yesterday, i download an apps, ringtone designer (free version), and then i create a ringtone, which is good. However, when i sync the rigntone back to my computer, it said it will going to delete all my music( i thought i can sync the back to the computer, so i click yes). Sad thing happen, i found out that i cant not sync the music( i download the music fron somewhere else, not from itunes). i restored my phone, turn of the itunes, computer everything but it doesnt work.
I wanted to update my software to the latest version so before i did that i made sure i synced/backed up my phone. Then i restored my phone from back up only to find that my contacts have all dissapeared. Why?
All my apps, calender, notes, photos etc have appeared except for my contacts.
#1-i have ringtones and test music files that appear in my music files and i dont know where they come from. #2-I also have voice files for maps in my music files. ironically though, the voice files are not working with maps....i want to remove them from my playlist but they are not showing up in the ovi suite?

We have recently purchased the new I-pad, we have tried to sync our 2, 3gs phones w/ I-pad. Some Music shows up transparent in I-tunes and won't access. What must be done to access music?
When I used to sync my iPhone 4s by plugging in the wire connected to my iMac, the sync would first start with a back-up. Now that I have changed to wireless sync, it doesn't back up. Is there a back-up setting for wireless syncing that I missed? How do I get it to back-up with wireless syncing?
I have recently lost my contacts from my latest back up file which i did last week. I have another back up file which was done about 8 months ago which i'm sure has all of my contacts on it. My question is how can i merge those contacts onto my phone from that old back up and then merge my latest back up for my apps, calender notes etc.

First of all the laptop that had all my songs on it decided to get a "blue screen of death" and my dad won't fix it. Second of all, my dad decided to give my little sister my iPhone 3G for her birthday while I got his iPhone 3GS and he upgraded to the iPhone 4G. To switch the data he had to go through all of our iTunes accounts and do some removing and restoring. When we got our phones back regular data like pictures, apps, and contacts switched just fine. However, my phone had all of my dad's music instead of mine. I could've easily fixed this problem by getting my songs back, but my laptop is broken. What should I do?
I am using a 3G iPhone and just updated from system 3.? to 4.?. I am trying to restore the backup and iTunes keeps asking me to "Enter the password to unlock your iPhone backup. I don't know what password? I tried my MacBook Pro admin password but that doesn't work. I tried my apple ID but that doesn't work. I am afraid to put in to many tries. Why do I need and password to "unlock" the backup, and how can I resolve this so I can put all the apps and music back onto my phone!
I just got an iPhone for my birthday, the iPhone 4S, and I was getting everything from my iPod to my iPhone. It worked perfectly, and I was deleting some unwanted apps. I was moving apps around, too, and when I moved one close to the bottom where Phone, Mail, Safari and Music are, the music icon disappeared! Is there anyway I can get it back?
I recently had my iPhone replaced and the cloud backup was taking over 6hours and kept cutting out mid re-store(problem 1)....so I gave up and uploaded from iTunes but hadn't backed it up completely previously and I have now lost all my paid for music...how can I get this back? Through iTunes somehow?
I just sold my 3gs and I want to make sure I dont have to do anything with my contacts in order for them to sync back up with my iphone 4 when it gets here. Will it automatically just do this or do I need to do something before I restore my 3gs?
I can't sync my iPhone and back up my data with my computer because iTunes says to enter the passcode into my iPhone to unlock it, but I am unable to unlock and enter in my passcode on my iPhone because the screen is shattered. I have my replacement iPhone with me and I'm not going to activate it until I can sync/get the data from my broken iPhone. I have the envelope to send my broken iPhone back to the Verizon store or whatever so that's not a problem. I just can't sync my old iPhone with my computer.
I lost all my music, when I reset my iphone 4s by mistake. I have a pc computer. I tried transferring my itunes by hook up and wifi. Nothing works. I got itunes match and icloud, but can't get my songs back on my iphone.

I just bought a Nokia 5530 Xpress Music and tried out syncing my phone's files using Ovi Suite so I can easily retrieve them if ever they get deleted when I update my phone's firmware. When I synced my files, everything else worked fine except for the music files and these are the following problems I encountered: Ovi Suite did not only copy my phone's music files to my pc, it also copied all the music files of my pc to my phone at the same time. This shouldn't happen right? Because I'm only trying to sync my phone's files to my computer, and not transfer files from my computer to my phone so it should only copy all the songs in my 5530 to Ovi Suite.
My computer's hard drive and backup drive both malfunctioned at the same time, and I've lost a lot of the mp3 files that still live on my iPhone4. I want to download the mp3 files on my iPhone back onto the new drives so I don't have to re-do 1500 songs. I can't find anything that shows how to do this, and it's very frustrating that something so simple isn't a basic feature. (The Sync function wipes out all the data on the iPhone, but doesn't allow for the reverse...very stupid design, in my opinion.) And in Windows XP--no jokes please--the iPhone files on the windows explorer only shows photos, no music...again, not a very smart design. So how do I export my music files back to my computer and back up drive?
