When i try to unlock the blackberry , the password is shown in clear letters not in asterisks.Even if typing in the right password, it doesn't get accepted. And it's asking me to type in "blackberry"

The asterisk which appears on the home screen contacts bar when you have an outstanding contact has previously worked absolutely fine. However I now have the asterisk "stuck" on a contact despite not being able to find any contact to clear or open - no missed calls or unopened text messages etc.Any ideas on how to clear this?

Initially there was also a red asterisk on the gmail icon, but there are no emails saved, no messages unread or saved anywhere. I took it to the local Verizon store, they looked at it for an hour and got nowhere. I had already removed the battery are reinstalled it, but the thing is still there.

I just bought a new MacBook and had originally synced my iPhone 4s to my old windows laptop. I connected it to the new Mac through usb and when I sync it at the top it says it backs up but when I look under the backup tab it says last backup was unknown and there's no date whereas my other computer has a date.
