The battery level indicator is faulty from day one. It shows sufficient balance but suddenly I find the phone switches off. When I try to switch on the phone, I get a message"battery drained out"This has to be a software problem like in iPhone 4 and RIM must address it by bringing a software update.

The problem is that my battery indicator stays full all the time. Battery life is OK (2-3 days) but is very annoying cause I don't know the battery level. It pass from max level directly to 1line and shortly the phone switch off.I tried 3 kind of firmwares (including last one 410.21.010), charging phone in different ways, different chargers, hard reset etc. and nothing.The phone is new (2 weeks of use) but no warranty.Any solution?

And I have charged for more than 2 hours,but the indicator and percentage are still in the same level.But my phone has been charged,since I can use my phone for nearly 1 and half day with that same level.If I restart my phone ,the indicator and percentage are changed .I am weird with this condition.
Because I don't know when will my iphone goes down.
I heard that for some phones its possible to have a green led indicator come on when the phone is finished charging. I was wondering if its possible for my 9700 and if so, how can I do that.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just noticed today that the trackpad on my phone has become super sensitive, but not for scrolling, only when pressing down to open apps. It's weird. It seems like it's sunken down and not level with the other buttons anymore and actually tilts down towards the keyboard. I've only had this phone for about a month and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it is truly a faulty trackpad. If so then its back to AT&T for a replacement!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 9700 and over the last 2 days when I try to make a call the phone switches between headphones and headset and if I try to select options and activate headset the phone completely ignores the request and keeps switching between functions , the only way I can make a call is to put ipod headphones into the jack port and then I can select activate handset and the phone will let me make a call normally , however if I pull the headphones out during a call it will start to switch between functions again .
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy observation is that REBOOT issue some how related to battery level reader s/w or something. because as soon as battery level goes below 80%(approx), device start rebooting and after some reboots it shows battery level in "red'.
Remove battery put back and 80% cases reboot cycle stops and battery level is normal. However it remains for some time only. try to make/recv call and it starts rebooting again.

Whenever I do a battery pull my battery indication after reinsertion reads 0% and shows the battery as red. My battery indicator before the battery pull will read anywhere from 80% to 50% but after the battery pull the indicator changes to read zero and is shown in red. If I don't charge the phone it will die even though prior to the battery pull the charge was fine at 80% or so...
I'm pulling the battery because of memory shortages. I HAVE replaced the battery and I still get the same problem. Pulling the battery after this happens changes nothing. I've pulled the battery numerous times afterwards and I never get the battery indicator to read what it did before the battery pull. I don't dare pull the battery if I'm not near my charger as the phone will die in a matter of minutes...
I am generally satisfied with Google's Camera app for the Nexus 5; however, there is one feature I could really use - a Horizon Level indicator. I am taking most of my pictures using a 16:9 aspect ratio/6 megapixels setting, and for landscape pictures a Horizon Level indicator would keep them aligned. I have looked at a couple of apps which include this option (Camera Awesome and HD Camera), but from what I can see, neither provide a high image resolution/16:9 combination - in both cases I think it is around 2 megapixels.
View 2 Replies View Relatedquick question regarding the LED coverage indicator.I currently have 2 bb's a curve 8310 and of course a bold 9700. i have set both bb's to have the LED coverage indicator on. the curve 8310 LED constantly blinks green while the 9700 only blinks while im on a call or if i am using my bbm. the BOLD always has full bars of coverage so im not sure if they changed the way the led indicator works or if there is just a problem with my 9700.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Bold 9700. I have an unread message indicator (little yellow envelope +3) on my screen, but I don't have any unread messages in my list.
So far, I've tried the following:
1. Typed "u" to search for unread messages and it tells me that I have no unread messages.
2. I went into my email and selected "mark prior unopened" and still nothing.
3. I've tried to restart the phone the phone. When I do, I end up with even more unread messages that I have to select -- over and over again! I can always get it back down to 3, but no fewer.
4. The date and time on my phone appears to be correct.
5. I have no "saved" messages on my phone.
6. I have no new or saved voicemail on my phone.
Normally I charge my battery on my bold 9780 every other day. To my supprise the battery indicator stayed on 100% for 3-4 days until it suddenly closed down while using it, saying battery was low...(not exact message). I charged it to 50% but after a day it is reading 50% still.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently got my Blackberry Bold 9700 and I used to use crunchsms on my Blackberry Curve 8520 so I didn't mind the message indicator whenever I got an email because crunchsms had it's own message indicator. I now realize that whenever I receive a text and email it results to the same message indicator. I have done: Messages > Options > Inbox Settings and have unclicked my email account so that the message inbox remain separate. I don't understand how I have the latest OS version yet have to deal with this. Is there someone who can help? Or is there a theme that I can download that separates the sms/mms and email complete so that I may get two entire different message notifications?

I'm an iPhone switcher and I'm kicking myself that I didn't make the switch months ago!Nevertheless - one small issue! Whenever I get a new email message (I've set up my Gmail account on the phone) the notification icon beside the envelope doesn't appear. I'm getting the mega-small icon in the top bar, but the red asterisk isn't appearing on my larger Gmail icon (the one that appears on the bottom dock thing.What's confusing me is that it IS appearing on the 'Messages' icon. Any clues as to why this is happening there but not on y Gmail mail icon? I've looked through the settings but can't seem to find anything.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi have a nokia 5130-c2 xm for about a year and a half but i only used it for about 11 months but the other months it went for repairs 3 times. 1st time it displayed a massage "contact service"(needed a firmware upgrade from version 6.6). 2nd & 3rd time it never wanted to boot like when windows on your pc never loaded. Now the 4th time is near, not even a month has passed since i went to collect my repaired phone. Would you say the device its self is faulty or just the firmware. I never went to sites that could send me viruses or use any other themes(custom) just wanna know if i should request a new phone since i still have 6 months of warranty left.

I was a little puzzled yet intrigued.I tried to google it and nothing came up. Also when I checked bbm on that person that I sent the text to, the icon appeared again. Its just a verticle rectangle with a white box in the top of portion of the man rectangle. Again the icon looks like a cellphone.

- Turning off the option "LED Coverage Indicator"
- Under "Edit Profiles", I turned off LED for every alert
- Under "Manage Connections" I turned on and off Bluetooth (I do not have Bluetooth). I also turn of and on all connections.
- I removed the battery with the Blackberry on and then removed the battery after first shutting off the Blackberry
Is this a known problem with the 9700? Short of returning it, is there anything else I can do?
I did all the relevant updates, desktop software to v6, and phone to 5.0.0.862, but since plugging the phone in, and then taking it out once it had done all the updates, everytime i turn the phone off then on, or battery pull, i recieve a new sms message indicator. However, the message that shows up isnt new at all, EVERYTIME, it is the last message recieved in just one conversation with one person, whether they sent it, or i did.its starting to get annoying as, if this is occuring what else could be.
Plus everytime i plug phone into laptop, and i then go into Blackberry messenger, all the conversations have been wiped and i dont seem to get updates from people.
My BB Bold won't charge and when I plug it in the LED shows pink?

Having the same issues as everyone else for the dropped calls, SMS, etc.I am also having a small issue with the New Message Inditcators.When I get a new email, I can go to the main message folder which shows all the messages. If I view it there, the new message indicator for that folder disappears, but it stays on the other folder (gmail, SMS, etc). Is there a way to get it to clear like on my old Curve? Also, want help with changing the sound for my voicemail notifier. I can't find it anywhere in my sound profiles. Can anyone find it? I want to change it.

Yesterday, I picked up the phone and there was no red indicator light blinking -- however, when I touched my mouse I realized that there had been an incoming message on my BlackBerry Messenger sitting there for about 3 hours. I did not pick up my BlackBerry sooner because I did not see any red light when I walked into the room during that 3-hour period. What can I do to make sure this red light blinks forever until I finally notice it and review the message?
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe problem I am having is that when I receive an email, I will open it, read it if need be and either leave it as is or go back to the home screen. A few seconds later the email indicator shows back up as a new message, like if I havent read the message. If I retort back to opening it again, a few secs later, the indicator pops back up. So in order to get rid of the problem all together, I have to simply delete the message which takes care of the problem.
Is there a way I can get rid of this problem without always having to delete my messages? I have tried deleting my email account and adding it back, but the problem in fact remains. I have gone thru the options menu to email setting and changed some things in there just to see if that would fix it. But nope, the problem still remains. Can someone please tell me what the problem could be and how this can finally go away? thanks in advance.
I believe there is a battery circut problem with my Bold 9000Freshly charged batteries when inserted into my Bold 9000, the battery indicator shows as nearly fully discharged despite showing as partially or fully charged on other phonesThe battery will not charge in my Phone but will charge in other phonesI am convinced there is a battery circut problem with either a leak/short or high resistance element in the circut.
