Nov 6, 2011i recently bought my first Blackberry phone the other day and whilst still going through the process of setting it up, i am trying to get BB internet service onto my phone. I have so much gone as far as following instructions from somewhere to go in to advanced options, into "host routing table" and selecting "register now"... which does nothing. May i have alittle help in setting this internet up, as so far it only works thorugh connecting to my home wifi network.

Nov 14, 2011I have a wireless network at my work (that is functional and works for my laptop) that I cannot figure out how to connect to with my Blackberry Curve 9300 OS 6.I can find the network, and when it prompts for the password and I enter it, everything appears as though it should work.The WiFi box is checked in "Manage connections" and on my home screen, at the top, above the time, it shows my provider's name and the WiFi network I'm connected to (Koodo - Arnason Lab <--- network name).When I try to use my browser though, I get the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later.If the problem persists please contact your service provider." I called Koodo and they told me that this sounds like a device problem and that contacting BlackBerry would be my best bet. Is my browser set up to work via WiFi? Or is there something I'm missing about connecting to a WiFi connection?

May 11, 2010I have the Curve 8520.I am a unique case of this, because with T-Mobile there is a way you can have a Blackberry without the data plan, so when I am trying to connect to the internet, it is ONLY through wi-fi.
On the home screen, the Wi-Fi Logo is lit up white, and it says the name of my network. However, when I try to access any webpage, the message comes up:"Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact your service provider."It HAS worked before.

Sep 12, 2011i recently downloaded an app and today i deleted it, it then rebooted. when it restarted it came up on the screen " uncaught exception: application net_ rim_bb_ messaging_app(60) is not responding; process terminated " and give me the option to press ok but wont do anything . the screen has frozen and i have emails and messages and it wont let me into them. There is also a new envolope box in between the where you recieve your emails and messages and it has a yellow envolope at the bottom of that. i've tried taken out the battery and restarting it but it does the same thing. it will let me in to everything but the things i need internet for as well

Nov 12, 2011i am using curve 9300 3G, I am unable to use Internet on my device. I am able to use my enterprise mails, personal mails, BBM, and other applications available in my handset. It is just that Internet does not work.. My OS is version 6 .another colleague of mine who is using OS version 5 had a similar problem but it got resolved after he changed browser settings in Advanced Options- browser- Default Browser configuration- changed from Blackberry browser to Internet Browser - after that again browser options and select all ( support Java script, allow java script pop ups, terminate slow running scripts, show images, use background images, support embedded media) after that Cache options, clear all ( content cache, pushed content, cookie chache) . There after he went to host routing table and register .. Post which after hard boot he was able to access Internet.My problem is my OS version is 6 and I do not have advanced options tab in my handset and hence I am unable to change settings.

Mar 13, 2011I got new curve 9300 3G with unlimited data plan,meaning I can connect to the Internet, push mails, RSS feeds, etc. It was working fine for several days but lately I could not connect to the Internet, could not get emails; virtually any data connection! I decided to replace SIM card since if Iīm using my friendīs card it was working. Initially with the new card (with data plan) I was able to connect to the Internet but after a while (couples of minutes) I could not connect and all data connections were just off (AppWorld was also off). Strangely, the 3G signal is good on the screen! I have tried to re-register the HRT and pulled out the battery also refreshing the network but still didnīt work.
I installed some apps prior to this problems, but I do not think it was the cause, except that I upgraded Facebook app then the Facebook icon disappeared.

Jul 10, 2012I have an 8900 Curve, and have been using Wifi to connect to the internet, in my home and everywhere else I go. I'm in Mexico using Telcel. You don't need a plan just to connect to the internet, that's what WiFi is for. It just stopped connecting the other day for some reason. The wifi icon does not appear at the top. I have the browser set to HotSpot, it's the only option actually, I set the TCP/IP APN to the Mexican settings (you can do that here: http://www.blackberrytune.com/blackberry-tcp-ip-apn-settings/), but still nothing!WTF is wrong with this POS!

I have a Nextel 8350i on boost. This morning, I reinstalled the combined3 service books, and now no internet, or app that accesses internet will work. I get the unable to connect message when I try to connect using my data plan and when I try to connect on wifi as well. I am able to place and receive calls, i can use direct connect, and i can send and receive texts as well, its just the internet is not working with data or wifi. Oct 31, 2011I have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.

The odd thing is if i use the Media Net (AT&T browser)....i can connect to the internet. Is there a way to "re-install" the black berry browser? Also my Facebook app give me a "can not connect error" as well
