BB Bold :: Battery Indicator Shows As Nearly Fully Discharged Despite Showing As Partially?
Jul 16, 2011
I believe there is a battery circut problem with my Bold 9000Freshly charged batteries when inserted into my Bold 9000, the battery indicator shows as nearly fully discharged despite showing as partially or fully charged on other phonesThe battery will not charge in my Phone but will charge in other phonesI am convinced there is a battery circut problem with either a leak/short or high resistance element in the circut.
I heard that for some phones its possible to have a green led indicator come on when the phone is finished charging. I was wondering if its possible for my 9700 and if so, how can I do that.
I just bought a brand new Blackberry 8350i today and I don't think it's charging. The lightning bolt shows up on the battery indicator but then the bolt is gone after 5 seconds. Is it still charging? The user manual doesn't explain it much.
I have a BB Curve 8302. Yesterday the battery depleted unusually fast (with in about 2-3 hrs with hardly any use). I put it on the charger for about 3hrs. Still showed the battery symbol (top left) as dead. And the words low battery below the clock. I left it charge over night. Still same thing. I put the battery into a friends 8320 & it showed fully charged no problem at all. I can access the phone if I have it plugged into the computer or charger. But the moment I disconnect it says something along the lines of "battery drained powering down". And it turns off my phone. So I have discovered there wasn't anything wrong with the battery. So is there something wrong with the phone? Or is there something wrong with the firmware? Even when I go to the wrench Icon & check battery level from there, it say 0% for charged. What can I do?
I have had my X6 16GB for just over a year on a contract with O2, now I've not really had any problems with it, few bugs etc but nothing major. Recently out of the blue however it's decided it doesn't want to charge, the phone will show the charging indicator when the charger is plugged in however it will not charge the battery, then the battery will completely drain and I can no longer power the phone on.
The phone has a 2 year warranty and has just under a year left so it was sent back to O2 who have just said it is "Beyond economical repair" and sent me a broken phone back which is no use to me at all. I've had Nokia's for as long as I can remember but I'm not really quite sure what I'm to do with this one as at the moment it's a useless paper weight.
Whenever I do a battery pull my battery indication after reinsertion reads 0% and shows the battery as red. My battery indicator before the battery pull will read anywhere from 80% to 50% but after the battery pull the indicator changes to read zero and is shown in red. If I don't charge the phone it will die even though prior to the battery pull the charge was fine at 80% or so...
I'm pulling the battery because of memory shortages. I HAVE replaced the battery and I still get the same problem. Pulling the battery after this happens changes nothing. I've pulled the battery numerous times afterwards and I never get the battery indicator to read what it did before the battery pull. I don't dare pull the battery if I'm not near my charger as the phone will die in a matter of minutes...
I am having blackberry 9300 which is bought new 1 month back. Immediately after purchasing the same I found that battery is getting discharged after full charging. Battery is getting discharged fully with in 12 hours. I tried changing the battery but the problem still exists. I took the phone to the concerned dealer who said that there is nothing wrong in phone and returned back the same. I am located in Kuwait in middle east.
Since I have ios 5.1, the battery is discharged way too fast. I hate this and do not think it is the best phone if not it can be used when more need, that the battery is discharged before the end of the day.
It's been 3-4 months that I have brought iPhone5S. I am also facing overheating and bettery dranage issue with my iPhone5S. It's getting damm hot and restart it self. once my phone shutdown in this scenario, it never started till all of my bettery is not drained. After that I need to charge the bettery again and my phone is started. I have faced this issue twicely in last week.Â
If I am tying to start my iPhone during this situation then some weared screen shown on the iPhone. Sometime it shows apple logo with half yellow and white screen while sometimes it shows startup screen and then never started. My iPhone continuously being hotter untill my whole bettery is not discharged.Â
Lost media files from internal storage. After complete discharge of my battery all pictures and video from gallery saved on internal storage were gone - is it possible to get them back (restore)?
Normally I charge my battery on my bold 9780 every other day. To my supprise the battery indicator stayed on 100% for 3-4 days until it suddenly closed down while using it, saying battery was low...(not exact message). I charged it to 50% but after a day it is reading 50% still.
A week ago I realised that my phone was heating up rapidly and my battery was being drained alarmingly fast before days end. I used to go a whole day and would only hit 50% battery use. After some research, reading and testing of my own, I can say with some certainty that after turning off the push notification and location services on my phone battery life has dramatically improved returning to pre update performance and the overheating has ceased.
The battery level indicator is faulty from day one. It shows sufficient balance but suddenly I find the phone switches off. When I try to switch on the phone, I get a message"battery drained out"This has to be a software problem like in iPhone 4 and RIM must address it by bringing a software update.
When I plug it in to recharge my iPhone 3G shows a plug, a plus sign, and the lightning bolt below a red level indicator on the battery screen. It won't start up. I have plugged it into many different Apple recharge cables, plugs and outlets. It doesn't seem to recharge anymore. Fortunately this iPhone was replaced by a new iPhone, but I was planning to use it for audio books, alarm clock and camera. Any way to get it to recharge again?
My Blackberry Bold shows the small letters CM over the battery icon when the charger is connected but it will not charge. I've tried removing the battery putting it back in, I've tried 3 chargers, but the battery just continued to drain until it finally went into red. I've been "googling" all day and cannot find any reference to what I'm seeing.
You unplug your phone after charging it but the indicator still shows as though the phone is still connected to the charger. The only way to get this back to normal again is to power cycle the phone. Plugging it back in and unplugging it again will not make it go away once this has happened.
I actually dropped my phone in the sink while the tap was running and water got into it. I quickly took out the battery and dried it off and threw it into a bowl of rice and let it sit there for about a full day. Now when I tried turning it on, nothing happened.... didn't even boot, nothing. After about 2 days of it sitting in rice, it actually shows a RED X through a battery and I'm not sure what that means... does it mean the battery is dead, or there is severe water damage. The way I thought about it is if the screen shows an image... then the phone must be working... because its displaying an image, so I'm leaning towards thinking the battery must be completely depleted.
I am currently using ip4, iOS5.1. The problem I am having now is when my phone is fully charged, it just can't last long. I left my phone idle and without using it, it will automatically turned off. When I turned it on, the battery shown a value (example: 16 %), after a while, it shows higher battery life value (example: 32%). Then after some time, it automatically turned off again. Is this battery problem or software problem?
Need Help/Suggestion from Mobile Gurus right here .I have 1 Year Old N73 ME and I mainly use it for Calling and Texting. Very Occasionally I use it for Music/Gaming and Browsing the Web.The phone is completely in excellent condition
The problem is that: While charging ONLY the Battery gets too much HOT and it never shows Battery is Full (Charged it for Max 1 Hour 45 Minutes) This problem suddenly appeared, so I formatted the Memory Card as well as Hard Format/Reset the Phone, but still the Battery is heating too much
After disconnecting the Phone from Charger, the Battery is FULL and I can use it without any problem and as usual. The Talktime right now is around 2.5 Hours and Standby time is around 2-3 Days
