View 1 RepliesI am having a problem downloading at blackberry site due to content protection. It says that I should first disable the content protection so that I could download from the site.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have followed the steps to disable the content protection. But, I still cannot download any apps from the web to the phone. I get the same ol' message that I have to disable the content protection!
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe content protect prevents me from seeing some BBm msgs, and emal addresses and its quite annoying.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm seeing a strange issue with all of our Verizon 9650's (Bold) that are members of our BES. A user receives an SMS message while the device is locked. The user then unlocks the device and <content protection is enabled> is displayed instead of the actual text of the SMS message. If the user closes the SMS and then relaunches it the message is displayed properly. Has anyone else seen this issue? Sounds almost like a software bug...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to synchronize my blackbery with app world but everytime I go to step two. As we know the first one is to get the Blackberry browser plug-in, the second one is to Connect your smartphone and the last one is to update your software. The problem I have is with connecting my smartphone. I sellect my pin, click on Connect and a couple of seconds after that, I get this message:"An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Web plugin. restart your device and try again. If you have content protection enabled on your device, disable and try again."Nowhere on my security settings I find Content protection or Content Lock.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm a new and proud owner of a BlackBerry Curve 8900.I bought this used from a guy and I didn't realize this before til now. This phone is "permanently" password protected, meaning that I need to insert my password every single time I unlock my phone. I tried going to "Password" and disabling this option but there is a red lock beside the option and it won't let me choose Disable, only Enable. I went to TMobile and asked them but they said it's programed into the phone and told me to go back to the guy that sold me this.
I don't keep in contact with the guy who sold me this anymore. Is there ANY WAY to disable this?
Content protection is enabled, how do I undo this?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the phone for about a week and I absolutely love it except that at seemingly random moments my phone will block the viewing of any and all of my SMS messages saying "Content protection is enabled". It will show up at the beginning of newly received messages and even in the middle of real-time conversations between someone else and I and then I have to wait for the message to "go away" so I can read what the response was and continue the conversation. Is it something I'm doing? A default phone feature? Is anyone else experiencing this issue or at least know how to solve it?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got a few questions about my AT&T Curve 8310...I was looking through "Options > Applications" and saw that the app that took the most memory was "Content Store." Anyone know what this is, if I can delete it, & what would happen if I did? Is there any way to shrink this down some?
My address book takes up quite a bit of memory; so does my calendar -- both of which were synced from Outlook. Is there any way to have the addresses/calendar data stored onto my microSD instead of the device memory?
Lastly, I noticed that when I call people using my Curve, it shows up on their caller ID as "private name, private number." Where can I change this setting? Is it in my provider's settings (which I can access online) or on the BlackBerry's settings somewhere? Also, is it possible to at least NOT have it show private when calling those on my address book, such as friends & relatives?
I've got a blackberry curve 8530 (software version 5.0 Bundle 1675). My desktop software updated a few days ago (to 7.0.0.59).During synchronization of contacts, I get the error in the subject above.I have gone to the bb knowledge base here[URL] I have completely reset the device to factory defaults as described here - [URL].That much worked.I have restored from backup. Full backups. The restore completed successfully. Then I tried synchronization again. Failed again exactly as above. So I reset to factory defaults again and tried restoring from a different backup. Still failed in synchronization. I have also powered off and on. And removed the battery. Various combinations of all of the above. Before I throw this blackberry away and get something that works? My synch is attempting to synchronize only contact data. I have set it up only to try that. It's not trying to synchronize anything else. The contact data is being synchronized from my computer's contacts folder to the smartphone - one direction only. Computer contact list should always win. That's the configuration setting.I keep seeing this as well: "Content rights do not match the device. Please insert the media card back to the right device" (then an OK button below that). I have a media card all right, but I have not removed nor inserted it, nor changed it in any way.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI had a Blackberry Curve 8520 that was stolen yesterday. My service provider told me that they will only be able to shut down the line, nothing else. Is there a way to disable the phone? It would be nice if I could make sure no one can even turn it on, or at least make sure it can no longer be used on any service provider.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAny way to disable the wireless charging sound without rooting or silencing all notifications? This is pretty annoying not being able to turn it off. The first notification when I place the phone on the charger I'm fine with. It's the ones throughout the night that wake me. I've read when it's up to charge and trickling back down, or getting hot and pausing charges is why this happens. The only solution I found is rooting, which I rather not do until Knox isn't tripped.
