So I was charging my battery the other night and when it was charged I put it in the phone. When I did this the phone just had a black screen and flashed red three times I thought it was the battery so I ordered a new one and it still didn't work. Is there anyway of fixing this and what is wrong with it?

View 8 Replies View Relatedmy n97 wouldn't charge nor turn on whatever I just see the little led charge light on, I understood this is a software problem with the battery management program which is ridiculous but found myself without a phone so decided to remove battery and take off the plug to an old phone and connect the + and - directly to the battery for 10mins and conected the battery back up turned phone on and connected it onto the main N97 charger and it started normally.

I plugged it in and the power light on the pod lit up but there is no indication on the 9700 that says it is charging when placed in pod and I set the clock to display when charging and that doesn't work when placed in the pod!I bought it from a place called OEM in Brooklyn.
recently I have just received my phone back as I sent it away to get fixed. when I got it back it was perfect, brand new. now, the screen has went completely blank.ni haven't dropped my phone and it hasn't been exposed to water. When i got up it was still doing this but the progress bar gets a quarter of the way then the screen goes blank & it starts again. It has now been about 8 hours & its STILL doing this. Whats going on & how can i get my phone working again?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Blackberry Bold 9000 from work, so I have no ability to install applications and no access to a web or PC interface. The device is connected via AT&T. I set up my personal Gmail account as a second inbox in addition to my work inbox, with only the work email showing in the main inbox. It was working fine until yesterday. I deleted two Gmail messages at once but the Gmail inbox appeared to hang on the message indicating it was deleting the second message. I was able to get out of the Gmail inbox to get to other applications, but the deleting message persisted when I went back into Gmail. I resorted to a battery pull to try to stop the process. When i booted back up, I still had both inbox icons. Opening the Gmail inbox shows an empty message list, but if I search that inbox leaving the search fields blank, it shows all of my messages in the search results. I cannot get the messages to appear without searching for them or setting them to show in my main indox, which I don't want to do.
I have tried repeated battery pulls, soft reset, deleting and recreating the Gmail account on the BB, deleting and resending the service books, and tweaking the synchronization settings for the Gmail account (calendar and contacts), all without success. What else can I try to make my message list appear?

The phone itself is working fine (I am still receiving calls, texts and emails) but the screen won't show anything.I have repeatedly tried to reboot it by removing the battery but that hasn't fixed the issue.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was recently received a brand new Bold 9700 from an aunt in Canada and I had only been using it in the UK for 3 weeks when the screen suddenly went completely white.I can still receive calls, and I can hear bbms and emails arriving but I can't see anything at all. I've have tried the battery pull many times but it still remains the same. I've been told that RIM usually offers a year's warranty on new products but because it was bought in Canada, none of the networks here in the UK are willing to take it in for repair.

View 4 Replies View RelatedYet another problem with my Bold 9930 I'm sad at this point that the device I love so much is already dying on me, hasn't even been 3 months yet I'm going to mention all the problems with this device, but the one that started few weeks ago and has gotten to the point where it just adds on to the frustrationAfter locking the device, when i try to unlock, using the top lock button, I just see blank screen, screen and keypad lit up thou. Sometimes when i restart my device, it won't display the blackberry logo and the progress bar, i just get the blank lit up screen. and after 5 - 10 minutes or so, i use random buttons on the keypad to get the display back, but nothing works. i just see blank screen and lit up keypad. Display would randonly get back but its a pain in the &&& to get the device display back after so many tries

Every time I take the battery out and put it back in it begins to load up the blackberry screen, but gets maybe a 1/4 of the way before flashing white and going completely blank. View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to a bold through Orange (UK Network Provider), phone has been great so far, I have had it for a week. However, I made a call and came back to my phone to find a blank screen and the red light flashing/staying constant intermittently. The phone does not turn on, I have tried taking battery out, sim out, memory card out, attaching it to my computer (which it does not recognize as it needs to be on) charging it etc. I have tried that alt, cap and del reset mechanism too.
Orange told me I will have to send it off this week, but does anyone know any quick fix to turn it on? I have all my contacts on there, stupidly I did not back it up.
I have a bell blackberry bold 9700 unlocked. My provider is with rogers and I have purchased this phone about 5 months ago. About 2 - 3 times a day my bb 9700 screen will blank out and go completely white. I would have to do a battery pull and then my bb will restart and everything will be fine. I have wiped my phone, downgrade the software and upgrade it again. Still nothing is resolved with it blanking out 2 - 3 times a day.

When we put in the phone and start the battery skin we get a flash sign in the battery. So it start charging.[URL]..

I've recently purchased within the last 2 weeks the Blackberry Bold 9780. For some reason I can't get the phone to charge in any Car using the 12v cigarette lighter. I've had no issues with charging it from the Mains and the USB port on a PC. When plugging into the Cigarette lighter, the charger's LED lights up to indicate that there is power being received to the charging unit and after inserting the mini USB connection into the Phone, I get the connection bleep and the clock appears, however after all of this I still get no charging indicator on the battery. Also sometimes when I re-connect the cable I get the below message from the phone:
`Some USB hubs might not provide enough power. Plug the hub into a power outlet (if available) and re-connect your Blackberry device. Try connecting to another USB port (different computer, USB hub or travel charger). Verify that your USB cable is securely connected to your Blackberry device and USB port. Verify that your Computer is standby, hibernate or sleep mode. Verify that Blackberry device USB drivers are installed on your Computer`.
I've now tried three different car chargers all supported by Blackberry - I've sinced purchased one of the Mini USB Chargers that plug into the Cigarette lighter Mini-USB cables - still the same issue... I've tried charging in other cars - also my wife owns a HTC Wildfire and she's able to charge her phone from the Mini USB charger I have recently purchased.
I've spoken to Orange who don't seem to have heard of any issues like this - I've since asked Orange to replace the phone which I'm hoping to receive within the next 24hrs...
