i have a blackberry curve 8520 and it wont recognise any memory card i have tryed sevral that work in other blackberrys i have also tryed a batery pull still no joy under memory option in phone it says no memory card inserted?
View 1 Repliesi own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

Anyone know what this is, if I can delete it, & what would happen if I did? Is there any way to shrink this down some?
My address book takes up quite a bit of memory; so does my calendar -- both of which were synced from Outlook. Is there any way to have the addresses/calendar data stored onto my microSD instead of the device memory?
Lastly, I noticed that when I call people using my Curve, it shows up on their caller ID as "private name, private number." Where can I change this setting? Is it in my provider's settings (which I can access online) or on the BlackBerry's settings somewhere? Also, is it possible to at least NOT have it show private when calling those on my address book, such as friends & relatives?

I can transfer media and all that , but the limit is 4GB . After I have used up 4GB of memory in the SD card , every file above this limit will be deleted .
But , the 4gb limit only happens to FAT32 isn't it ?

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter having this phone for more then half a year, I finally decided to post my complaints, now that my phone really stopped working properly. I'll bullet-point it in chronological order so as to make it clear, because there are too many problems I would like to share with you.
1. After I got the phone( firmware version 21.something), I very very liked it. When I compared it to my friend's 5800 phone (the first firmware version 11.something) though, mine didn't work really fluently. For example, when I press the button on the top of the screen, the bar just appears/disappears as opposed to nicely slides out/in as on my friend's phone. Same when closing/opening windows, mine just appears/disappears as opposed to the nice way it did on the other phone. This is of least of my concerns right now though.
2. Moreover, soon I found out how unstable the whole thing was. The phone kept freezing and crushing whenever I was using the internet or listening to music. I took special care not to install or copy any illegal stuff in it. The application folder took forever to load (all applications from Ovi store) and from time to time I got some really nasty crashes where the screen went black with some red line across it. This slowly led me to believe there was a virus in the phone. After downloading the anti-virus program no virus was detected, though................
for something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...
