I have a brand new Curve 9300 on Orange. For some reason, my own name appears 6 times in my Contacts list. However, I cannot 'open' my name to view or edit or delete the 6 entries.

The last time I synced with Outlook, a lot of the same contacts came up multiple times -- around 50+ times each. Seems the only way to delete them is individually. I would like to know the following: 1) is there a way to do multiple deletes and 2) what made this happen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated my 5800 to the long-awaited v40 firmware and so far it's great, but I've got one serious issue with it. In the previous firmware, the contacts on the homescreen used the default number when I pressed the telephone icon, but now in the new firmware when I select a homescreen contact and press the call icon, a popup appears asking me which number I'd like to call. This is slightly strange, seeing as the same contact selected from the Contacts Book correctly uses the default number without asking. I have tried removing the default number settings and setting it again, and also removing contacts from the homescreen and adding them again, but neither worked. It's pretty annoying, because having certain contacts on the homescreen is meant, at least in my opionion, to speed things up, like speed dial, but now it requires an additional click before the call is made... So, anybody know how to make the HS contacts use default numbers?

The only thing it does is flash the red LED indicator once and then 4 quick consecutive times. In searching the forum, suggestions say to run apploader. However, I get stuck because my device can never be recognized by my computer!I was installing a factory update over the air. I cancelled the download because I thought doing it over Desktop Manager would be much faster. I connected the device via USB (for the first time ever). Drivers were recognized and were being installed. After a while, nothing happened with the device OR the computer. Now I have a brick of a phone that only blinks the LED at me. The device cannot be detected by my computer when I run apploader directly or through Desktop Manager. Yes, I have also tried fiddling with the Connection Options in DM.
View 12 Replies View RelatedOkay, I recently got a replacement blackberry and used the device switch wizard to switch from my old Blackberry 8520 to my new Blackberry 8520. At first, I had a few problems with the Twitter and Facebook apps, but thanks to rcnathan, that's under control.
But now there's a new problem: email. Neither of my email addresses work (@*.blackberry.net or my personal email) and anytime I try to send something, a red X immediately appears next to it.
My Stats: Blackberry Curve 8310 on AT&T NO Data Plan I have done my research and after about a week of searching I have not been able to come up with an answer Before I knew that my 8310 was not able to get WIFI I deleted my TCP Settings.I re entered my TCP Settings with:
APN: WAP.CINGULAR
Username: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
After these settings have been restored I am still unable to send and receive a picture message. Things that I have tried: Battery Pull Uppercase and Lowercase entry for my TCP Settings I considered doing a factory reset but I don't want to lose my brickbreaker high score
In email settings appears next to an address: Invalid account check.The password and username are correct and the account is existing, how come I can not validate with the Blackberry Curve 8520?The operator is sitomobilevodafone from vodafone but I can not verify the account, I have to do with the device?

This is the second one I have that is doing the same thing. Sprint first told me that I needed to clear the log file using Alt LGLG and deleting the file. Next I was told to update the OS which I did. Lastly, they told me to clear the emails I receive and that should fix the problem. Now with my second phone it is doing all of the same thing.

This started just a few days ago. Sometimes an email will arrive just twice but sometimes up to SEVEN times each separated by three to six minutes. Picking up emails with my outlook client there is only ever one email.
I deleted my email from the Blackberry and recreated it - but with no success. It does not affect all emails either. Two emails arrived overnight - one is duplicated, one is not.
my BB just went dead two days ago (have it since 20 months). The red light is blinking four times then pause, and then again four times... on and on... I tried to take the battery out, to charge it, USB, but nothing seems to work.

I didn't do anything to it but before the speaker would fuzz in and out of call and then it started doing that permanently. Afterwards my phone just started to lock and unlock several times before it ultimately locked me out even after I tried to press the unlock button. I tried pulling out the battery several times and it alleviates the symptoms for about 3 minutes and it goes right back to locking and unlocking again.
I just bought my new Curve 8530 from Sprint a couple weeks ago, it's a great phone and I love it! ( like all of my past blackberries ). There is just one issue that is bothering me, the E key can be unresponsive at times. For example if i hit it with my right thumb, it usually wont key in, but it always will with my left thumb. It's not a HUGE deal, but it is just a little bothersome.

I also keep getting the same few emails multiple times- like 12 times, each with a half hour in between. I thought this was a security issue with my email account so I changed my password, but no such luck. I attempted to find a way to contact Gmail and Blackberry directly, thinking it might be a problem on their ends, but I failed at finding a way to communicate with a Gmail or a Blackberry rep directly.

I use my BB to watch movies and listen songs. I guess on an avg of 3hrs a day. Also I use it to browse a little, say 2 hrs a day.
