I have a blackberry curve 9360 OS 7 and when i want open a link the blackberry is using the data plan and i need open it with wifi, how can i do to change the options to wi-fi only?

Now this morning, I tried opening my browser or any of those files and apps to the internet, and they won't open! I keep pushing the button to get them to open, but I can't get anything to open in regards to the internet. I do have the unlimited data plan with Verizon and I did just recently pay my monthly bill, so no problems of payment. I can open the other apps just fine and I can even get emails too. But when it comes to direct connect to the internet, I can't get on!

The Wi-fi is always greyed out for open Wifi connections at airports, hotels, etc. I did manage to get it to turn white once but that was for a WEP-protected connection where I connected manually. Are there some settings that are incorrect? (e.g. the APN username and password is blank in TCP/IP menu).

View 7 Replies View Relatedi've never had this problem until recently. i'll go to Internet's mobile site, perform search, etc. and when i go to click on the video, nothing happens. the browser doesn't open the media player at all. i've tried with my native browser and evn with opera mini, which ultimately requires the native browser anyway. i don't remember changing any particular settings on my browser so i couldn't imagine why i would have this issue. any help would be appreciated. just to reiterate, i don't even so much as an error message. nothing happens at all when i try to play the video. it just stays on the same page.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a nokia N86 still and went back to it today as i dropped X6 tuf cookie for me. Any way when I connect to the net I can get up most pages fine. However, when I need to choose another link on the same page it does not open or reverts back to homescreen.
If I google search something it gets the results but not everytime it will open link, eg today I opened my GSM Arena bookmark that opens fine went to the page after which was the awaited news of nokia releasing 3 phones today, that opens but when I go to open link on that same page it wont open, the phone goes blank or either back to homescreen.
I find the same with OVI and OVI can be horribly slow at times to could this be a factor? Also with yahoo mail the same I get my mail, it opens fine but if I go to open the url on the mail the same happens phone is up to date. As i said I've exhausted every other typical solution there is. Sometimes the message pops up unable to perform operation/packet data not available/forget what the other one is, I have full 3.5g coverage.

Because every time I'm in Chrome and click on a YouTube link, it will play the link in Chrome itself.
As opposed to Firefox. When I click a YouTube link in Firefox, it does what I want, it opens up the YouTube app and plays the video there.
I already tried Settings>Default Applications> and cleared all that. It didn't change anything.

But, I have a question: when browsing sites in the browser, when you hover a link aren't you supposed to be able to just push in the trackball button to 'click' the link? Its not working for me on any sites. I actually have to press the BB menu button and select "Open Link". (e.g on crackberry wallpapers, when i click on a specific genre of wallpapers like "ART", I have to select "open link" instead of just clicking the trackball). It might just be because I am not familiar with all the menu settings yet and this is a buried setting somewhere.

All of a sudden, the screen dims, (with like a blueish tint) but does nothing.I have tried clearing the cache, a hard reset (volume up and on button) and even used the reset to default in the browser settings. It was working really well, then all of a sudden it stopped durin browsing. The phone says the wifi connection is fine, but whenever i go to the broswer and try to go to a website it just says loading at the bottom and nothing happens.
Can anyone help with this? should i restart the phone setting somehow because i might have done changed some setting during browsing without realising or is this an actual issue with the phone?

Every time I connect my micro USB to hdmi lead it drops the wifi connection and the screen connection will drop about every ten seconds. I'm at a complete loss for answers I've try'd different leads and trawled Google for hours for a fix. This set up worked perfectly on all my other Zs.
