BB Bold 9700 :: Bold 9700 & Outlook 2007 - How To Sync To Get Same Emails Same Time
Sep 3, 2010I have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.

Feb 20, 2010I'm having trouble pairing my Bold 9700 with my computer. I did it once, but had to take it off, and now I can't redo it. I have Windows 7 64-bit. When I try to pair it with my computer, it says it cannot find the driver and only recognizes it as a modem. It doesn't recognize that I'm actually pairing a Blackberry device. As a result, I cannot add it in the Desktop Manager. Got the desktop manager to recognize it. Seems like that was just luck, and everything does seem to work. However, my computer says there is problems with the device as it cannot find 2 drivers. It actually doesn't work at all. It's clearly driver related. It only recognizes it as a modem and a bluetooth remote. Nothing blackberry related. (When I use the USB, it's fine). Just another small problem, every time (or almost) that I connect my phone to my computer and open the Desktop Manager, it tells me some sort of Chinese character support needs to be updated. However, when I tell it ok, and it rechecks to see what needs to be updated, it says no new updates are available.

Aug 22, 2010Hey, i recently got a new laptop and paired my bold 9700 to it. I'm sending it back and getting a replacement for it, so i haven't uploaded my itunes yet, but i was playing the music over bluetooth from my phone. I get this little popup control menu (See Image), but it doesn't actually allow me to control the music. Is there any fix for this, am i doing something wrong? If Necessary, i've got a bold 9700 (fromt AT&T) running OS 5.0.0.602, and my laptop is an alienware m17x r1, with win 7 home premium.

When I attempt to pair the device, I receive the error message "device driver was not successfully installed" and "Bluetooth peripheral device- no driver found." The properties display 2 missing drivers. Can someone advise me from where I can obtain these missing drivers. I am using Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28.

Mar 18, 2010I have just got a Bold 9700 and am really starting to like this phone. But I cannot get the bluetooth to work properly. It will pair with my devices but will not connect to them. It says connection failed or connection not supported. It will not connect to my cars built in bluetooth either, I have a new 2010 galaxy and it accepts the cars passkey but will not connect. I Really need my phone to connect to my car. When I go to my paired device list and click on a device I do not get a connect option, which I have been told to use. I am on vodafone in the UK and have contacted them to see if they can help but they tell me they do not help with Blackberry's (funny that when they take my money for it) so I am unsure where to contact now for help.

Aug 2, 2010I have a Jaguar X-Type on which the bluetooth system appears to remain active for several minutes after the car is switched off. The effect of this is that the phone remains linked to the car until the car system eventually shuts down.If I receive a call to my mobile during this period, the phone rings but I am not able to hear anything through the phone earpiece. How can I disconnect from the car bluetooth in order to receive any incoming calls that coincide with the above period. This has caused some embarassment on a number of occasions.

I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.

I'm trying to cut down on the number of calendars that my Bold tells me it has, but can't seem to get the CONTACT LISt to wirelessly sync with Live.com If it sync's with Yahoo, it creates multiple entries on my BB and I need my Yahoo address book for my Messenger AND how do I get it to stop showing with Facebooks' Calendar? I Don't use that and it won't stop syncing all my information onto my Facebook account.

May 25, 2010So, I just upgraded to a new Bold 9700 w/ Desktop Mgr 5.0.1.
I understand the complications some experience with this, and have diagnosed nearly everything (firewalls, virus protection, USB connection works, full/clean uninstall of old DTM, etc, etc.).
The unit is recognized by my PC and DTM. I can successfully search and download software updates, but I continue to get this error about "Your computer must be connected to the internet to perform this operation." It's maddening!
I use a stand alone PC running XP and using Outlook 2003. I'm not on any network. Don't use BES. I transferred all data from an old 8130 to this with no problem, I just can't get the initial sync to happen.
The only remaining solutions I've read about (although don't really understand) are:
1. ensuring COMM ports 80 and/or 443 are open to the device. How exactly do I do this? Really, I have no clue what that means.
2. Finding an old version of Destop Manager (4.2 and earlier). Got a URL handy?
3. changing my bberry router configuration. This sounds drastic, but at least it's a workaround.

Feb 17, 2010I have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."

I have managed to get both of my e-mail addresses on it without any problem, I have also managed to sync it with my BT Yahoo contacts list but for the life of me I cannot get it to sync with my online BT Yahoo calendar which has 10 years worth of past and future entries on it. I am using BB Manager 5.01.28. BT won't offer any support because they say it is a Yahoo issue. There doesn't appear to be any Yahoo support and my provider Vodafone has been completly useless and has promised that one of its "advanced technical team" will phone me back on two occasion but never do. Can anyone help please. i'm beginning to wish I had stuck with my old Nokia 6310.

Aug 23, 2011I have a problem to sync my contact list using Blackberry Desktop Software. the problem is only 29 out of my 300+ contacts are synced. In my BB phone i noticed that in "Contacts/Options" there are two Contact Lists both with the name "Desktop". the first one has 29 entries and the "Wireless Synchronization" option is available but for the second contact list which has the rest of my contacts, the "Wireless Synchronization" is not available ! it seems that Blackberry Desktop Software can not sync with the second Contact List because of this.
