I'm looking for a way to hide the BBM notifications on my BlackBerry Curve 9300. I'm using BBM Lock to secure my BBM but you can bypass the password when you click the notification. I've already unlink my BBM contact from my regular contact list because you bypass the password by there too.

I have tried everything to try and resolve my issues but have not been able to do so.
First, I accidently hid a picture by checking the 'hide' field. Now how do you get it back?! I've had a couple of my friends with the same phone try and figure it out and they havent been able to.Secondly, when I choose a picture to be my wallpaper, it shows in a zoomed in version of the top left corner of the picture. I do recall when I was choosing the picture to set as my wallpaper, that I zoomed in on it before setting it, but used the 'back' key to remove the zoom feature. It appeared ok on the screen but set the wallpaper as the zoomed in picture. Now it doesn't matter which picture I choose, I get on the top left side, zoomed in showing up on my wallpaper. - even though it appears normal before setting it.
all of a sudden my icons lost color. not all of them, but most of them. when i tried to hide icons that i do not use, it would not hide them. and i cannot recharge my phone from the auto. i have tried other autos and different chargers, the electric charger works fine too.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a 9300 and I previously had an old 2G curve. We have an Enterprise server I believe at work. Everything transferred perfectly except one thing. When I go in messages and choose options, hide sent messages, YES and hit save........and then go back to look again, it has changed back to NO. Every time!!!! It doesn't do this for Hide Filed Messages.....just the Hide Sent Messages. It's very weird.

i have just bought a bb 8520, and i cant find where to block the phone sending my id [telephone number] to who i am calling.i have called my carrier because this is a service that they have to add to the plan, but they told me that the only way is to dial #31# before every phone number thats an option, but unreal, beacuse for the 99% of times you choose the phone number from the contact list [or you should modify every phone to have the #31# before the number]i had a nokia before, and this option is easy configured through the options tab does anybody knows where to configure this option?

My screen has the history of every text message sent between me and the reciepient as if we are in a chat screen. On the curve 8330 all you had to do was go to options-sms-number of previous items and change the setting. Under the help option and in the user manual for the 8530 it says to follow those exact directions but for some reason that option is not available for me when I go to options-sms. I contacted my service provider Verizon and they stated the option isnt available on this model. So why would it be under the help menu on the phone. Can anyone help me I hate to read days and days of text messages between me and another person if I make a mistake and scroll up. All I want to do is see the previous text message in the new text message screen.

I haven't done any update or settings change, so I found it a bit weird.I've already checked the profile settings (they are all correct), I've also tried to downgrade the software version to BB4 but, after some minutes the sounds stopped working again.Then I went back to 5.0.0.855 (1385) and still no sounds...The music player is working, the keypad sounds are OK... only the notifications are muted.

Anyway, I know that when you get a new notification, a little icon appears at the top of your screen with the blue 'F' logo and a red star on, to show that it's unread. Anyway, I checked all my notifications then deleted them, but I still have a '1 F' icon at the top (without a red star) - even after deleting all my notifications again.
