View 1 RepliesI have run a variety of custom roms on both phones. One of my favorites was the aosp version 2.2.1 from Wolfbreak, that allowed applications like Abobe Flashplayer 10.3 which is a large application >10 MB; to be moved to the SD card. Now what happened to this very effective button that is now shaded out in the new 2.3.3 firmware? I'm not seeing the "move to SD card" button lit up in any of the custom roms for 2.3. either. Only a few apps I was able to move to the SD, most of them cannot be moved anymore. I think that it is important for the xperia x10, which does not have the amount of on board ram than some of it's cousins like the samsung captivate for example, where the need to run apps from the SD card is basically built in with 16 GB thumb drive that's buried, and an additional expandable memory slot for users to install any size up to 32 GB micro sdhc chip, which brings up my second half of a question, I tried a couple different brands/rw speed class micro sd chips in my xperia(s) and so far I can't find a 32 GB size that either xperia will reconize. I haven't tried a class 2 yet, maybe that's the problem. In any case I noted the x10 can't handle anything larger than 16 GB. If there is a 32 GB (the white pages say it handles 32 but doesn't show anything else) that works, I'd like to here from any user who has had such success, what brand, class/speed they have found that works.
View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently I've bought curve 9300 - so far it looks to be the best phoned I had so far.But yesterday I finally decided to install desktop software and check some other functions of the phone. And that's when I found a problem. I haven't installed ny media card, but there's some free space showing on the built memory.I've wanted to upload a couple of multimedia files ( .mp3 - using "file" button, I'm not using Itunes, Windows media etc).I got an info that maximum allowed file size has been exceeded (I'm not sure it's excat phrase as I had to translate it from Polish). What's wrong? I'm pretty darn sure that file I wanted to upload is smaller than free space (mp3 of around 5MB).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to OS 6 on my Curve 9300 3g, (on the advice of a BB rep) and ever since my device memory has been low. When it was on OS5 it had about 90mb of free memory, now even after a reboot I' m lucky to have between 30 to 34mb. Now Web pages close unexpectedly and cannot use the tabbed browsing at all. I only a couple of small apps left on the device as I have deleted most of them already. I upgraded the OS using the desktop software, and all seemed to have worked OK. Have I missed something?, was there install files I should have cleared?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to access pictures that are on my card, they were taken with my previous phone. With that phone, it had a basic explorer-type interface but it looks like it's supposed to add them automatically with my Blackberry curve 9300. My videos are there, as are my ringtones but not the photos.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a Curve 9300 which I lost, I bought a new one which is quite different to my original one which I assume is because the software will be newer? Anyway on my old 9300 the app world memory was massive which I thought was my memory card but now on this newer 9300 the app world won't use my memory card to store apps, just the very measly 256MB, is there any way I can make it use my memory card on app world?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm thinking about buying a bold 9000 but my main concern is the memory, as I would like to use it as an iPod also. I hear that the maximum memory depends on which software it is running but how do I know before I buy it.. I don't know anything about blackberries, I'm a newbie! the phone is off ebay and the seller doesn't know either.
I have a Curve 8520 and the volume is stuck on maximum. I have tried many of the obvious things:
Media-Options but audio boost is off and I don't see any other option that would help. The volume keys on the side of the phone do not work anymore for some reason. I even cut the material with a scalpel to see if pressing the actual sensor would allow me to reduce volume. Needless to say it didn't.
I have tried using the keyboard on the phone and the volume control key (also a $ sign) but it didn't help either.
I just purchased a Blackberry Curve 8330. How long should it be charged for the first time to assure maximum battery life?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've got a few questions about my AT&T Curve 8310...I was looking through "Options > Applications" and saw that the app that took the most memory was "Content Store." Anyone know what this is, if I can delete it, & what would happen if I did? Is there any way to shrink this down some?
My address book takes up quite a bit of memory; so does my calendar -- both of which were synced from Outlook. Is there any way to have the addresses/calendar data stored onto my microSD instead of the device memory?
Lastly, I noticed that when I call people using my Curve, it shows up on their caller ID as "private name, private number." Where can I change this setting? Is it in my provider's settings (which I can access online) or on the BlackBerry's settings somewhere? Also, is it possible to at least NOT have it show private when calling those on my address book, such as friends & relatives?
I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had the G4 for a couple of months now. Today was the first time I used it outdoors. The weather was completely cloudy with some fog. When I was taking pictures of my car, I could't really see anything. I unchecked auto and turned brightness to maximum. It was slightly better, but still not good. All I could see was the outline of the car. I then pulled out my Samsung Note 5 and it had no problems showing me a bright image of my car while taking pictures. Is there some way to increase the brightness on the G4 beyond the maximum?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhy is it that the volume sound of my Nokia N9 is not audible(sounds very low even when it shows is at maximum). I need to turn the volume up so I can hear my calls and alarm.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a BB 9700 Bold. I was testing the data transfer speed of it using an app called "NetWorkSpeed" from the app store. No matter how fast my network connection was, it seemed like the Bold was capped at an average maximum speed of around 250 kbps, both uploads or downloads. This is using either a 3G connection, or my home Wi-Fi. My home Wi-Fi should be able to do 6000 kbps downloads, and 800 kbps uploads; but the Bold never got anywhere near those. Now this is a speed test only done to the device, not to a tethered computer or anything like that. A tethered computer seems to be able to transfer faster through the Bold than the Bold can transfer to itself. Is this a real limitation with the Bold, or is something else going on here?
BTW, I tethered my PC to my Bold, using the Bold as its modem, and I was able to get 1.9 Mbps/330 kbps with it. Not as fast as my home Wi-Fi, but respectable. But much, much faster than the Blackberry can transfer to itself.
How to increase the maximum sms messaging as after typing in and consuming 1st page for the text message, it will automatically have the mms settings which will not work for me. Also accessibility settings is grayed out and cannot be chosen..

Is there a maximum limit (dimensions or filesize) for the wallpaper on a Z2?
I have made a wallpaper that is 5400x1920 and is 1.16mb. I made it that wide so that when scrolling I get a different image for each of the 5 screens that I use. Whats happening is the image shows and scrolls across like it is supposed to but it "flashes" between the image and a black screen.
Recently I've noticed I'll be in the middle of the call with the in call volume on max (which is very much needed on this phone...I don't have hearing problems ). Then every now and then the volume drops to 1/3 of maximum and I have to hold the volume up to bring it back to max.
(I've only seen references to ringing volume changing erratically, not in call volume) . My phone is rooted, but with stock ROM.
