I write this post because I have a new nokia 5230 but I think I have a problem and don´t know how to solve. The question is when I receive an incoming call the telephone only show me the number of the call, not the number and the name of the person who calls me. How can I configure the telephone that shows me the name of the person who calls me please?
I just both a new iPhone 6 and surprise, I do not find the way to identify the incoming calls by a different ringtone. This possibility was very available on iPhone 4S my last.
First time using this site! I've got the new BB Bold 9780 & we've been having trouble with phone lines at work so as a result have had all work calls diverted to my mobile. The only problem is i have no way of identifying whether the calls are being made to the office or my personal phone.
First time poster here. Can anyone tell me if there is a way of knowing which calls have diverted from my office number and which are made directly to my Blackberry 9700? Is there an app or a setting that will show which calls are diverted calls and which aren't? I often set a call divert on my office landline to my 9700, but I can't tell which calls were originally made to my office number and which were made direct to my BB. I'd like to know whether the people calling are expecting that I'm at my desk or if they understand that I might be out and about. Is there any way of doing this? Thanks a million.

Every time I answer an incoming call there is a annoying delay for a couple of seconds before the other person can hear me. does anyone have any solution for this?
volume - sound is very low in E72 practically useless for conference particularly during incoming call sound is really pathetic. Nokia should improve it. Is there any method to increase the volume.
I frequently have black screen when i receive a phone call when i am outdoors !? When i am indoors, this does not happen.Anybody else have the same problem ?
I just got my new Lumia yesterday, have set everything up. However I've had 3 incoming calls, all which come up with answer/reject, then that screen disappears within a second so I've been unable to accept the calls. The screen shown is as if the call has been auto-answered but there is no one on the line.
i have nokia n79 phone and i cannot hear sometime incoming calls, this happen two or three times in month, i have flashed the phone whith the last software and nothing happen, i have till the same problem... also i changed the ear speaker but same nothing fixed yet..
I just got the E72 from a friend 2 days ago. However, I'm noticing that for incoming texts and calls, it shows that the time received is 4 hours behind from when I've actually received it. The time on my phone is set and the time on outgoing texts and call are fine but incoming texts and calls are inaccurate. Is there any way to fix this?I live in Vancouver BC, Canada and my friend got this phone for me in Hong Kong. Does that affect anything.
Since flashing my phone to update to PR1.2, any time I get a phone call from someone who is in my Contacts, it just displays the telephone number, which can cause an issue if I don't recognise it at first glance.Any ideas what could have caused this and how to resolve? Can it be due to the update? If this post has helped anyone in any way, PLEASE SHARE YOUR KUDOS, by clicking on the GREEN STAR.
I would like to know how to make the ringtone in the incoming calls in my Nokia 5800 to sound only from the headset? When I have the headset on, and someone calls me, the ringtone can be heard from both the speakers and the headsets, which I think make no sense at all. I'm using the headset that comes with the phone BTW
My 5800 only shows the phone number, not the name of the person / business (as listed in my contacts).Shouldn't this happen automatically or is there are setting for this?
I got a Nokia Lumia 610 two weeks ago on contract. Love it. My type of phone. Problem is, recently I cannot recieve incoming calls from my friends and family. Some are important. Now, this mainly happens when I am at home. I went to Phones4u when I got it from and they said 'oh its your signal'. But I checked my signal online through Vodafone... guess what? My phone can recieve calls and text messages. My mum has an Blackberry and she can recieve incoming calls, she lives in the same house as me.I just do not get it. Is there something wrong with the phone? Is it the signal? Just need some help because I am missing important phone calls from my friends and family.
When I first got my N8-00 I had no problems at all, until 6 months later I dropped it from a height of 2ft. Then I got all the problems, automatically turning off and restarting 100 times a day etc, etc. I took it to my phone supplier who replaced it with a new one, that had the new Anna software installed. Since then whenever I get or make calls the screen goes totally blank.
It is really annoying as I cannot see who is calling or if the call has gone through. I have to manually unlock the phone to attend the call. Also having problems answering the calls as sometimes I have to press the answer button 3-4 times. Finally now 3 months after having this phone it has started turning off and restarting automatically, but only about once a week, so far. I have all the latest Anna updates but these problems still persist.
I saw notification area settings while I was surfing via menus when I bought the phone newly. Then I couldn't find it again. I want to put e-mail notificatons into the notification area like missing calls and incoming messages. I remember there was a settings like that.
We've upgraded successfully our two US Moto X Pure Edition devices to Marshmallow yesterday. After upgrade completed, the numbers of calling contact are not being recognized anymore, although these contact exists and saved in android's Contact app, and backed up in Gmail accounts. Also, all incoming and outgoing calls in the call log are not recognized, although they were recognized before the upgrade.
This is very critical for us, since one of the phones is used as a business phone and it's crucial for us to know who's calling.
My phone will not make calls, but I can still text just fine. I want to make sure if it's a network issue or if something happened with the phone itself. I have never dropped it and I always have the projective screens/covers.
For the last few days all of my calls are breaking up on incoming and outgoing. At first I thought that it was the other person that I was talking to but after doing many calls, it is my phone. Is there anything I could do to get this problem solved?
I have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at 1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages. It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?
