View 5 Repliesafter having to do a total wipe, my media card has now been encrypted. It only seems to affect music and other media file storage, that sort of thing.so whenever I try to sync anything, I cant access it, and I get this message."A media card has been inserted that contains encrypted files. Please enter the device password that was used to protect these files: "The problem is; the password I was using before it was wiped must've been, well, wiped...it doesn't recognize any password I used previously as valid...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently installed OS 5.0.0.442 which was posted on the very first thread of the forum. I haven't had any issues with it until recently.
When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........
How can I reset my Blackberry ID password if I forgot the answer to my password reset question?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy daughter tried to upgrade her BBM last night. When she tried to log back in using her Blackberry ID, she was unsure of the password, tried and failed to answer the security question, so we have tried to reset her Blackberry ID password online. When we go through the steps to reset her password via an email, no password email is received. I am checking the email on a PC (not the Blackberry) and have checked the junk email folder, but no reset email is received.

I clicked the "forgot password" link, entered my secret question correctly.I followed the link to reset my password that was emailed to me.I then got a generic error saying there was a problem processing your request after trying to give it a new password. It didn't say that my new password was too short, or the confirmation didn't match or that my secret question was wrong. All it gave me was an error.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a BB curve 3g(9300). I used to connect my BB to my PC with the USB data cable. I would than simply drag songs from my computer into music folder. I have not used the Blackberry media manager software. The songs used to work perfectly and gave me no troubles. However today i wanted to add some more songs so I did the same thing. When I disconnected my BB from the computer I found that there was no music nor were there any pictures that I had clicked earlier. I connected my BB to my computer via data cable. I found that all the music and pictures were there in their respective folders. Please note I dont have a media manager software and I directly open the Blackberry folder when I connect my BB to PC. So the nature of the problem is that when connected to my PC, I can see all the music and pictures on my PC but however when I disconnect my BB I cannot see any pictures or music. After fidgeting with my BB, I found that after i go to "media" than "explore" than "media card" than "show hidden files" there are hidden copies of the following folders - Black berry, files, fonts Recycler and start.app.These copies appear first and then there is a line separating them from rest of the list of icon. Under "Blackberry" copy in the "music" folder all my music is there. under pictures all my pictures are present. When I click at the non hidden "blackberry icon I get a message Unable to display/media card/blackberry.exe?
View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday i was running out of charge and didn't have the charger - a colleague had a charger cable connected to his PC, so i charged my phone through this cable.Next thing i know - i open the pictures folder and i only see the pictures stored on the device - which were taken ages ago. All pictures, videos and voice notes that were on the media card are gone.I took a picture just to see where it gets saved - it mentioned "saved on media card". I open the picture folder and it's not there.
I tried the trick of choosing "view pictures" through the camera - nothing. went to Options - memory - and the media card IS recognized, and says "total size 900 MB, Free space 700 MB).Now something weird happened - i went to the pictures folder and "created a new folder". It got created on the media card and now it shows. And thus, any picture i take and i save on THIS folder - it appears in the "all pictures" folder normally.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 4GB media card and nothing will save on it at all. I can't take videos or pictures anymore as it keeps saying 'File not Found' and I can't download music on it anymore. This problem has been going on for some time now, I can't remember when it started to happen exactly, but it is really annoying as media was one of the main things I used my phone for.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI received an email on my phone stating that my Blackberry ID account was locked due to too many failed attempts. These were not attempts that I made. It gave me the link to reset my password. When I enter my blackberry email address and the captcha I receive the following notice:
To receive your password reset email at a different email address, you must temporarily forward your email before you click the Submit button.
Following that link (and a few more) it instructs me to go into email setup on my phone and enable forwarding of my mail. I do that and click save and I get the message that my secret question can not remain blank. I do know the answer for the question. When I enter that and save it asks me to enter my password. I can't do that as the password needs to be reset. How to I get through that last step. I know what my password was but it isn't working.
I am presently locked out accessing applications where a blackberry ID is required. I have used the links to reset the password and received a message to say that an e-mail has been sent to my blackberry e-mail address though for security it will not be sent to my phone. I don't know how I can retrieve that e-mail. I just wish to reset my ID password?
