First time using this site! I've got the new BB Bold 9780 & we've been having trouble with phone lines at work so as a result have had all work calls diverted to my mobile. The only problem is i have no way of identifying whether the calls are being made to the office or my personal phone.

Is there an app or a setting that will show which calls are diverted calls and which aren't? I often set a call divert on my office landline to my 9700, but I can't tell which calls were originally made to my office number and which were made direct to my BB. I'd like to know whether the people calling are expecting that I'm at my desk or if they understand that I might be out and about. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks a million.

Never had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
I divert my office landline to my Z3, and I want a different ringtone so I can answer professionally with my company name instead of my usual "Hey".

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have been a BB lover for years. My Curve 5320 served me well and I loved it. When the new Bold 9700 was released I was one of the first to get it b/c businesses were offered the opportunity to get it before individuals. I was so excited about 3G, it's sleek look, etc. My excitement has officially crashed and burned. When placing calls it will fail repeatedly before even dialing the number. It will fail during calls up to 5 and 6 times in a few minute period, which is HORRIBLE during business calls. It will lock up when I'm trying to move between apps, it will spontaneously shut itself off. I'm feeling like my BB is possessed. This is my second 9700. The first the E key would stick or repeat 20 times on a text and the calls would fail, so they diligently sent me a new one. Thankfully, I no longer have to edit every text for 100 e's (i'm stopping @ theeeeeee storeeeeeeeeeee is theeeeeeereeeeeee anything you neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed), but the failed calls thing is really pissing me off! Also, the volume on calls is really low in comparison to my Curve. To top it off, the 3G speed seems as slow as, if not slower than my former EDGE. I am hoping and praying that a software upgrade will fix all of these issues, but if it doesn't are there any suggestions as to what i can do? Other than switching to an iPhone? I for one happen to love my Qwerty keyboard and am not exactly fond of the on-screen keyboards.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI run a very small business and I'm occasionally on-site at my customers office most of the time. So whenever i'm out, i divert my office number to my Nexus 6P.
So the issue is that it's quite difficult for me to distinguish between a personal call or if it's a diverted call from my office to my Nexus 6P. Previously on Nokia or certain Samsung phones, there was an 'indicator icon' showing that it was a diverted/forwarded call. This worked for me tremendously.
It's definitely a phone feature and *not* a carrier issue. Have downloaded 3 apps (2 free and 1 paid) from the Play store, but they all do not seem to work. Am on "Pure Nexus" ROM.
For the last few days all of my calls are breaking up on incoming and outgoing. At first I thought that it was the other person that I was talking to but after doing many calls, it is my phone.Is there anything I could do to get this problem solved?

I bought E72 two weeks ago. Glad at first days. Start to get mad few days later when Ovi maps crash/restart (what the hell happened, it was ok previously??) I check the firmware and its still ver 021. So I download the Ovi Suite and Softaware Updater (for E72). My PC OS is Windows XP SP2. The Ovi Suite is crash every time I open it (windows error). So I unstall it and download PC Suite (for E72) and PC Suite works fine .. I try some menus like backup, copy photos, etc. and its oke. Then I try to run Software Updated from PC Suite. But It can not recognize my phone! I follow every single step that mentioned in the SU dialog or in SU help including removing the battery, disconnecting usb cable .. even reinstalling and redownloading the SU and PC Suite. And it still doesn't work .. SU can not recognize my phone while PC Suite can. I have reinstall and redownload SU & PCS twice! Why is it so hard to just update a firmware?

I have an iPhone 5. For some reason, it is not able to identify my SIM card. It just shows No SIM. I've tried everything. My SIM card works in other phones, and I've also put 2 other different nano SIM cards in my iPhone and they work!
This is very strange since my SIM is working on other phones (haven't tried it in an iPhone, though) and others SIM cards are working on my iPhone. I have Nokia 5800 phone, whose firmware I want to update to v40. But the latest NSU is not able to identify my phone. Whereas PC Suite and Ovi Suite will readily identify my phone. I have a 4GB SD card and usually run at 34gb free space..over the course of 3-4 days i drop to 8-9gb and txt starts getting real slow.. battery pull solves the prob its just a hassle.
I use my phone with my home wifi network, but after sometime, It stopped connecting with the message "Failed to identify with network".
