I was at a point where my blackberry froze and than I pulled the battery out and inserted back. Than, after restarting and going back in, I realized all my photos and musics are gone.

So I have just bought a bold9780 and every time i try to insert my SD card into the phone a message pops up saying all media files will be on my phone, but then all of a sudden another message shows up saying "media card storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors". I'm not sure what to do..

Being prompted to login using BB ID to verify this change, I tried to log in but it was with no success. Now, my 9780 isnt connected to BIS regardless of having 3G coverage.I also had BB Protect on with my previous sim, when I changed card it gave me a message to confirm this change and asked to login with my BB ID, but tried over wifi and BIS but cant connect.
Having so much diffculties, I made a backup on my pc and run the security wipe. But, still unsuccessful.I tried rebooting, called my telco but still no success. Also, my telco told me that BB Protect had nothing to do with any of this and I'm from Malaysia.
I have a BB curve 3g(9300). I used to connect my BB to my PC with the USB data cable. I would than simply drag songs from my computer into music folder. I have not used the Blackberry media manager software. The songs used to work perfectly and gave me no troubles. However today i wanted to add some more songs so I did the same thing. When I disconnected my BB from the computer I found that there was no music nor were there any pictures that I had clicked earlier. I connected my BB to my computer via data cable. I found that all the music and pictures were there in their respective folders. Please note I dont have a media manager software and I directly open the Blackberry folder when I connect my BB to PC. So the nature of the problem is that when connected to my PC, I can see all the music and pictures on my PC but however when I disconnect my BB I cannot see any pictures or music. After fidgeting with my BB, I found that after i go to "media" than "explore" than "media card" than "show hidden files" there are hidden copies of the following folders - Black berry, files, fonts Recycler and start.app.These copies appear first and then there is a line separating them from rest of the list of icon. Under "Blackberry" copy in the "music" folder all my music is there. under pictures all my pictures are present. When I click at the non hidden "blackberry icon I get a message Unable to display/media card/blackberry.exe?

I took the phone in and the Trackball as well as the Dome switch were replaced. When I got it back, it worked perfectly... until I put the Sim card in, and it's back to square one! If I put some pressure on the sim card, it works. When I remove the sim, it works perfectly again.

Was sent away via the carphonewarehouse repair center and another phone came back. This phone has now come up with the same problem. Will not read any SD card and these cards work on other Blackberry or PC etc. I have tried all the remedies out there. Reinstalled the OS. Started the phone without the Sd card etc.

Now I can't access the media card any longer, went to Rogers and they told me "never seen that before and I should get in contact with Blackberry tech support. I did have a notice popping up for a couple of seconds reading (fatal error with the media card). I'm not receiving a GPS signal in both of these applications. (These applications use GPS signal to track your sports performance). Blackberry / Google maps do work without issues. Also refreshing GPS in the options menu works without an issue. My carrier is Proximus (Belgium), and my OS version : v6.0.0.294. Battery pull didn't work. Yesterday, when I gave the phone to my son on his birthday, it turned on and everything went alright. He was so happy with it until he discovered that the Call Button (the green one) does not work. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a blackberry bold 9780 for the last year and a half and I love it. I recently did a bbm update and shortly after that certain keys worked off and on. I contacted Rogers and they advised to to update the OS so I did. This has not helped. The next call I made to them, they advised me to take it to a rogers store for repair. I did and they informed me that they do not repair out of warranty and they sent me to a kiosk in the mall to have it repaired. According to the kiosk they were not able to fix the issue, they cleaned it, replaced the membrane and still no luck. Now the buttons that worked infrequently no longer work at all. The buttons that do not work are i, o, k,l,m,$ and delete.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor the past week or so when i try and check in on facebook places on my blackberry bold 9780 its not been working, its always worked perfect until i tried about a week or so ago, and since then ive tried nearly everyday just to see if its working but no nothing, keeps coming up with facebook error 2002 try again later. It works fine, finds my location, asks me if i want to check in, i click on check in and thats when the error message comes up, so doesnt let me finally check in. I dont know if its since ive updated to the new facebook app, i dont always use places, just now and again ,but always has worked great, until when i tried a week ago, it wouldnt let me and hasnt since. Ive got my location settings ON on options and ive refreshed GPS ,tried it with wireless on and wireless off, in many different locations, reboot phone etc but nope still the same.
