Jan 8, 2010I just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.

Jul 21, 2011I've been looking for help with this for weeks now and i can't find a bit of it anywhere. I wanted to put music on my phone so i went out and bought a micro sd card and tried to load music onto it using a usb to connect to my phone. I've tried literally just about everything. I switched over to USB Mass Storage mode and created a music folder and etc, etc,. But even after i put a couple of songs on the thing my phone still says there's nothing there. I also tried doing the Nokia Ovi Suite thing and apparently my phone model isn't compatible with it. I'm completely surprised by the lack of support from the manufacturing website.

Also, Ovi doen't delete my music on my Nokia N8 phone (I thought maybe that will enable sync option again?) I press delete it opens up the thing where it says it is deleting and then when I refresh all my music just comes back!

Dec 19, 2011I thought it would be a good idea to sync my music via the Blackberry desktop program. however since i have done this my torch does not like it when i want to make a playlist from the music on my media card. I want my device to unsync, which i have tried to do many times via the desktop program and even tried to select "forget this device"
I want my torch to forget my "home" music and not at all have the option to sync music via wifi or anything! I used to be able to easily make playlist from music on my SD media card but now it won't let me...

Jun 16, 2010I've just downloaded some songs from the Ovi Player Store with the voucher I was given from the phone; they downloaded and play on the Ovi player fine. However every time I try to sync the new songs to my phone, I either get the message 'Operation Failed: unable to copy tracks', or my phone turns off and restarts itself...
I have added music to my phone before and that worked fine but doesn't seem to be working this time. Any ideas on what is wrong or am I making a visit to the shop?

May 12, 2012I recently updated my phone and lost almost all of my 3200 songs. They still are available in my itunes on my mac, but not on my phone. When updating my music the other night, i believe i had my phone synced with iCloud, and all of the music downloaded prior to that is not available on my phone, with the exception of a few Christmas songs, which are useless right now. The songs I have downloaded since appear on my phone, but I cannot figure out how to add the previous songs to the phone. I made an apple ID months ago, and was wondering if having two separate ID's has something to do with it. I do not think that is the case.

Jun 1, 2012My iPhone 4s has the most recent iOS update. When select my iPhone under devices and run a sync, the sync goes to step 5, but then stops without syncing any music to the phone even though there are songs selected in iTunes. Now there isn't any music on my phone. I did change my Apple ID, but I've done that before without problems so I'm not sure if that is the cause. I have also authorized my Mac.

The problem is that the music player on the phone only looks in the folder called "Soundfiles" ("Lydfiler" in danish). The only way to make the music from "Music" available to the player, is to move it by the help of the FIlemanager on the phone. It can't be moved by the help of a file handler application in Ovi Suite.

Using the Android transfer app. And it will not allow me to drag & drop all my song. So I give DoubleTwist a try and it fails to sync a few of my 2800 songs.
I read somewhere that you have to root the S5 to allow this. Is that true?

However, when i sync the rigntone back to my computer, it said it will going to delete all my music( i thought i can sync the back to the computer, so i click yes). Apr 26, 2012Operating latest iTunes and iOS software. iTunes recognizes my iPhone. When I select music to sync in iTunes, when syncing the sync bar skips over syncing music (goes1-2-4-5).
Previously I added one album to the phone. Now today when I attempted to syncmore music the album disappeared from my phone (even tho it was checked to sync in iTunes) and I now have no music on the phone.

May 10, 2012Since downloading IOS 5.1.1 my selected music in iTunes will not download to my iphone 3GS. Never had this problem before. The itunes library shows all the albums I want to sync checked off and even when I connect the iphone with the sync cable the songs will not be synced. I've looked at all settings and everything looks the same as it always has. I did get a new iphone 3GS recently to replace a stolen one but all settings remain the same other then the new software 5.5.1.
