Feb 5, 2012my blackberry it says JVM error, and suddenly it all bbm contacts, email, contact phone and I lost the contents of memory card. so are all the ring tones from RIM. restore these ring tones? i'm a blackberry 9780 users, OS 6.0 2115 bundle.

Oct 13, 2011Updated the OS on Bold 9700 to 6.0 2534. The upgrade was successful but I now have a much reduced set of ringtone options. In reality the choices available are now all more suited to message alerts rather than call alerts. How do I recover the call alert ringtone options that were previously available to me; the current choices available are not fit for purpose.

Jul 31, 2012Running on xt910 stock 2.3.5 (73.30) in eastern EU.
I noticed that after connecting my phone to my computer and choosing USB Mass storage mode my custom ringtones (/media/ dir. on the internal SD card) associations to contacts and global ringtones/notifications settings are lost. This may be caused because android unmounts the SD card from itself when connecting it to the computer (to avoid cross-locking scenarios).
The problem is, that custom ringtones & notifications aren't restored after the SD card (internal) is remounted, USB mode set to charge only/USB removed.
I think it is a general Androis OS problem - the question is, anybody else noticed this or is this known & corrected in 4.0.4?

Sep 16, 2014After the latest update to Android 5.1 the individual ringtones for contacts doesn't work anymore if the mp3 file is in the sdcard.
If the mp3 file is in the internal memory it works correctly. This behaviour was not present with previous versions of android.

May 13, 2011i have blackberry curve 8900. i upgraded the OS from 4.6 to version 5.0. it was successful. i did a back up files before i upgrade and restore it after i upgrade. however when i browse my phone, most of the pre-installed application was lost? no games inside the folder, some program in the applications folder was lost and many more even the third party application. but what i don't understand is why the pre-installed applications are gone? do i need to re-install again these applications?

Following upgrade my calendar, notes and bookmarks were still there but many apps missing, all music gone and most crucially most of my contacts have disappeared although I still have lots of text messages (numbers appearing rather than name) and emails. I have contacts only where their name begins with an A !All backups have disappeared too. I connected to an old laptop and managed to retrieve apps and the music which I had syned from that laptop previously but still no sign of the contacts.

Went into store and saw "genius" who spent an hour unable to fix problem. Changed phone (battery was getting hot) but no help.
looked at his Iphone 4s to sync it with mine but he could not tether his either. The upgrade has fixed some problem but knocked out bluetooth which can not connect to any of my equipment. Ipad, Iphone or coil for hearing aids.
