My music won't sync from iTunes to iPhone...restored last night from backup and have changed settings in Summary with no results. This happened the last time I updated the OS and I can't remember how I got the music to sync. The only music that will sync is music I've purchased and not downloaded from CD's.
#1-i have ringtones and test music files that appear in my music files and i dont know where they come from. #2-I also have voice files for maps in my music files. ironically though, the voice files are not working with maps....i want to remove them from my playlist but they are not showing up in the ovi suite?
We have recently purchased the new I-pad, we have tried to sync our 2, 3gs phones w/ I-pad. Some Music shows up transparent in I-tunes and won't access. What must be done to access music?
I just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.
I've been looking for help with this for weeks now and i can't find a bit of it anywhere. I wanted to put music on my phone so i went out and bought a micro sd card and tried to load music onto it using a usb to connect to my phone. I've tried literally just about everything. I switched over to USB Mass Storage mode and created a music folder and etc, etc,. But even after i put a couple of songs on the thing my phone still says there's nothing there. I also tried doing the Nokia Ovi Suite thing and apparently my phone model isn't compatible with it. I'm completely surprised by the lack of support from the manufacturing website.
i have an iphone 4 and my laptop crashed.i have had to get a new hard drive and have lost my itunes and all its data. is there a way to sync my iphone but keep all my music etc?
I recently updated my phone and lost almost all of my 3200 songs. They still are available in my itunes on my mac, but not on my phone. When updating my music the other night, i believe i had my phone synced with iCloud, and all of the music downloaded prior to that is not available on my phone, with the exception of a few Christmas songs, which are useless right now. The songs I have downloaded since appear on my phone, but I cannot figure out how to add the previous songs to the phone. I made an apple ID months ago, and was wondering if having two separate ID's has something to do with it. I do not think that is the case.
My iPhone 4s has the most recent iOS update. When select my iPhone under devices and run a sync, the sync goes to step 5, but then stops without syncing any music to the phone even though there are songs selected in iTunes. Now there isn't any music on my phone. I did change my Apple ID, but I've done that before without problems so I'm not sure if that is the cause. I have also authorized my Mac.
I've bought an iPhone 3gs and I am trying to sync my music from my laptop onto it. I already have a large selection of music from my ipod and don't know how to put the same music onto my new phone.
I updated to version 3.0.0.284, and there is no option to sync music! Is this intentional?
Also, Ovi doen't delete my music on my Nokia N8 phone (I thought maybe that will enable sync option again?) I press delete it opens up the thing where it says it is deleting and then when I refresh all my music just comes back!
yesterday, i download an apps, ringtone designer (free version), and then i create a ringtone, which is good. However, when i sync the rigntone back to my computer, it said it will going to delete all my music( i thought i can sync the back to the computer, so i click yes). Sad thing happen, i found out that i cant not sync the music( i download the music fron somewhere else, not from itunes). i restored my phone, turn of the itunes, computer everything but it doesnt work.
Operating latest iTunes and iOS software. iTunes recognizes my iPhone. When I select music to sync in iTunes, when syncing the sync bar skips over syncing music (goes1-2-4-5).
Previously I added one album to the phone. Now today when I attempted to syncmore music the album disappeared from my phone (even tho it was checked to sync in iTunes) and I now have no music on the phone.
using iTunes, you can only use one computer to sync things such as music. The computer that I was previously using with syncing died on me and now that I am on a new one it says that I have to erase everything on my iPhone just to put one mixtape on it which is complete BS. So I ask you Apple, iTunes support, or whoever, why?
Trying to sync music from my mac to the iphone and some songs are transferred and work but many I can see but not play in the iphone. I get an error message when sync the it was not successful and should check iTune....
Since downloading IOS 5.1.1 my selected music in iTunes will not download to my iphone 3GS. Never had this problem before. The itunes library shows all the albums I want to sync checked off and even when I connect the iphone with the sync cable the songs will not be synced. I've looked at all settings and everything looks the same as it always has. I did get a new iphone 3GS recently to replace a stolen one but all settings remain the same other then the new software 5.5.1.
Info: iPhone 3GS, iOS 5, Main syncing computer is MacBook
my mac book was stolen so I bought an imac. I have my music on my iphone but am scared to sync my iPhone to my iMac for fear of loosing my music for good. is it possible to sync my music from my phone to my mac?
I have purchased these 2 songs on my iPhone and now i want to put them into my library on my PC. But these 2 songs, which I have purchased resently, are showing up like this and i am unable to play them. As you can see, the color of the songs are more matt and gray, compared to the black test of the others. And notice the syncing icon on the left (it is not spinning)..? It is like if they are sort of inactive songs in my library..
I've been syncing my iPhone with my PC for years but just had to get a new computer. I transfered all my music and everything to the new PC but when I connect my iPhone and click on the playlists, it shows everything greyed out and I can't do anything. How do I sync with the new PC? All I really want to do is add more music.
After upgrading to the latest ios (from 4.3.3), when I hit sync in itunes, it says "waiting for sync to start," "preparing to sync" and "waiting for changes to be applied," while not actually syncing music or apps. It does sync photos, though, for some reason. I tried rebooting the computer, using a different wire, and using a different usb port.
I just finally upgraded from iOS 4.x.x to 5.1.1. My music is still in my iTunes library on my Mac. And I Still have a folder full of music. But it disappeared from my iPhone. When I click on the iPhone and click on the music tab there's nothingthere so I can't sync it on to my iPhone. it works fine on my laptop but I can't put it on my iPhone. Also most of my apps disappeared. Any got any ideas?
