My Curve 8520 is asking for a password which I have no clue to what it is to unlock the phone. I had a password before consisting of 4 digits, but I removed it as I found it quite annoying. But now it's asking for a password and it isn't those 4 digits. But now I've got 1 try left until "information will be erased". What to do ?
View 21 RepliesI tried to download photos/contact details for the first time on my pc I downloaded the software off the Blackberry website and everything went swimmingly until it asked for a password. I have no idea what it is must have set one up in the shop or I perhaps did it when I first had the phone anyway I cat remember it and it is imperative that I do not lose the photos and contacts that I have must have had he phone for over a year. The phone is now asking for a password in letters -this is different to my usual 4 number access code.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi just updated my curve to the 5.0 or something. on the old setting i could lock the keypad with the left convience key and then press *A and the left green phone buttons. however on having updated the phone it wont let me do this anymore. Does anyone know how i can get it so that i can lock the keypad without having to type in a password to unlock it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI need to be able to lock my blackberry with a password and I had to be able to just hold down the A key to do this, but after I downloaded the software upgrade to 5.0.0.508 locks the keyboard, not the phone. Also it's darn near impossible to unlock the keyboard with the mute key because I have a case on my phone. I have to pull the case off to get it to unlock.How can I get it back to just the password lock when I hold down the A key? I've tried to go into speed dial keys and update it there, but it won't let me change that one.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to set up my email account through the wizard set up and have been largely unsuccessful. I read a couple of posts that have given a step-by-step process. My only problem is that I don't have an option that says 'Add account.' Here are the steps I've followed:
1) Go to Email Setup
2) Choose 'I want to create or add an email address.
3) Click next
4)Click next again
5)Then, I get a message which says 'Existing Users, to log in, please provide your username and password.'
I don't have an option to add an account. When I put in my username and password into the fields, I get a message saying please enter a valid username. (My service provider already set up my Gmail, and couldn't add the other one. I told him I'd figure it out)
I just upgraded to a BlackBerry Curve and was very happy when my Password Keeper just showed up, accepted my old password and had my database. However, the find function no longer works. If I type A, is says no passwords found even though I can see a bunch as soon as I open it. So how does one fix and non-functioning password keeper find function. It is painful trying to get to the ones that start with "Z!"

It looks similar to the icon used for missed call or placed call except it has a curved arrow next to it. It is a gold phone receiver and the arrow is bent at a 45 degree angle. (Kind of like a backwards check mark with an arrow head on the bottom). I have a suspicion that it has to do with call forwarding since I forwarded calls to different phone # the other day, however, I cancelled that. I have checked my messages folder, rebooted, pulled battery, done an update, etc. Nothing works. I looked through the manual and it doesn't show the icon.

I know the password to install the apps, but can't figure why it's different. It seems wrong. My iTunes userid is a "xxxxx.mac" format and when I goto install the apps, it just says my userid is just "xxxxx".BTW, when I plug my 4s into my imac, iTunes does not recognize it.
