BB Curve :: 9300 No Red Light
Nov 1, 2012my 9300 is completely dead. There is no red light at all, it wont turn on. I've tried removing the battery to reboot but still nothing.

Mar 21, 2011Earlier today I received a call from a number that was supposed to be blocked in my Mr Number Callblock app, but came through anyways. Ever since, my light is blinking like there is something I need to check, but I have gone in and been through every app and even the hidden folders and can not find any notifications. I have done a hard reset. I am on 5.0 currently and there are no icons at the top of the screen or anything to show me what I need to check to turn the light off.

Sep 15, 2011I am on a curve 8310 I think it is with an annoying flashing blue light. I think it's a cross between a white and blue as it's a pale blue light. I have turned off every notification I can find, email, text, facebook etc. I have deselected the LED option ( changed to none) I cannot figure how WHY this light keeps blinking. I've taken the battery out, i'm at my wits end.

Mar 9, 2012I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

Apr 24, 2010Have had my 8530 for two months now and today I noticed that anytime I push a button on my phone for any reason I get a steady red LCD light. The LCD goes dark when the backlight goes out. The battery is charged and I can make phonecalls. I don't have any outstanding messages and have used the reconcile now option just in case. I scoured the net looking for a solution and the only thing I can find is to do a battery pull or disable the LCD. I definitely don't want to disable it, and I ran across one person who posted that when she did a battery pull that her BB didn't turn back on afterward--so I'm REALLY hesitant to try that!
I haven't upgraded anything on the phone. I was listening to Pandora when this seemed to happen, but I use Pandora every day.Any suggestions/thoughts? I'll do the battery pull if I have to, but I'm hoping to find other solutions.
BB Curve 83xx :: Flashing Red Light / No Power / Curve Not Recognized By DM
Feb 2, 2010I installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?

Jun 22, 2011I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

Apr 20, 2011I've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.

Jun 25, 2012I bought a blackberry curve 9300 4 days ago and today it fully ran out of charge. I put it on charge and now it won't charge or switch on. If I take the battery out and put it back in and then put it on charge, a red light comes on for about 10-15 seconds and then nothing else happens. Ive only had it 4 days and this has never happened before.

Oct 29, 2012my b.b 9300 has been switching off on its own for the past week and then reloading. today, it did it again, got half way across and then the screen turned white. it has now gone into squared off bits with a black splodge with green edging around the splodge. what is it and how will the shop react to me taking it back. it does look like it has been dropped but, i know it hasnt. As final option they have said me: or to contact with the blackberry team (what it's impossible because the only number I've found redirect me to my carrier) or to send the device to the technical service (what I don't want).I have an Internet Plan and the Blackberry Service activated. I can also navigate perfectly, and use app like messenger, but with the GPRS speed, not the 3G.

Dec 18, 2011Yesterday Morning I put my BB Curve 9300 on charge for around an hour to get its 100% battery back as I would be traveling for a while in the car with out any source to plug my BB in, My BB was perfectly fine. Throughout the day I used BBM quite a bit and some of the games that I had installed onto my BB. Around 3pm I notice my BB was very low on battery so I put it on charge and left it for 30 minutes and returning only to find out it had not charged at all and the battery was empty> I had checked to make sure my charger was firmly in the plug socket which it was and made sure the cable had not come loose from my BB which it had not. I took the battery out of my BB and gave it a good blow and the inside of the BB too as this normally works. I put my battery back in and a solid red light came on which then faded. Usually When you put the battery back in the phone starts up and it works fine but now the red solid light will not even show.
I have tried leaving it on charge over night and that has not worked helped at all
P.S. I have had my Blackberry Curve 9300 for just a week as it was a replacement given to me by my provider when my last Blackberry failed to work.
