BB Bold :: 9650 Will Sync Addresses And Other Data But Fails To Complete The Sync With Calendar?
Jul 5, 2011I have a newly arisen problem where my BB Bold 9650 will synch addresses and other data but fails to complete the synch with calendar. The pop up message from Intellisync says "connector specific error" I have tried reloading the start up disc but no change.

Aug 25, 2011I am having a problem downloading media onto my blackberry bold 9780. I have successfuly installed the CD that comes with the blackberry and the USB cable goes in fine to my blackberry. But then in the last step, it asks for my blackberry password. I believed this to be the 4 digit pin I use to lock my phone, but this failed. I tried other passwords that I use for other various things but it didn't work, and it wiped everything off my phone. After contacting my service provider (o2) they suggested I try changing my 4 digit pin because this is definitely the password it requires. I changed it, but again it didn't work. I was wondering if someone could tell me which password the blackberry needs so I can start putting music onto my blackberry?

Sep 3, 2010I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

Now when I delete mails from my mail box from the PC, these mails should also, simultaneously, get deleted from the BB--- correct? This is not happening(was happening on my last BB). The BB keeps accumulating the mail and I have to delete them using the BB delete option. I have gone to EDIT option on my set up email setting and in the Sync options have ticked the DELETE option---- no success. As a result BB gets flooded with 100s of mail. What do I need to do to have the BB mails deleting simultaneously when they are deleted from the same mail box, from my PC....

Nov 5, 2011i have been tryinbg to sync my contacts with my outlook. i have nearly 400 contacts on my bold and when i plug in to blackberry desktop and sync my contacts, it only says 30 contacts to sync. I thought maybe it was my bb desktop/outlook. i downloaded google sync and tried to sync that way. doing that on my phone still only recognizes 30. i went thought all my menus on my phone trying to see if the 30 contacts that sync have something selected that the others dont. It seems so weird, the contacts that sync have nothing in common.

May 25, 2010So, I just upgraded to a new Bold 9700 w/ Desktop Mgr 5.0.1.
I understand the complications some experience with this, and have diagnosed nearly everything (firewalls, virus protection, USB connection works, full/clean uninstall of old DTM, etc, etc.).
The unit is recognized by my PC and DTM. I can successfully search and download software updates, but I continue to get this error about "Your computer must be connected to the internet to perform this operation." It's maddening!
I use a stand alone PC running XP and using Outlook 2003. I'm not on any network. Don't use BES. I transferred all data from an old 8130 to this with no problem, I just can't get the initial sync to happen.
The only remaining solutions I've read about (although don't really understand) are:
1. ensuring COMM ports 80 and/or 443 are open to the device. How exactly do I do this? Really, I have no clue what that means.
2. Finding an old version of Destop Manager (4.2 and earlier). Got a URL handy?
3. changing my bberry router configuration. This sounds drastic, but at least it's a workaround.

May 27, 2012I performed a Sync using Blackberry Desktop and now the Bold 9000 is "dead". The battery was fully charged prior to the sync and the unit was working properly. Following the sync the unit display went blank and the unit will not turn on. I have removed the battery and replaced it with another known fully charged battery and I stll cannot get a system boot sequence to start. I have attempted to re-insert the sync cable and connect to the computer but the unit is still dead.I have also tried the charging cable but to no avail.
