View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm missing a feature that *used* to be available ... you could check a box which said, paraphrased: "Don't send emails to my handset while I'm connect to my desktop" on the Desktop Redirector, and I always used that option. I can't find it anymore since Desktop Manager v6.

Now I am actually receiving BBM messages from the "new owner" asking me who I am.
Now my friend is wondering how she can compel her Provider into blocking PIN from BB servers so that the "new owner" can't access sensitive info she kept on phone.
Is there any way I can suspend my recently purchased applecare in case of theft of the phone? Just until a new phone is purchased and applecare is transferred.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI keep receiving between 2 to3 SMS's per day from a user just identified by a number (namely, 70371). The messages contain a URL address. These 50 to 70 messages per month serve no purpose but to increase my phone bill. I have asked my carrier (Movistar), who has told me there is no way to block the sender (obviously: my carrier is happy with the fact that 10% of my phone bill comes from these SMS messages). Any way to block a specific sender?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just came back from a week in Spain and found a very expensive mobile phone bill. My Blackberry Bold had been automatically connecting to internet and downloading my email by phone in roaming mode. I had expected email was only active in a free wireless area but it seems this was not true, it also used phone calls to download mail.
How can I block that without doing something as brutal as removing the SIM card? Other kinds of phones have settings to do that but I haven't found these settings in Blackberry Bold.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at 1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages. It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy 9700 recently started not letting me view my new text messages. For example, sometimes I get forwarded chain texts and it won't let me view them, it'll show a random block of text and that's it. And if I try to reply to it, it won't show me my reply, it's only doing this with a few contacts, but it's still extremely annoying.I've tried uninstalling my third party apps and it didn't fix it, is it a setting I have to change or does anyone know anything?
