BB Curve :: Call And Sms Fails After Signal Goes And Comes Back
Apr 16, 2012
Whenever my signal goes away and comes back I can't make calls or send sms's. It only comes right after I take out my simcard and put it in another phone and then put it back in my bb until the signal goes away again. This is frustrating me.
Ive been using the Sensation since more than two weeks now.... At first it was perfectly fine but now Im having problems with the auto rotate... When i tilt the phone it does go to the Landscape mode however when i tilt it back it fails to go back to portrait.... Its getting a little annoying now so is anyone facing the same problem?
I've just brought a nokia 100 (sim free) and put in my THREE sim. It doesn't have any error messages but it claims that I don't have any signal? I know that my area has signal as the same sim works in other phones.p.s. when looking manually selecting signal I found o2, orange, vodafone and T-mobile?
Okay so i have had my z2 for just over a month now all was well but it now drops signal regularly at home and at work. Girlfriend has a htc m8 on same network and hers does not have issues also when it does drop it fails to reconect i have cleaned the sim done a factory reset.
I have just upgraded the firmware and have lost everything that was on my phone. I have tried to restore from back up but keeps coming up with "itunes could not restore the iphone "#######" because the back up session failed.
The back up was done just couple minutes before i upgraded and i have also tried previous back ups but none of them work.
Is there going to be a way to get the back up working?
Had the Bold for just over a year, using Telstra in Australia and OS 4.6.0.144. No Facebook, have googlemaps but I exit whenever I use and have removed most apps.
Three times now the phone for no reason has got that hot that even in a holster on my belt, I felt the heat. The unit get's that hot that it drains the entire battery life in approx 5 min. I remove the battery, let it cool completely and then replace. Telstra don't know what the issue is and as it hasn't happened when I take it back, they will not look at it. Using the THB full car kit, the unit generates a lot of heat slow charging in the car kit cradle and on a heavy day I will get 3-4 hours use before flat, or I have to turn it off and let it cool down.
I have to soft reboot the unit evry 2nd day to stop the black wheel of death and the amount of Call Failed has increased to an embarrassing level. I have reported all these to Telstra and they are investigating.
I have since spoken to another user on Telstra with a Bold and upon describing my problems, he recounted a similar problem with his unit. His Telstra rep informed him that there was a problem batch of Bold's in Australia 12-18 months ago that had a known problem. They replaced his free of charge and he has had no such issues since and a massive increase in battery life. I recounted this our corporate Telstra rep to no avail.
We have 17 Bold's in the fleet, of which 11 came at the same time. Of these 11, 7 have the problem as described as above. Is this a common problem and how do I get Telstra to address ?
I have an LG Versa that always fails when atempting to dial a call. It says "Calling" and the number dialed for about 30 seconds then says "Call Failed!!! Try Again". Everything else on the phone works fine. This happened after the phone was partially bricked and then an emergency flash was performed with LGNPST Lab Level 1.2 and the vx9600.dll. The phone has since been completely reflashed on several occassion with versions 3 & 4 software by the carrier techs, some "super techs" & myself "standard tech" but problem persist.
I have noticed if you go into Programming Mode (##77647269600 call then 000000) under Field Test & Screen that the value "TxPower" is always "TXOff" even while call is being attemped, before it fails. (see attachment) No one has been able to determine how to get the TxPower On. LG says that someone must have changed a setting, but they refuse to provide the information on how it is accomplished. Lg insist that it must be sent in for service. The phone is out of warranty.
My Droid Raxr HD Maxx has developed a very bad habit. Whenever I initiate a voice call, the microphone fails. The failure is exactly at the point of connection, which is to say that I can use the mic for voice dialing. Toggling the speaker button or adjusting the volume (which is set at high) remedies the problem, toggling the mute button does not. This occurs on outgoing calls only; incoming calls are normal.
After I got back home and switched on my phone when the plane landed, up until now I still can't receive H+ signal. I was using H+ rather than 4G because it is still more widespread, but now I can't received any. How can I sort this out?
Suddengly my LG G3 shows full signal (T Mobile) but Not able to make any call. Always says emergency call only.
Tried factory reset. The sim is working in another mobile. Tried different sim in the LG G3 but not working. The phone didn't fall anywhere. phone works through wifi perfectly.
Tried APN settings too.. Not sure how to reply to the answers..so editing the question....
I bought a BB 9780 unlocked last month I was going to call and the screen displayed "No service currently available". So I restarted my phone, my signal bar went into "SOS" and I haven't been able to make it have signal strength again.
The first indication of something wrong was the issue where my Droid 3 began connecting to my network extender only with 1x. But, the problem was worse than that, because it would then connect to a distant, weak tower for 3G. It would lose signal, then switch back to the network extender, where it would lose 3G once again and fall back to 1x. (How do I know it was swapping to a distant tower?the network extender team diagnosed it while I was on a phone call with them and told me they were seeing it do it live on their screens).
They "did something" (I don't know know what that something was), and it seemed to clear up for a while. Then, it came back. Another call to their network extender group, and they "upped the power" of the extender and the problem went away... for two weeks.Today, it started again. Only this time, it was doing the same behavior between two *actual* cell towers at work! The network extender wasn't in the mix, this time.My original Droid, Droid 2 Global, my son's Droid X and my wife's iPhone 4 all have NO problem with the extender (nor any other aspect of the service). This Droid 3 has failed in this manner three times, now. What's up, Moto? Can anything else fail with this phone? Camera blows, keys repeat, social networking is flaky, and apparently it has issues maintaining 3G in some situations. What a miserable experience.
I have been experiencing too many call failures lately. It seems that I have enough bars. If I do a hard reset, the phone acts better for a short time, then the call failures come back. I have ATT.
any suggestions what to do gratefully received have done the ususal, turn everything of and on, remove battery, all are charged ok but computer doesnt seem to recognise bb any more and cant connect
I'm having a strange problem with my new Xperia Z3 Dual ever since I updated it to Lollipop. I’m using two SIM cards from two different operators. But every morning I notice that there is no signal available for SIM2. Signal comes back to normal on SIM2, if a call received or if I made an outgoing call from SIM1. Otherwise I have to switch on to Airplane Mode and switch it off every time to get the signal back. Because of this issue the battery drains so fast during night (due to loss of signal for 6-7hrs). And also I notice sudden call drops during conversations within 5-10 minutes after receiving or making a call.
I checked the same SIM using another phone to get verified whether this issue is related with the operator. But there I didn’t notice this strange behaviour. Hopefully this is something related with my Xperia Z3 Dual. I’m using WCDMA(Preferred)/GSM on SIM1 and GSM Only on SIM2.
Unfortunately it refuses to connect to my wifi. Everytime I try to connect I get a 'Failed to associate with the network' Message.
I've reset both my router and the phone plenty of times, I've checked my WEP passkey (We use WEP as my mum's Vista laptop doesn't seem to want to touch WPA), and well, we have had many devices on the router without issue so I doubt it's that. I've also tried disconnecting some devices from it to make sure the router isn't full up.
I want to import my Adress Book from my old BB into my new Curve but the new software doesn't let me read my saved LoaderBackup-(2012-01-11)-1.ipd and tells me that my 'Dimmed data entries are read only'. Is there a way to unlock my backup?
Anyone been able to get the Extension to Celular feature , primarily Extend call to work on 6.0, it works on my 5.0 phones but not these new 9300 with 6.0. I see the extend call come in shows 4 digit extension the immediately hangs up.
I previously had a bb curve 8520 and recently upgraded to the curve 9320. I have noticed that the 9320 is downloading a lot slower than the 8520 and now the downloads fail as well.I was just wondering what i possibly do to solve these problems?
