I am BB curve 9360 user. I was waiting for upgrade notification for BBM 7 from the release. But till now I do not see any upgrade in apps world. What may be the reason. i have refreshed the my apps world page several times. Let me know if any issues with BBM 7 upgradation.

I was delighted to see I can finally upgrade my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did so at once.Unfortunately I discovered all the pre-set alarm and notification sounds from the original factory settings are gone now and most of them have been replaced by rather lame ones. Is there any way to recover or download the old OS5 Bold 9700 sounds from a official (!) source?

But most of all that makes me mad is that the upgrade changed my notification sounds I had customized. not only that now I can not select my favorite sounds for specific notification. can only get sounds and ringtones that are on Lollipop by default.

For instance, I just found out that to get LED notifications, I have to have vibration or sound turned on. No LED notifications on mute/silent? Are they serious? There seems to be no way to get a notification now without having my phone vibrating or making noise on my desk at work, which means I'm either annoying my coworkers or not getting notifications. It seemed that if I want to disable vibration and still get LED alerts, I need to go into every app and disable it there, which is totally counterintuitive—I used to be able to control this by pressing the volume button on the side of the phone.
Not only that, but I currently have vibration turned on so that I can get LED alerts, and I unchecked vibration in Hangouts for both Hangouts messages and SMS messages, and it's still vibrating.Is there any way at all to get LED notifications without vibration?

I found that my screen light sensor (which actually works b4 under different environment lighting) and the LED notification light (it works b4 while I got the missed call or sms) do not work after update to android 2.1... One more is, the screen color gradation seem worst that b4...is it normal?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure if there is a defect in my update... but upon completion of update, I noticed that when I drag down the notification panel, immediately below the status bar before the notifications, the words "(No service)" is displayed. I do not remember 1.6 having that... but is it suppose to show my network name? I hope someone could enlighten me. It is irritating having those words there not knowing what it means.

However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

I haven't done any update or settings change, so I found it a bit weird.I've already checked the profile settings (they are all correct), I've also tried to downgrade the software version to BB4 but, after some minutes the sounds stopped working again.Then I went back to 5.0.0.855 (1385) and still no sounds...The music player is working, the keypad sounds are OK... only the notifications are muted.

Anyway, I know that when you get a new notification, a little icon appears at the top of your screen with the blue 'F' logo and a red star on, to show that it's unread. Anyway, I checked all my notifications then deleted them, but I still have a '1 F' icon at the top (without a red star) - even after deleting all my notifications again.
How do I get rid of the yellow star notification on my blackberry?
