It had an orang triangle with an exclaimation mark in it. Then i made sure it was connected to wifi. but still no change in status. i rebooted the phone and since then not download happening. I tried system update option. it gives the following message"An update is currently being downloaded.You will be notified when the download is complete.

View 13 Replies View RelatedIt's not consistent, but the notification bar is gone on the lockscreen when I power on the phone. If I unlock, the bar comes down, but only after several seconds. It seems to only happen when I have a paused application there, but I usually do with my podcast player, BeyondPod, though it happens with other apps, like the Google Player app. How do I always have the notification bar there? When it's there, I can pull it down to do things even with the phone locked, so I don't see why it should randomly disappear.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI waited and waited for the OTA. No issues on install, and I do love many of the new features. However, my phone is generally slower to respond. Where it would once keep up with my swipes, pokes, and keystrokes, it now seems sluggish at times. Exceptionally slow when hitting enter from the google search widget. That is, the time from when I hit search until the time a webpage is loaded is much slower than before with both Chrome and Browser.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I am activly chatting with someone, each message recieved is playing the alert sound, and displaying in the notification bar. This didn't happen on my DX. On the DX, all sounds and alerts were muted for an app while I was activly using it. I don't want chat alerts WHILE I am chatting.

It now runs on android version 4.0.4 The graphics seem to have got an adrenalin boost... :) I wanted to get some more clarity on the following:as the task manager app been done away with? In the earlier version (2.3.6) there used to be an app called task manager. Here you could opt to close applications automatically once you move away from them. I presume it was to ensure optimisation of battery usage. In the new version the only way to accomplish the same seems to bring up the list of running apps - by long pressing the home key - and then swiping off the app - which you dont want running in the background - from the screen. Wouldnt the automatic closure of apps be a better option? Is there any way to get back the automatic closure feature in the current version?
In the previous version one could personalise the notification ring tone for the arrival of mails in the corporate mail inbox. This feature seems absent in the current version. I wanted to know if it still can be done? A distinct ring tone for mail arrivals is a good nice-to-have feature. Thirdly, i observed that the battery consumption seems to have increased post the ICS install. Is it just me or have others also noticed the same?
I love that Motorola has built in unread counts to certain icons (email, text message, hone, calendar, etc.) but I noticed that there isn't an unread count for the gmail icon.Was this done on purpose? Or am I missing a settings option where I can turn this on?Also, I don't know if the calendar app on Moto phones did this before, but it's a nice touch that the icon changes with the current date.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI got the orange triangle notification yesterday saying something about having to re-enter my password. I enter it and I'm told it's invalid but I know it isn't. I change the password three or four times and keep getting the same results. However going directly to a Google site the passwords worked every time and yet my phone authentication whatever you want to call it tells me its wrong. Can't access Google play or update any app atm.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have the option selected, Options>Sound>. to notify when the battery is fully charged.I'm not getting a sound, a blinking LED, or anything in the status bar stating that the battery is charged as I did with GB. The only way I know it's charged is by going into options and checking the battery status under device options.The only change I have that I think could be affecting it is that I have the screen lock function turned off.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently had to remove my MicroSD card from my phone and started running it just using internal storage. I cleared out a lot of apps and media to compensate for the lack of SD storage but since then I keep getting a "Low on Volume Storage" message.I have 2.92GB available space for application storage and 0.90GB in the internal storage - so there is a decent amount still available to the system and yet I keep getting a "low on volume storage" notification. It is infuriating because I already know what the storage situation is, but every time I dismiss the notification it reappears in a few minutes. Does any know if it is possible to just stop this notification from appearing without having to delete more things from my device?
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I had my Incredible I was able to set a different notification sound for each Gmail account (2), Facebook, voice-mail, texting, etc. When I do this on my Maxx with ICS whatever the last one is that I set up automatically becomes the :default sound" and all the apps use that sound...it overrides the sound that I set in each individual app. How can I get what I want done?

When I listen to music in the standard music player that comes with the phone (My Music), it creates a notification with the song that I am listening too (thumbs up). However, I am unable to clear this notification even when I stop listening to music and exit out of the program (thumbs down).

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have the Razr Maxx. On day one, we attached our Google Voice accounts to our new Verizon accounts. A couple of days ago, a Verizon voicemail notification showed up on my wife's phone, my phone is working fine.
When I click on the notfication icon, it dials *86 and I just get the voicemail greeting from Voice and it allow me to leave a voicemail, which is very strange. The icon "New Voicemail(1)" will not go away. There is no delete option. I tried hitting 7 in call to delete the message. I even tried to force close the app and clear cache. I have searched Google and several phone forums. I even unregistered her Voice and registered it again.
I got my Droid Razr Nov 10th; had problems so Nov 11 evening I reformated device, factory reset.
As of this morning on Nov 19th I noticed my LED notification light flashing, so I turned on screen to see what I missed. Nothing. Okay so I unlocked phone and waited a minute to see if some third party application will tell me I have a notification. Nothing.
I turned display off, waited a min and it started flashing again. This time I had to go to work so I turned off device 100% and went to work; 6hrs later I turned on device and I got the LED notification light again. Still cant figure it out. After texting a friend, his 2nd text finally made it go away.
I attended a wedding ceremony as a guest and put my cell phone on Airplane mode so no distractions during wedding and thankfully no lights. 1hr later I re enabled all Data (turned off Airplane mode) and still no LED notification.
I thought I was saved.
But I was wrong. After 2hrs I'm getitng the LED notification light again. Tech thought it had something to do with battery, well at at any rate I'm getting a new device, will be here Wednesday but apparently its still blinking at me.
Heck I even have that thing plugged into the AC charging battery and its still going off. The weird thing is, is that when I turn a blank black screen to power up for me so I can use device the LED light goes away, but when I turn off the display (not powering device off) it comes back.
Verizon tried to get me to Motorola Tech Support but guess what, during the transition of being transferred it was 5:59 then 6:00 and the phone cut me off so their website shows them being closed. i just missed the transfer to talk to someone at motorola by 1 minute. So now i have to wait til after 3pm PST tomorrow before i call Motorola back about this issue. Til then I'm hoping someone else knows something
I leave my phone in the dock by my bed and have a timeframe smart action set to turn off all ringers but I can't seem to find a way to turn off the notification light. It gets kind of annoying to wake up to get a drink and see that light flashing because of a new email like a new photon or an email. If I could set a smart action to turn the light off at night that would be excellent.
