BB Curve :: 9300 Keeps Disconnecting From Wireless Hub
Jun 4, 2011
I setup wireless connection on the device fine and it connected to my BT Home Hub 2.0 but after a while using the internet it would disconnect and restart my hub. I have tried to change the encryption on the hub but again I get the same problem. This Blackberry is the only problem I have wirelessly, I have several laptops and consoles that connect wirelessly fine.
I bought my blackberry 9300 curve about a year ago, but since two months, my blackberry crashes a lot. I was running on the newest os 6 version, but when it kept crashing I downgraded it to v5.0.0.977. But it still crashes. Today I figured out that if I turn off my wireless connection it won't crash.
Every night I leave my S6 on the wireless charger, in the morning its always around 90% full, and not charging. Does the wireless charging take it up to 100% then stop charging, not even doing a trickle charge?
I just got the Curve 9300. I can't seem to sync the contacts and calendar with my Mac's BB Desktop Manager. It shows the message, "... turn off wireless synchronization by opening Address Book on the device... etc." There isn't such an option available.
I have just taken possession of my very first blackberry, and the instructions are minimal. How do I disconnect from the internet? I have just been pressing and holding the escape button, is that all I do? Are there any icons on screen that show if you are still connected?
I am using BB Curve 8520, I use gprs which normally works fine. But gprs generally gets disconnected while I move up and down in my office using the lift. i.e. when the mobile network gets disconnected/connected, internet connection fails to work. It starts working fine again if I do a reboot of the BB, which generally takes minutes.
My curve started disconnecting calls yesterday. SMS, MMS, BBM all work perfectly fine but I am unable to make outgoing calls without it disconnecting, and I must pick up before the second ring if there is an incoming call. If I reregister my phone, I am usually able to make one successful call before it stops working again. I have reloaded the software, and taken out the battery and SIM card. Nothing seems to work.
Yeah well I just got home. The mobile network has been going off on me for quite a while now. Gets annoying. I have to turn the connection on manually every 10 minutes! Any ideas on how to fix this or why it is happening? I had 2 bars of bettery left when this started.
I just picked up a MiFi 4G device and I carry it at all times. However since it has a cap on data per month I want it to be secondary to several other unlimited WiFi networks such as my office WiFi, home WiFi, free WiFi hotspots, etc. Is there any work around to make the MiFi wireless (or any permanent wireless network) 2nd to all other recognized networks? This is the ideal set-up for my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 WiFi. I don't want to have to turn the MiFi on and off constantly, I want it on in the background as a seamless secondary option. I appreciate any insight and find it odd that you cannot prioritize networks. Meaning if I "forgot this network" and start over will the 1st joined or most recent joined become primary when there are multiple networks available?
I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9300. 4 days ago I stopped receiving e-mails through the wireless connection(Movistar Argentina) but I can still send messages perfectly. I also can browse the internet through EDGE/3G, make/receive phone calls & SMS and any other function of the device is operational. If I turn on the WiFi connection I start to receive all the e-mails perfectly.I re-sent the service books (which were not either received until I turned on WiFi), re-register the device, power boot it, checked that the accounts are validated, upgrade the OS to 6.0, etc. The problem is still there: e-mails don't reach the unit through the wireless connection (they only do through WiFi)
i have got a blackberry curve 9380 ,,and it is not getting registered for the wireless network through host routing tables.i have tried all sorts of methods but still not recieving any confirmation message from the other side.
I'm trying to use my wife's 8530 as a wireless modem for my laptop. Data plan turned on through Koodo - fine. Run BB desktop, connect the phone, select wireless internet - get a message that "the radio is not turned on"..
Need to turn off wireless synch in my Contacts-followed the BB instructions-Can't find the Wireless Synchronization field to change or clear. Desperately need to psych COntacts in BB with PC as I have many duplicates.
im on o2 with a bb curve 8520 and im trying to update to os5 i dont have a data cable so was looking to update through the wireless update feature.I know this can be done as i have read web pages and seen vids but it doesnt work for me it says no updates available. I spoke to the rubbish cs at 02 who told me it isnt possible to wireless update your os on a bb curve 8520.
I have seen on the web that the phone can be turned in to a wireless hotspot but I can not find how to do it on the phone.Does any one know it if can be done and what I need to do to make it a wireless hotspot.Am using a 9380 with 7.0 bundle2220 (v7.0.0.513, platform 9.32.0.51) software.
Sync with Outlook is not working. So, updated to version 6.0 and keep getting directed to an options menu and told to "enable wireless syncronization" but there is no such option that I can find anywere. Wasted the day so far...
I have had the 8900 for many months and I have been stumped with this question: Why does the “wireless upgrade” NEVER have any updates when I know there are updates available (5.0).
I use a mac, and I downloaded the recent upgrade (4.6.1.319) through the desktop manager. So why does the wireless upgrade never has any upgrades available?
So ever since I updated my phone to the new 6.0 software version, my BBM and my wireless internet won't work. I've tried taking the battery out, restarting the phone, excetra, but nothing is working. I only got it about a month ago, so I'm extremely confused as to why it has stopped working.
I tried to upgrade my software for my BB CUrve 9300, wirelessly but now the phone enters a reset loop with the message:
Abnormal reset detected during update. Press any key to return to pre-update configuration
I have tried everything, pulling the battery, the sim card, the memory card but its still on the loop. I found a similar post from 2010 below which is the same problem but no resolution was made.[URL]...
My internet contract with Comcast is over, and I have a BB9550 with Verizon with unlimited data access.I'm wondering can I use BB9550 as a regular modem and connect it a wireless router, then connect my laptop to the router?
I am trying to turn off wireless synchronisaiton of my address book on BES but it is not allowing me to do so. I have gone to CONTACTS > OPTIONS > DESKTOP > WIRELESS SYNCHRONISATION > SELECTED "NO" > WHEN I COME TO PRESS "SAVE" IT DOESNT ALLOW IT. IF I TRY TO EXIT IT STATES "CHANGES MADE! SAVE/DISCARD/CANCEL". If i select "SAVE". It doesnt allow me to exit and doesnt take effect?
Thus the BB Curve 8520 can't detect wireless from laptop? Because I try to share my wi-fi using connectify. It seems the 8520 can't detect but my iPhone can detect it.
Up until two days ago I could connect without any problems to my home wireless connection however now every time I try it says it failed to require an IP address. I have tried rebooting it and the other tricks that usually work such as turning on and off the connections but nothing is working.

I recently bought a blackberry curve 8330 for Verizon wireless off eBay I am unable to makes or receive calls and when I try to take a picture on my phone it says the camera has been disabled by your system administrator. This is my first blackberry but I have messed around with it enough to be somewhat familiar with
