View 1 RepliesI am having an intermittent problem where callers can't hear me for 6-10 seconds when they call. This is a t best embarrassing and frequently they hang up. As I say the problem is intermittent - sometimes the phone answers as usual. Interestingly, I can hear them talking (and usually saying 'hello? hello?) but they can't hear me and I just keep saying hello until they hang up or until the sound kicks in and we can converse.
I did a factory reset with no improvement, and have also downloaded the PC updater and updated the system with no improvement. Then, I spoke to a friend the other night who described an identical problem with his X10.
All of a sudden I cannot hear anything when making calls and I cannot hear anything when answering calls?? It rings both ways but when I answer I don't hear the other party and they cannot hear me. When i call someone I don't hear it ringing even though it say calling, then connected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen making or receiving a call, the caller or the person I am calling cannot hear me. If I turn on speaker, they can hear me. This is a new iPhone 4, I traded in my 1 year old iPhone 4, because it also was having this issue, & the apple store staff could not fix it.
I have tried turning on/off, plugging in ear buds and unplugging them, cause I heard that could help, & syncing the phone. Nothing has worked yet that I have tried.

Be on a call and all of the sudden the other side cannot hear anything you're saying but you can still hear them. This can happen when you first answer the phone or while you're in the middle of a call. I already got a device replacement and it's still doing the same thing. I only have this problem with 9780 and never with the 9700. I hate to have to downgrade back.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI believe I downloaded a ringtone song into some type of answering/greeting to callers.. I'd like this removed so the caller hears a ring prompt rather than this music.

I purchased the 8530 Curve and sync my contacts from my data base (437 of them). When people call or text me I always see the phone number, but not always their name? So I don't know who it is...frustrating!!! Yet, when I call out, I do see their name. Then to make it worse, it is random...meaning sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

I have been having intermittent problems where I can't hear callers but they can hear me. I could usually restore it by turning my phone off, taking out the memory card and sim and then restarting it.This then became constant a few days ago and I did as above but still nothing. I updated my phone to 2.1 and now I hear 1 or 2 words very very faintly but that's it! In fact it is more faint than it was originally and over the space of 30 seconds I only get 2 words max. Everything else is working fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedPhone was working fine and then a couple of days ago I tried making a call and couldn't hear any dialling tone or when the person answered I couldn't hear them. I can hear them if I turn on the speaker. I cannot hear either if I get a call though the phone rings fine.
I've updated the software and a battery pull but no use. Starting to lose patience now.
I can receive incoming calls and the person on the other end can hear me but i can't hear them unless i have them on speakerphone or have the headphones plugged in. it was working fine earlier but has stopped.

The only way I can hear what callers are saying is if I put them on speaker phone or use headphones.I have tried hard reset, volume level checks, updating software to no avail.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using Motorola Connect and the Google Chrome app to successfully send and receive messages (and I love the feature). However, when I get an incoming call on my Moto X 2014, it pops up on my phone and also a Chrome notification, when I answer via the phone, the caller cannot hear me, and I have to hang up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently having an issue w/ my iPhone 4. For some odd reason when people call me they can't hear me but I can hear them loud & clear. I can record voice memos w/ no issues what-so-ever. I'm not sure what I can do to fix this issue. I've also tried replacing my sim card w/ a new one & that didn't work either, unless that sim card was a bad one as well.

Occasionally the person on the other end of the line can't hear me - unless I can turn the speaker phone on in time. I have tried rebooting. My software is up to date. And I have tried with bluetooth off. It still happens sometimes - but not all the time.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI don't know what happens, but know I only can answer calls with the headset on.Eventhough headset is not plug, the phone acts like if it was. The headset icon always appears in the screen. I just tried to restart the phone. I took the battery off and when the phone restart the icon is not there, as soon as I plug the headset, the icon appears and it continues there til I turn off the phone and start everything again.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwith growing trend my 800 is picking calls by itself. E.g. I'm in a meeting, phone is on a desk, normal profile (ringtone). Suddenly I see the blank screen lighting up and call coming, the phone does play ringtone and the call is automaticly answered -> I can see "end call" button, if I try to speak to the phone the other person hears my voice "beyond grave", but I hear nothing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9700 has been answering calls by itself sometimes. A call will come in and it will automatically answer, but only once in a while. I do not have it set to auto answer. This problem continues until a battery pull is done. Once I pull the battery it works fine again for a while but it will happen again after about a day of working fine. Another problem is that the phone tends to reboot itself very often. After being on the phone for a while it will restart itself, sometimes in the middle of a call. I have called tmobile's blackberry support multiple times and they are no help. I have wiped the device from my blackberry. I have also redone the handheld software and used the application loader to do it. I have no idea why this problem is occuring!! Does anyone else have the same problem or know how to fix it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago my Droid Pro started acting up. I would have 5 bars and yet when I placed or took a call zero bars and the party on the other line could not hear me or had very poor connection. In addition I would receive notice of "no service" in areas normally served. At one point the system was setting to global connection on it's own. Took it to Verizon and they changed it back to CDMA. But still the same problem and on occasion i get a message of no CDMA service available. Went back to Verizon and did a factory reset, wiped out everything expect my contacts and still the same problem and now even worse. Now, when the phone rings it makes a weird Droid sounds and I still cannot be heard on the other end. Text and Internet work fine. Verizon says it is not enough of a problem to warrant a new phone, go figure.
