BB Curve :: New Icons Comiing Up?
May 3, 2011I have some new icons coming up . One is a circle with a t in the middle with half circles and its under my wifi symbol.. and the other is 1XEV thats new to I have never seen it.

BB Curve 8300 :: 8330m Remove Icons / Icons Not Hidden
Jan 11, 2010I'm a new BB 8330m user (carrier is Sprint).I have an icon for Pocket Express (which came with the phone) on my screen that I can't remove. I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. The icon looks as though it is transparent.

May 20, 2010This is not the same post as the other "hiding icons." I checked. What I was wondering was; is there a way to hide the 8 icons I have showing at the bottom of my screen, until I touch the screen? The idea is when my phone isn't in use I would like the icons to go away. Sort of like a screen saver. It's a BB Storm 2, 9550.

Jun 20, 2010My wife's 8330 BB Curve is missing the icons. I have tried to follow directions given but NOTHING happens when I go back to home screen and hit O (options) not the 0 (zero) so what now. She can make calls, get to message from green call button but thats a PAIN as u know!

Jan 23, 2012Three of the icons seem to not be functioning. Click on anything but Messages, Text Messages and Desktop and they open up. Click on any of those three mentioned above, and nothing. Actually, the device seems to lock up - keyboard locks and so does the trackpad. The only way out is to hit the end/power key, and then you have full function of the device. I've even tried holding down any one of the keys mentioned until the pop up menu comes up, and then attempt "launch," and the same thing occurs. The only way in to a message (for example) is to go to the Notification Bar, click it, then click the specific message. I did this, then tried to come in the "side door" by hitting the Menu Key, then scrolling to View Folder, then to Inbox (for example) and as fast as you can click, it dumps you back out.

Aug 12, 2010One fateful morning I awoke to a message asking if I wanted to update my phone with new (stuff of some kind) it said If I did not want the update or did not understand the message to select NO. Not understanding the offer I selected NO and watched as the screen went through a series of deleting this, deleting that, deleting something else messages, until everything was gone. No screens, no icons, no nothing.
Since then I had 6 hours of on line help downloading and installing software there was progress restoring the icons except for one. The on line helper said after we were through I should take out the battery and put it back in for full restoration. However after taking out the battery I lost all the icons again.
BB Curve 8300 :: No Email Icons
Feb 6, 2010BB 8330. Have two mail accounts (Google and Yahoo), with different ringtones. Somehow the tone for one would ring for the other. Pulled battery and redid the ringtone. No luck. Deleted the mail from the phone and then reinstalled them, now I have no mail icons.

Dec 5, 2012I recently bought a curve 9300. Last night I deleted some apps from the device(yahoo messenger, gtalk etc) in order to have more memory on my device. However after rebooting all the media icons like pictures videos became a black folder with a question mark along with the original icons and all my icons from the media dock were removed> now my media dock is empty and I cant find a way to put those icons back on> also I have a copy of all the media icons like pictures videos etc twice.

Oct 4, 2010Back story: I set up my hotmail account in my e-mail application and was never getting any e-mails. A friend of mine told me to try using my gmail account instead, so i added my gmail account to the mail app and deleted my hotmail account. i thought everything was going fine when it said that a new icon would appear on my home screen for this mail account. i waited until the little clock/processing thing was finished and pressed 'ok'. when i went to my home screen, no icon...here are the things i have tried so far:- taking my battery out to restart my phone- resetting my theme, resetting my icons in my theme- googling it; all they are telling me to do is to press 'alt+scroll' and select show icons (when i do this the scrolling voids the alt, and also they keep saying the alt key is a crescent moon which it is not for me)- went to my phone service provider and the girl there said she has had this problem before and would call the girl that helped her, and when i came back she said there was some way to 'show/hide icons but it was impossible to troubleshoot over the phone' aka she was absolutely useless.

Jul 18, 2010So by mistake I deleted some folder On my Blackberry Curve 8330 and now I have NO icons on my phone at all. I can't use my left "quick access" key but when I type in a contact name everyone is there. Also my camera seems to work. Tho there are NO icons at all, none... I totally broke it!?
The best part I don't have the software at all. I have no idea where the CD is now. There is no back up, I never backed my phone up.
I think all my info is there, but there are just no icons to click on.

Sep 29, 2012the BB 9360 of my friend fell and the screen broke. It was fixed in 24h and an complete clean up was also made on the phone. Now I've got one ... it's close to the top, to the right on where of where the symbols show you have messages and/or voicemails. This one looks like a smiley face with a star over the left eye. There's a number 1 next to it. Help please.

Nov 11, 2012this morning I took my phone off charge and it crashed like I'd taken the battery out but I hadn't.It got stuck on the O2 loading page and wouldn't turn on so took the battery out and it did the same thing getting stuck on the O2 screen. I found that if you turned it off and on with the power off button it would turn on.After it turned back on lots of the icons were missing, BBM, Browser, Facebook, Emails, Profiles icon (for changing from vibrate to silent etc) and other things that I can't remember just know there's more than that missing as the folders and menu are very empty.I can now get to BBM and the browser using the switch applications menu and they work fine so the applications don't need reinstalling the icons have just disappeared.
I've looked for them in the folders and checked the 'show all option' and changed the theme back to the original and still nothing. Also done lots of restars taking battery out and waiting etc. I haven't upgraded anything recently so can't have been that changing any settings.Also I don't have the cable to attach phone to the computer to back it up and reset to factory settings
Really hoping there's a different way as the applications are there and work fine just need to find the icons?
BB Curve :: No Icons On Main Screen Of My 8320
Mar 14, 2011I think I accidentially deleted something & then suddenly all of my Icons on the main screen dissappeared. And all I get is a blank yellow circle that I can move across the bottom of the Screen. Also after the accidential deletion, I intermittently got "Error 523" with "Reboot" or something like that. On the secondary screen where it would normally display all Icons, I only get a blank screen (just showing my background) with no icons. It does however show stuff like the battery symbol, notifications, wifi symbol, etc.
I reinstalled the most recent firmware that I could reinstall.It restored the Icons on the secondary screen but none on the first screen and still only get a blank yellow circle that I can move back and forth across the screen. & I also lost the ability to "move" Icons. Even tried "Alt+BB button" & not able to move Icons,I took out the battery, Sim card & memory card & then reinserted them. Still no Icons on the first screen & on the second screen where all the Icons would show is now blank again.Anyone know how I can restore the Icons to the first Screen? How I can get the move function back & get all my Icons to not dissappear off the second screen?
BB Curve :: Notification Icons On Top Of The Home Page?
Mar 21, 2011I have 2 blackberry curve 8520 phones. Usually when there are new notifications on facebook or when I have a new email it is displayed on top of the home screen. On the one phone, I have a notification for facebook which I have already checked out, but the notification won't go away. On the other phone, there is an icon that looks a lot like the "earth" on the email icon. I have searched all over this phone - email messages, BBM messages and updates etc.
