deleted prior email, but still shows icon that I have one email, but there is no messsages. I may have not opened one of the emails that I deleted . I suspect this is the problem.

Does anyone know why all of a sudden my email icon shows a white envelope outlined in red with a smaller red envelope on top? It was previously (for the last year) a white envelope. Verizon is my provider.

I had to adjust the settings of the e-mail icon to also show SMS'es, but having both showing in one list is not convenient. It looks as if the properties of the SMS icon are completely taken over by the e-mail icon, as changing a setting under the e-mail icon also changes that same setting under the SMS icon...

Something weird happened with my Blackberry Bold 9700 yesterday.
There is an e-mail icon on the top with a "1" next to it but there is no e-mail within my centralized message box or my individual mail account icons.
I tried removing the battery and putting it back in and this didn't fix the problem.
I also scrolled through all the messages within my centralized message box and there aren't any unread messages (past or current).
I also tried to fix it by sending myself an e-mail message and opening it but this didn't work. The icon on the top of my screen shows "2" when the new message arrives and when I open this e-mail message, the number next to the icon goes back to "1".
By mistake I've deleted the Email icon/app from my E66 and all email accounts. How can I restore that application? Is there a site to download it from?

I recently got a Blackberry Curve 9300 about 3 months back and have had no troubles till last week. I have shifted base from India to the UK and am currently on O2. The blackberry was purchased in India. Since the last week my BB has been randomly showing up the wait icon (the small clock), gets frozen and draining the battery very fast. Some specs below.6.0 Bundle 2475 (v 6.0.0.546, Platform 6.6.0.207) just to let you know I was using Airtel (Bharati Cellular Services India) back then.Free Space: 54929611 bytes I feel that my BB has trouble hooking up with the O2 network (not very sure cause I used it for a good 2 weeks without any problem).I have done innumerable battery pulls and quite a few reinstalls including restoring it to factory defaults and reinstalling the OS again.

Lately (last week or 2) I get the new message icon displayed, but when I open my messages folder the red asterick goes away but the envolpe icon still is there and the count goes up. Currently it says 4 but I do not have any unread emails, nor any unread facebook messages. The only way to 'reset' this is a battrr pull. But then it starts generating again. I just updated 4.6.1.319 hoping this would help but sstill the same problems. If any other info is needed please let me know.

However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?
