining the root configuration name for the main system . . ." when I tried configure synchronization, and at the end only contacts and notes were checked to be sync'd. I tried to manually set up synchronization for Calendar and Tasks, but every time a I click "finish" in the setup the check mark would disappear from the box for that item.
I have installed all DM's, reinstalled DM 6, did an update from DM 5 to 6 using check for upgrades in DM 5.I have to stick with DM 5, because that's the only way I can sync.Given the numerous problems with sync OL with DM 6, I would think there is at least some official feedback acknowledging the issues and that a solution is being worked on.
I have the desktop software open and it recognizes my blackberry. However when I click the arrows for synch btwn outlook and the blackberry it pops up an error box with no message. When I click to the next screen it won't let me select an outlook profile. The Drop down box is empty.
I have a user using a BlackBerry 9850, his email is setup using a pop account on his Outlook 2010 and on his BlackBerry. He ended up trying to synch to his Outlook 2010 so he can get all his contacts onto his phone but managed to lose all contacts. I will be stopping by to help him. What is needed to ONLY synch properly?
When I try to setup the Blackberry desktop to sync with Outlook calendar, the process works fine and it says I did it, but when I hit "finish," it acts as if I haven't done it yet and asks me to do the setup. Backup is working fine. This started when I upgraded a while ago. I just upgraded to version 6.6.6.43
I own a BB Curve 8520. Before having setup the BIS, I could synchronize all my Outlook stuff with the device (contacts, tasks, calendar, ...) via USB as well as Bluetooth. Since I have setup BIS, I can still synchronize my contacts with Outlook, but even when I configure the Calendar to be synched as well, nothing happens. No errors are shown in the log. Seems that the calendar sync is just skipped. Does anyone have an idea what could have gone wrong? I also already tried a soft reset of the device.
