I know by battery at that time is low. So, when I got back at home i tried charging it. The red led went on and after some time screen showed a battery icon that it is kinda charging and all 4 bars are grayed. Understood that the battery might be dead. Tried to turn it on but nothing. My phone has been off for the past 5 days and wen i switched it on this morning it would not switch on. I've removed the battery, put it back in and it still wont switch on. All it show is a dead battery sign. I've been charging it for the past 4 hours and it still shows the same sign. A red flashing light keeps goin on and off and i dont know what that indicates. Do i need a new battery or the phone has a fault?

I have had this new used phone for about a week.All of sudden tonight, the screen went to black, the red light came on at the top, and then the hourglass appeared. It then went to a white screen for a milisecond and the phone shut off. When I would take out the battery and put it back in, the red light comes on, the hourglass appears, and then it either goes to the white screen and shuts off or it doesn't do anything (i.e. just goes to a dark screen).

Now my Blackberry keeps restarting itself and when it get to my background it doesn't let me scroll/select anything, it just reboots itself again. I have left the battery out for around 5 minuets and then put it back it yet the problem is still occurring. It appeared to be just a newer build of OS 7.0.0 that the device came with (not 7.1). I disabled most of the languages except for English, French and Spanish as suggested in the prompts.The upgrade (33.9MB) downloaded and verified OK, and the phone started doing a backup of her current data. The last time I checked the screen it showed it was about 50% done with the backup phase, however about 30 mins later I looked again and the screen was completely off and no buttons worked at all (the charger was plugged in, so battery should have been fine).

Having said this: Today I wanted to install another browser (Opera for BB), since I don't have (and need) a BIS/BES account I installed the program through the Desktop Manager (6.1). It worked ok, but the installation seemed to be hanging. The DM was waiting for the divice to reboot I guess? My phone at that point wasn't doing anything. Only a red LED was blinking?
Now, I did something stupid may be. The DM and my phone were already for quite some time in this state. But I HAD TO leave, so I disconnected. In the assumption that my phone could be turned on...I pressed the button to get it on...nothing (of course), removing the battery and putting it back....nothing. Only the red LED light blinking four times in intervals.
After some searching on different forums, I understand that my phone cannot reboot, probably because the OS is now messed up.I've tried to install an update. When connecting my phone to the computer by USB cable, both the Device Manager and the Desktop Manager recognize my phone. The DM detects a connection problem and offers to update the software of my phone. My hapiness (this might actually work!!) was diminished when the installationprocess was canceled, because (SURPRISE!) it couldn't connect to my phone to install the update properly.

Update2: Tried it second time, left the phone for a whole night...nothing! I'm seriously considering throwing the BB out of the window...
More constructively: what to do? Turn to BB website and the support forum for help. I really don't know where to begin..
A few days ago my phone stopped working. It wouldn't switch on, there was no red light, but e battery worked in friends phone so that isn't the problem. All I want is for the phone to switch on, even if it has no contacts etc and is just like it when you get it for the first time.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8302. Yesterday the battery depleted unusually fast (with in about 2-3 hrs with hardly any use). I put it on the charger for about 3hrs. Still showed the battery symbol (top left) as dead. And the words low battery below the clock. I left it charge over night. Still same thing. I put the battery into a friends 8320 & it showed fully charged no problem at all. I can access the phone if I have it plugged into the computer or charger. But the moment I disconnect it says something along the lines of "battery drained powering down". And it turns off my phone. So I have discovered there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. So is there something wrong with the phone? Or is there something wrong with the firmware? Even when I go to the wrench Icon & check battery level from there, it say 0% for charged. What can I do?

After about a week took I out tried it yesterday to get it working for about 6 hours and no use.
It's just total dead just very very long red light flashing

Ive got a big problem with my phone. It went dead last night and i tried to charge it with my pc and all i got was the red light. Once i got it to a wall charger the phone charged for a little booted and everything. It even accepted the txts i recieved while it was off. I leave the house for a couple hours i come back and the phone is off. When i plug the phone in nothing happens not even the yellow charge light. when i unplug the phone the red light comes on for a minute but the phone wont boot ive tried battery pulls and everything but the same thing happens everytime and i have no idea what to do. Ive never had this problem with any blackberry ive ever had.

I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.
I bought a blackberry curve 9300 4 days ago and today it fully ran out of charge. I put it on charge and now it won't charge or switch on.
