BB Curve :: Battery Had Drained To Find On The Screen A Drained Battery Icon With A Red Cross/line Through It?
Feb 9, 2011I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.

Jul 26, 2011Yesterday my blackberry was on with nearly dead battery, so I plugged in the charger and it shut down and rebooted to a screen with a red line through a battery icon. I assume this means the battery is completely dead but I have tried the battery in another phone and it was fully charged. I have also tried other batteries in my phone which just resulted in the same thing. I also had this problem before and somehow it solved itself within a few hours, but it seems like this time it isn't.

An unusual battery icon started appearing and it won't go away. I tried draining my batt, rebooting the phone, full charging the batt, security wiping again, nothing seems to work.

Jan 28, 2012My month-old Blackberry Curve 9300 won't turn on. I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it.

Sep 26, 2010so i charged it the red LED start to show and white screen with battery icon in the middle it looks like empty battery, and stuck on it and sometimes it keeps spinning over and over again until it bcome black screen then it starts the same begining I tried the hard boot by taking the battery out for sometime and reinstalled it but it didn't work. I even try putting a different battery (friends battery) but still no joy.. and the main catch is if i try taking out the battery and plug the charger or connects it to the laptop it does the same thing without even any battery in it.So is it really a Battery problem or the OS problem.?? (If its a OS problem, can u install it myself at home.?

Sep 30, 2011I have a habit of saving all my sms text messages, and that was exactly what I was doing on my BB since June, 2011, from day one of using the phone.
However it seems that any sms beyond a month old automatically turns blank and becomes a green icon. Am lost since a lot of personal smses have vanished, including Flight tkt details - a day before my flight too..
lately the smses have turned green just 3 weeks out.... am desperate... since I also get a Application Memory full message.. inspite of saving all pics and music files on a 4GB memory card.
I would have to switch to my previous Samsung phone otherwise, even though it lacks a lot of features like my current BB..
I take a daily backup thru BB Protect, but it doesnt makes things better.

May 1, 2011I have a bold 9700 with the red x through battery problem. It's not the battery I've tired 3 different batteries, all which were original. It always comes up with the same problem. The LED will turn red when I charge it, then the empty battery with an X through it will be displayed.
I've tried connecting it to Desktop Manager, and it gets recognized just fine, just won't charge at all.

I have tried to wipe the OS with BBSAK 1.8.0, 1.8.2, 1.9.2 , JL_CMDR and Java Loader, none of this work for me, as they all fail to connect to my device. BBSAK could not detect my device. But BB desktop Manager can connect, detect and recongnise my device. When I try to update and reload the OS with DM and BB application loader, I get stuck up with an error message: "Reconnecting to JVM". My Laptop HP Pavilion dm4 Notebook is running 64-bit / Window 7.

Jun 5, 2014So today my Nokia Lumia Icon (Still on 8.0) had the "4 hour bug." This is where the phone gets quite hot and the battery lasts less than 4 hours on idle.
What was interesting to me, though, was after my battery died and I tried charging it, it'd get stuck in a loop.
1)Battery Icon with Red Line showing "Charging."
2)Vibrate
3)Nokia Logo
4)Repeat every 5-10 seconds.
Doing a Soft Reset fixed it (Volume Down + Power for 15 seconds) but I'm still wondering if there's been anything from Nokia or Microsoft about this issue other than "We are aware of it." It's been 10 months since this issue arrived on older devices, and it seems to be a Nokia-wide issue.

Oct 9, 2011I'm noticing that my battery life isn't what it seems to be after the upgrade.asically, I rarely check my battery status other than looking at the icon in the notification bar. Today, it clearly showed about 75%. I thought that was pretty good considering the phone was off the charger for about 20 hours (extended battery).I took a look at the battery status details and I see my battery is actually at 50%. The icon obviously is a limited indicator but I don't recall it being so far off prior to the upgrade. Has this changed or is it just that I'm remembering it "differently"?By the way, 73% was used by Android System and 50% (extended battery) after 20 hours of standby is still not good and not even close to specifications. Clearly this needs more work.
