The browser on my phone is not working, both over WiFi and my network connection. But all my apps, IM, and email that uses the internet are working with both connection. It won't load any pages.
View 1 RepliesThe internet browser on my phone doesnt work, when I try and load up a website it just says it is unable to do it even though I have credit for internet on my phone, also when trying to connect with wifi it comes up it is connected but with no signal, and does the same thing when trying to open the browser.

I connected successfully to my home network as shown by status on top of home screen. Is there another setting I need to select to 'force" use of my home network? I used to have this in my BOLD settings under browser options, but from what I read the connection switch is supposed to happen automatically on the Torch browser.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy blackberry browser is not behaving properly. It all started a few months ago, I dont know the exact month or day but it's been a while now. When I use the browser, the blue bar at the bottom will progress very slowly and get to the end but no page will actually load. Resetting the phone will, as I said, result in a temporary fix but I am now growing tired of this re-occurance and would like to seek out a permanent fix. I have also re-sent service books, to no avail.

I have a package throiugh my network provider which is operational but the phone will not change. View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to (according to my phone) version 5.0.0.1067, platform 5.20.96. Since this upgrade I can no longer use my browser to do anything. It shows at the bottom that it's "requesting" the site, then it changes to "loading" and gets stuck there forever. The blue bar at the bottom indicating how much has loaded will go all the way over to the other side, in about 15 minutes, but never loads anything.
I haven't changed any settings with the browser. I have icons for my email and for facebook and can still receive updates/emails so it's even more confusing to me as my internet is obviously working.
I apologize if this has been answered already, I went through 5 pages of questions in the forum and had not seen anything yet. I've tried taking the battery out about 10 times, I've cleared all of the history, cache and cookie cache and noticed that there isn't any "pushed" content.

I have had the curve for a few weeks now. At first i changed the settings of the browser to "hotspot" so i could use it with wifi. It was working really well, then all of a sudden it stopped durin browsing. The phone says the wifi connection is fine, but whenever i go to the broswer and try to go to a website it just says loading at the bottom and nothing happens.
Can anyone help with this? should i restart the phone setting somehow because i might have done changed some setting during browsing without realising or is this an actual issue with the phone?
I have a Curve 8900 with a Vodafone corporate account. It is running software v5. For some weeks now, I have been unable to access the internet via the blackberry browser (I can access via Vodafone WAP and can recieve e-mails via corporate account, but not google mail) and any apps using this browser have also stopped working. I get various error messages 'a communication failure has occurred', 'device unable to connect to internet'.
